The Morning Report - 12/11/20

chiproyshot.jpg

Good morning, kids. The weekend is here and the big story is "The Big One" keeps getting bigger. The Texas-led lawsuit against the PaGaMiWi now includes six more states - Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Utah - as well as 106 House Republicans who have filed an amicus brief joining the suit. That said where were the other 106 GOP Congressmen as well as our contingent in the Senate? Well, they seem to be co-conspirators after the fact in the greatest crime in American history, the theft of the 2020 election.

The most galling thing about these individuals is their cloaking themselves in the mantle of righteousness and justice as they slice the collective neck of the citizenry with the rusty hacksaw.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) announced earlier on Thursday that he would not be signing on to the House Republicans' amicus because he thought the lawsuit filed by Texas "represents a dangerous violation of federalism & sets a precedent to have one state asking federal courts to police the voting procedures of other states."

"The American people are raising legitimate questions & they deserve answers. I strongly support the continued pursuit of litigation where most likely to succeed -- such as Georgia to bring to light any illegal votes & encourage, if necessary, state legislatures to alter their electors accordingly," Roy said on Twitter. "But, I cannot support an effort that will almost certainly fail on grounds of standing and is inconsistent with my beliefs about protecting Texas sovereignty from the meddling of other states."

Really, Chip Roy? RUFKM?! Pennsylvania's executive branch with the rubber stamp of its corrupt supreme court usurped the absolute authority of its legislature and changed election procedures. They not only disenfranchised their own voters but every voter in the nation. The blatant violation of the Constitution in that regard at a minimum demands that SCOTUS at least hear this case, let alone rule in favor of Trump in the unlikely event they decide to actually adjudicate it and thereby decide the election. I'm not even going to get into the details of what happened late on election night which was made possible because of the illegal changing of the election laws in the first place. Chip Roy and idiots, cowards and stooges like him are hiding behind the niceties of procedures while seditious criminals and traitors are on the verge of overthrowing the nation and seizing power once and for all. One wonders if Miss Kiss Kiss Fang Fang has a sister who loves to dip some Chip long time too. Asshole.

Speaking of sedition, the Keystone State's AG Josh Shapiro belched this up:

Pennsylvania said that Texas was guilty of "seditious abuse of the judicial process." Sedition is commonly understood as rebellion, and is defined more precisely in federal criminal law as an attempt to overthrow the United States government.

Since Election Day, State and Federal courts throughout the country have been flooded with frivolous lawsuits aimed at disenfranchising large swaths of voters and undermining the legitimacy of the election. The State of Texas has now added its voice to the cacophony of bogus claims. Texas seeks to invalidate elections in four states for yielding results with which it disagrees. Its request for this Court to exercise its original jurisdiction and then anoint Texas's preferred candidate for President is legally indefensible and is an afront [sic] to principles of constitutional democracy...

Texas's effort to get this Court to pick the next President has no basis in law or fact. The Court should not abide this seditious abuse of the judicial process, and should send a clear and unmistakable signal that such abuse must never be replicated.

Shapiro drew calls for his resignation after stating, before Election Day, that Trump did not have the votes to win the state.

Amazing how a week before the election, this shyster fraud was cocksure Trump was going to come up short, even though by 9:30PM on election night he was leading by a virtually insurmountable 650,000-plus votes. Aside from the fact that an attorney general does not know we live in a constitutional representative republic and not a democracy, again it galls me how these people project and throw out the truth, justice and the American way hyperbole. That said, if you sort of read between the lines, the more inflammatory the rhetoric, the more it reveals that they are scared shitless that this election might actually slip away from them.

The galling thing is that, as we all know, the state legislatures which are controlled by the GOP have the power under Article II to select the electors to the Electoral College as they see fit, especially in circumstances like this. They do not need a go-ahead from SCOTUS, but my sense is is that is what they seem to be looking for. So, if I had to take a guess, the mindset is:

1 - SCOTUS rules that indeed the way the election procedures were hijacked in these states was blatantly unconstitutional, but they will not decide the election in favor of Trump or the Polident-elect but throw the decision back to the state legislatures to assign their electors accordingly, as per Article II.

2 - The state legislatures can either assign all or most of their electors to Trump and thereby end this nightmare, while simultaneously touching off another one or...

2a - ...Refuse to assign any electors at all leaving neither Trump nor the Polident-elect with the required 270 electoral votes to claim the presidency.

