Good Morning Morons. Today is Saturday, December 5, 2020. On this day in 1933 the Twenty-first Amendment to the United States Constitution was ratified. This was one of the biggest mistakes congress has ever made. It was later repealed with the requirement that it be voted on by the people and not the State legislatures.

I think a lot of the governors, like my very own Illinois Lord Jumbo, are keeping the boot on our necks until they know they've got Joe behind the wheel and he can okay the bajillion dollars from the feds that states. like Illinois, need to "balance" their budgets. I'm re-reading Solzhenitsyn's Warning to the West. Except for whose ass we kiss leading to our demise, he's right on target. Western corporations sold plenty of equipment to the Soviets to help them maintain their iron fist over conquered peoples, but were fortunately stopped at some point from keeping it up. Now our techies are greedy enough to do the same and to sellout their own countrymen this time out, and with the assistance of both parties (just about everyone but PDT).
People may not like his "mean tweets", but he's a man of law and order and maintaining the Constitution. Can't say the same for the others, only Rudy, Alito and Thomas. Posted by: CN at December 05, 2020 06:24 AM (ONvIw) Posted by: San Franpsycho at December 05, 2020 06:25 AM (EZebt) 67

Democrat Clinton Judge blocks Trump's efforts to eliminate the illegal DACA program. How is it that a far left judge in a Northern district can make rulings for the entire country? Because the U.S. is a defendant. The law is either good as to the defendant everywhere or it's not. It can't be good here and bad there, for instance. The district court has not enjoined someone who is not a defendant. The GOP needs to be destroyed and replaced.
That is fun to say, but that requires ignoring the shrewdness of eight-hundred pound gorillas in the room. First, is there even a nation anymore? Yeah, there is a collection of tribes in a quasi economic zone, but without rule of law, how can any role in leadership, office or responsibility claim a right to authority? Second, outside of the plutocracy that obvious has settled in, how is that supposed to be broken up or neutered? Get a crowd of people standing around waving relic flags and chanting jingoist phrases from a country long dissolved? Third, an argument can easily be made from the religious viewpoint that the character of the people are at the point where it is in God's mercy that we aren't living under a Nebuchadnezzar rule and are merely trending heavily towards a godless, amoral, nihilistic model that mirrors Communist China. And in case you haven't noticed. Even a multi-billionaire with eighty-million supporters is having a bit of a struggle against an entrenched establishment that will fight like the third monkey trying to get on the ark, to maintain and increase their despotic power. In 2018, deaths followed the normal pattern (although at a higher level than normal). In 2020, deaths did not follow the normal pattern they should have been declining in the spring, but instead increased substantially, Anderson added. So they death rate for the year DID NOT change. So what had happed was that a ruling made in the spring forces more staff per patient (or conversely less patient per staff). The bed are there, just not the staff.
With my conversations with people who are long term veterans in the business, the staffing, both skills and ratios differs based on what the patient needs are. While the traditional patient / staff ratio holds for all of the established loads, it has been variable for the CoViD. The biggest problem is turnover rate. CoViD is burning up a lot of time. On a