3 - This results in the election being thrown over to the House of Representatives where each of the 50 states (excluding Obama's 7 extras) will cast a vote to decide the issue.

4 - ?????

5 - Profit!

Of course, all of the above can only happen if the Supreme Court decides to take up the case. And that means John Roberts. Given now the scope of this thing and its implications, I cannot imagine him not taking it. Forgetting his hatred for President Trump, the man no doubt has an ego that is right up there with Obama. How could he possibly pass up an opportunity like this to be in the history books. If we assume - and it's a big assumption - that the other five normal justices rule in favor of Texas et al, John Roberts will swallow hard and make it a 6-3 decision just so that he could write what arguably would be the most important majority decision in the Court's history, no doubt tinged with barbs against the President on every other line.

Now, that said, I don't want to even contemplate Texas et al losing at SCOTUS. That would mean Roberts and Gorsuch, with perhaps Kavanaugh, jumping ship to the other side. But if that should happen, whither Texas, the 18 states, 106 Congressmen and the state legislatures? Crucially, as I stated earlier, the latter still have the power to not only do their Constitutional duty but to do the morally right thing and save the nation, at least temporarily, regardless of what SCOTUS decides. If all of them suddenly get a case of Chip Roy-itis, throw up their hands and defer to a Supreme Court decision that in purely legal terms is irrelevant vis a vis their own (the legislatures') authority, yet would be in the pantheon of infamy with Dred Scot, Plessy, Korematsu and Roe, then what the hell are they doing complaining about the unconstitutional usurpation of power by the lower courts in the first place? With a decision against Texas, SCOTUS itself would have underscored the corruption of the entire judicial branch at every level.

Texas, G-d bless it (in a positive and non-sarcastic sense) has, with this case, unsheathed a political sword. Whatever SCOTUS may decide, it's too late to put it back. If all of these individuals and entities believe as we all do that the republic is on the verge of being overthrown, there is no alternative than to set things right by either having the courage to go the Article II route and assign Trump electors to the Electoral College or let the House vote 26-24 Trump. There is no alternative to this. The American people, justice and whatever last vestige of the nation as founded that remains demand it.

Happy Hanukkah and have a good weekend. And don't forget to say your prayers...

What is there that makes us believe that there is enough of us there to even have a chance at winning New York, especially if youre talking about votes.

25 If we make it past the SCOTUS hurdle, we still have to find enough Republicans within the states' legislatures who aren't RINOs, and who have the courage to vote for Trump. The intimidation and violence against them, their families, their businesses, and anyone remotely connected to them will be fierce. I'm not hopeful.

Posted by: windbag at December 11, 2020 07:13 AM (M9qxJ)

26 I actually think the bigger this thing gets, the less likely a judge will be willing to rule. Most of the lawsuits have been dismissed not because they were frivolous, but because the judges were looking for excuses including early suits before the election pointing out the illegal changes to voting laws (no harm has occurred), to lack of standing, or laches where they claim plaintiffs waited too long. I think the more likely the suit is to prevail, the less likely a judge wants to touch it.

Posted by: iandeal at December 11, 2020 07:13 AM (gohv5)

27 Really, Chip Roy? RUFKM?!

One thing I seem to have missed. If Roy were sincere (""The American people are raising legitimate questions & they deserve answers. I strongly support the continued pursuit of litigation where most likely to succeed"), surely he would be trying to bring this about. What has he done?

Apart from the obvious, it's funny to hear this kind of response when we've had blue states attempting to interfere with red states for years now, though not via the courts. See: every state that has instituted more restrictive abortion laws, bathroom laws that prevent transgenders from using bathrooms and locker-rooms for opposite biological sex, etc.. These blue state/city leaders declare no government people can go to events in these states, get their celebrity CEOs to boycott the states, and so on.

As always, the Left is totally OK with questioning and attempting to overturn other states' laws when it suits their progressive goals and values.

33 If I murder someone, and the judge and jury find me guilty of murder, that does not mean that the judge and jury have caused the death of an innocent person.

It is the height of absurdity to say that the courts would "decide" the election, or "hand" anything over to Trump and his voters (the truly aggrieved party).

The voters decided the election. The DNC and its nefarious allies murdered that decision. The SCOTUS, Lord willing, will judge them properly for that murder.

IIANM, the great propagandists were extremely careful never to lie about a material fact. Their lies were all in phrasing, presentation and omission.

And if an outright lie was deemed necessary, then they went all the way, as blatant as possible, to preclude any chance of thinking that they were merely wrong.

A good propagandist says their mark is a liar for saying the sun rises in the east, as it rises somewhat south of east.

A bad propagandist says the sun rises in the west.

A great propagandist says the sun is flat.

The FBI has been investigating Hunter since 2018. They could have done this in 2018. Or 2019. Or 2020 before November. They even sent out 50 Intelligence Professionals(tm) before the election to call it all Russian Dizinformation.

But they waited 'til after the election--yet before Inauguration--to push this China story. It's very curious.

To be clear, I believe President Trump will be inaugurated on Jan. 20th. But they don't.

Here's another question: who were the Obamas candidates?

A: That would be Kamala Harris and Corey Booker. They were supposed to be pushed into the spotlight by their collusion with Jussie Smollet for an Anti-Lynching bill. But that fell apart like Smollet's fairy tale in Chicago's frigid night air.

Conclusion: I think Obama is using Hunter as a means to retire Parkinson's Joe, elevate Kamala Harris and have her pick Corey Booker as veep. And before any Inauguration.

After all, even Democrats know Joe will crack under pressure. Already, he slips up and says true things, much to everyone's shock and dismay. Like the other day when he said: "But, and, like I told Barack, if I read something where there's a fundamental disagreement we have based on a moral principle, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll developed some disease and say I have to resign."

Like the moral principle of, say, taking payoffs from China? No, clearly old Joe can't be allowed anywhere near power.

I think the FBI threw in Swallwell's five-year-old Fang-Wang-Bang story just to chum the "China! China! China!"-waters.

When we ask "Cui bono?"--Who benefits?--the answer comes up the Obamas, who would get their favorite candidates installed without their fingerprints at the crime scene.

Except, of course, for President-Elect Donald J. Trump, by the Grace of Our Lord Jesus.

1. State Legs are the reason we're in this mess. They failed to do their jobs and now you're going to give them a do-over?

2. Mechanics of Legs making a determination? Not realistic. As one commenter recently tried to learn me, there are many ways it could be done. Exactly. How long will it take to even determine how to determine what they want to determine? Anyone here familiar with the adjective "byzantine"?

3. Way too much fear factor for the Legs. As much as Hodgkinson tried, he didn't kill anyone. Local Hodgies are going to have better luck.

4. This is the kind of mess that Congress, the federal representative of the people (supposedly) needs to fix.

99 Never watched the Bon Appetit Youtube channel, but this sounds sad:

Then after the months-long silence, the Bon Appetit YouTube channel flickered back to life, but the new videos only cemented what many had come to fear: The channel, which abandoned her fans when they needed her most, returned as a Frankenstein's monster.

The first video wasn't about cooking. It featured no levity except that which was written into the carefully produced segment. The charm was gone. It was just an introductory video from the new leadership team: executive editor Sonia Chopra, global brand adviser chef Marcus Samuelsson, and editor-in-chief Dawn Davis.

It didn't just happen at Bon Appetit. NYT food writer and savvy social media star Alison Roman (her instagram recipes go viral) became the woke-scolds' target. In an interview she slammed 3 celebrity foodies, two of whom were not white. Chrissy Tiegen, one of the people mentioned by Roman, then used her celebrity to set the social media mob after Roman for raaacism and cultural apprpriation.

155 I think that 51% poll is the best they could cook up. It is likely vastly greater. You cannot tell me that in states that Biden "won," like PA, where the truth is Trump actually won by 750k+, that there aren't 100s of 1000s of voters that don't realize their voices were stolen from them in those states. Factor in other states' voters that have heard testimony and seen obvious, blatant evidence of fraud. An accurate poll, one that wasn't caressed to not look so bad, is likely several points higher.

Maybe the cheaters miscalculated just a wee bit that brazenly disenfranchising so many millions of people through fraud was going to result in us just sitting back and saying, "oh well..."

1. The vast majority of people, including almost all women, are not going to want to live in a pre-industrial state, which is what a hot civil war will cause;

2. Dissolution will, at best, result in Central America norte. Nah, one of the great advantages of having a large country like this is the wealth of resources, economic multiplier effect, etc. It's not workable. Besides, what are you going to do when Iran, China, et. al., begin funneling troops into Blue America?

3. The same people who couldn't be bothered to participate in local and state government are going to band together and create a new nation by armed, and coordinated, force? Pull my finger.

Artist Clemente is known locally as "Banana Joe," for growing tropical fruit and plants on the island. He was driving on northern Salt Spring in March 2018 when he came across about 50 people marching in military camouflage fatigues and boots. Clemente's 35-second video shows they were primarily women, apparently Chinese.

"Not a lot of things shock me, but that shocked me. We don't have any military bases here," Clemente said, still wondering if he happened upon training for a cult.

The Supreme Court will completely shut us down. I'll bet hardly even an explanation. If they in any way concede the illegitimacy of the election, give any legal cover or credence to our case, in their minds they will have opened a can of worms that will lead to civic chaos.

221 SIL and 27 year school teacher told me her kids have fallen back a full year already, except for the few with organized family efforts on the home front are doing ok. But it's the rest that are losing ground. They have forgotten much of what they learned. And then, there are the 30% of all students who have simply "disappeared". But no problem, the Fed Gov still pays the school district 12k for each of those phantom students.

Like I mentioned a while ago, the names and addresses of all of those private schools that the elite have been sending their kids to all along, with no interruption, decent meals and a good education...

Bombard them, and drop off your kids there. Surround the schools with your own kids.

This is just another way for them to destroy the middle class. Dummy them down. Make the parents jobless. Make the middle class dumb and in poverty.

I hate the democrats, the nevertrumpers and the gope more every day. They are hurting good people. Destroying children. They really are demons.

One thing I have seen with consistency the last 4 years is that the Democrats go out of their way to throw blame at others for things they are doing themselves, in spades.

226 Wow, what a link, JJ, but I doubt the antifa freaks of BLM cultists will hear any warning:

One of the killing fields we visited was a prison known as S-21, or Tuol Sleng. It was a former boarding school converted into nothing less than a concentration camp for those who opposed the socialist policies of the Khmer Rouge. Or those who had been merely accused or suspected of doing so. I have seen the bloodstains from the tortures inflicted by the Khmer Rouge. I have seen the metal bed frames where people were electrocuted. I have seen the scaffolding from which the victims were hung and dunked headfirst into vats of human excrement. I have seen trees that were literally bent by the impact of Khmer Rouge soldiers repeatedly beating them with infants. I have seen the skulls.

All of this was done in the name of Cambodia's own "great reset." All of this was done to "right wrongs." All of this was done for the "greater good." You see, no one commits an act of evil in the name of evil. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, all murdered millions in the name of high and lofty ideals. . .

At one point, like any regime such as Pol Pot's, based on accusations, arrests and incrimination you eventually run out of villains. Or you run very low on them. But the problem is that by this point, there exists a society based on exposing enemies. That of course means you need a steady supply of violators to keep the machine properly oiled. In the case of Cambodia, the Khmer Rouge guards who had so enjoyed caging and torturing their victims soon discovered that someone had turned them in. They found themselves occupying the same cells they had watched over, and suffering through the very tortures they had savored inflicting. No one is safe in a situation like that, no matter how loud you may proclaim your loyalty. Eventually, the Khmer Rouge, the SS, KGB or Stassi comes for you

In a past life I was a call center manager for a top 5 financial institution. I've had that conversation many times.

Best was a guy calling in raging about his "fat ass c* daughter who bought two Whoppers instead of one" causing an overdraft cascade of like ten fees. Poor associate has been getting yelled at for ten minutes so I step in.

"Sir, all these transactions for CCBill (five of them in a week for $29.95)- are they legitimate?"

"Dat shit got nothing to do with it! Its the cheeseburgers!"

"Sir- I'm trying to help; are they legit?"

"...yeah."

"Sir, you get all twelve sites from BangBros with one subscription- you don't have to resub at each one."

*gears whirling* "You serious?"

"As a heart attack. You get some refunded, we'll help with the fees."

"You the man! Thanksbye!"

They were playing the audio from that call in meetings for weeks.

Equity is a structural and systemic concept, which requires an understanding of the root causes of outcome disparities within our society. Improving equity means promoting justice, impartiality and fairness within the procedures, processes, and distribution of resources by institutions or systems.

Equity vs. Equality
While their definitions might be similar, it's important to understand that equity is not the same thing as equality.
- Equality: Giving everyone the exact same resources
- Equit: Distributing resources based on the needs of the recipients

1. The vast majority of people, including almost all women, are not going to want to live in a pre-industrial state, which is what a hot civil war will cause;

We give up and talk about not voting and encourage others to stay home..... yeah that will show the GOPe.
No, all that does is help the Democrats and hurts us in the end.
We need to see the big picture and play to win the long game by not cutting off our nose to spite our face.

Roberts has actively undermined the integrity of the court and the rule of law. Leaving aside his legislating from the bench with his "it's a tax" nonsense, the members of the FISA Court with all of its problems were selected by him.

--

A big THIS. If he cared about the integrity of the court, and to me that means the upholding of the Constitution as written, he would've never become known as his forever legacy: "it's a tax."

Matter of fact, he destroyed the integrity. He didn't uphold it.

Which they have so far, convinced the courts is the issue.

Vote fraud is irrelevant to the Texas suit. It is a simple question:
Did these states follow the law passed by their legislature?

And that's where they start dancing and lying even more about it's just minor interpretations, insignificant changes well within the statute and besides even if there was no, harm.

And it's not meddling: If a crime is committed in one state and that crime affects another state, is it meddling to demand that state enforce its laws?

381 I IIANM, the great propagandists were extremely careful never to lie about a material fact.

It's darkly amusing that, on one hand, they argue Texas should be barred because they didn't file suit before the election--before any actual harm.

But, on the other hand, they parade all sorts of future horrors before the court as reason to deny this case--before any actual harm.

Yes, they are trying to have it both ways.

I don't think you are; a lot of people I know are getting out of PA now. And it's ideological; we feel like the state is just suddenly incredibly oppressive and we don't see that changing as it ages EVEN MORE.

PA allows retirees with pensions to not pay tax on that. So we are full up with former government drones from all over the country. They make things here... pretty awful. They don't tend to be nice older folk in the main. Kind of miserable and entitled.

Anyway it's going to go this way. People who want to LIVE and be free will go to where they can do that. Then a separation can happen hopefully more gradually, I'm hoping the FedGov (which is immense) will collapse and allow regions a lot more freedom from federal tyranny. There are a lot of ways that can happen.

Regardless, we in PA know that Philly/Pitt will always enslave us. Plus the retirees and the massive recent immigrant influx. The future of the state is in when the retiring govt drone boomers die off, but that will be a long while to wait and be bled dry. got to get out now before they make it hard.

MSM is already the Orwellian Ministry of Truth, run by Big Corp, but also by our own government propaganda agencies. Biden's Goons would send out the secret police to arrest Q "anons", and that will include any that become effective at revealing truth.

The Q (anon) movement is large, and the powerful part is the very active individuals that do their own research and support each other. They unite around Trump's pre-election 2016 speech about "Our Movement ... is to take down the globalist cabal". Tracy Beanz iirc, got started that way, but then continued in an independent way ... and that is how much of the activist movement continues, not dependent on Q, but grouped around the idea of a resistance movement.

(Tracy's house burned down a week or so ago, after she interviewed Patrick Byrne, who is funding some of the current efforts against the Coup, encouraging others to back Sydney Powell's team)

It would be darkly amusing if they did call for a new election that followed the rules - with close independent observation and the vote totals are half what they were claimed for the election in November.

Chip Roy is wrong and a tool and so is the Idaho AG who is following the same reasoning in refusing to join the case. It is not a threat to state sovereignty to make that state live up to its constitutional duty. Whether the word fraud appears in the Constitution or not, it is still unconstitutional to cheat in federal elections as it denies the rights of citizens not only in the cheating state but also nationwide.

It is my belief that secession is the absolute right of any state. If the cheating states DO NOT want to live up to their constitutional duties, they can leave the Union and then will no longer be bound by those duties. But while they are in the Union, they do not get to cheat all American people.

441 It's interesting to review the story of the Maccabees, even if you just look at the Wiki stub. It was a great cleansing of Israel after the neo-Greek regime run by the Seleucids (descended from one of Alexander's generals) had attempted to abolish the Jewish religion and replace it with Greek culture. Significant is that the first move by the Maccabees and their supporters was to kill all of their fellow Jews who had decided that the Greeks were right and they should just all go along with them. They didn't argue with them. They just slit their throats.

Posted by: SFGoth at December 11, 2020 09:26 AM (KAi1n)

474 SCOTUS will need to quickly decide when it needs to make rulings based on this calendar:

Federal Law requires that on Monday, Dec. 14, the Electors to meet in their respective States and cast their votes. Those votes are required to be reported to the US Senate by Dec. 23. But those results are not officially required to be sent to both House of the new Congress until Jan. 3. On Jan. 6, both Houses meet in joint session to officially count the Electoral Votes and declare winner or no winner.

Clear? I have no idea what SCOTUS will decide is its deadline or deadlines for rulings as requested by the Texas filing.

485 Like most of Congress, Chip doesn't understand the Constitution. This isn't some wayward, vague constitutional issue wholly left up to the states. It is a federal election in which the power of state legislatures who are responsible for the "manner" of elections, has been usurped and subverted by their judiciary and other officials. It is also a situation where the federal government, namely the president, has been chosen in some states through fraud and malfeasance. That undermines other states and eventually the federal government through illegal subversion and unconstitutional process.

503 I don't understand the TX lawsuit ... but my own view is to compare it to a 50 house subdivision, with an HOA with rules. Four homes have put junk cars in their front yard (or other abuses of the agreements). So One homeowner, then 21 others ... sued because they were breaking the initial agreement, and devaluing every homeowners property.

Not sure that is the way to make the point ... but the homeowners have wide latitude, but it is constrained. For states, they have to let the people choose ... so for the homeowner, say gang leaders came in and forced the homeowner to let them make meth in their home ... whatever.

Point is, the free people were overruled by a criminal gang ... the other homes are taking action, since the compromised homeowner will not.

True Vote is an enemy of Deepstate ... stealing elections is a key element ... let people think they have a vote)

Tony Shaffer (former CIA) said he learned of ways to covertly mark ballots (we have discussed this) ... so if this tech was not deployed , at the least after they stole the 2018 election, who was blocking those efforts?

if they did mark the ballots and can expose fakes, why has that not happened? All that are part of this coordinated effort to obstruct FBI/DOJ efforts to catch the crooks (if there are any white hats actually trying to do that) ... those that obstruct are seditionists ... hang them all.

520 Following up on your options 2(a) and 3 and answering the question as to "What if Texas et al lose?"

What if those 18 states reacted to a loss by ALL refusing to nominate Electors? Then, as per Option #3, it would be impossible for either Trump or Biden to attain 270 Electoral votes...then the whole thing would go to the House of Representatives.

This would obviously be an extraordinary step...but given the comprehensive fraud orchestrated by the Democrats maybe it would be justified. The Democrats would have reaped what they sowed.

you have a point ... I think the movement became bigger than Q. If he was a LARP (most likely) he was just wrong ... or maybe just encouraging people to trust Trump (and hence Q the LARP had too much trust in Trump choosing loyal people?).

Many left the Q thing early (like Tracy Beanz) ... but the general movement continues. Amazing Polly was sorta on the bandwagon, but not always ... and there are many "factions" of the Q thing not in harmony with each other. The binding element imo, is not Q, it is the recognition of the need for a united front against DeepState mafia.

imo the effort was too successful to be an enemy op ... but maybe it is a controlled resistance thing, idk. Whatever resistance emerges should probably not be run by Q, unless he emerges as a real insider white hat. Some of those exist that do not hide their names.

525 Looking over the PA response to the TX lawsuit, here is the question I would ask the PA lawyers. "Assuming for the sake of argument that the PA election was indeed fraudulent, how would your arguments in this case change?" Then "They wouldn't change at all? Then your arguments don't add any useful information to this court, since they defend fraud every bit as well as they defend a fair election."
By the way, the PA argument that the mail in votes represent different populations statistically, is spurious; they both come from the population of voters in PA.

No matter how this works out, the Republic is damaged, perhaps fatally, because the Bolsheviks object to liberty and the Constitutional Republic.

This isn't going to end on 20 January regardless of how it is resolved. One major question is how bloody the process becomes. If you think the last four years were bad, I suspect the next four will be worse.

529 Probably no one will see this comment but I will drop it here anyway.

Chip Roy's objections to the lawsuit are neither principled nor sincere. Shocking, I know.

Roy has a lot of personal animus toward Texas AG Ken Paxton who filed the lawsuit. Paxton has spent his entire tenure in office under constant political attack, not unlike President Trump in fact. Chip Roy called for Paxton's resignation based on....get this....the seriousness of the allegations which were made (and again, prepared to be shocked) without evidence.

C'mon man! If all it takes is some so-called serious allegations to warrant an elected official's resignation, no elected official would ever be able to serve a full term in office.

Anyway, Chip was elected as a True Conservative and has since proven himself to be anything but. He's more like Bill Kristol except with less hair.
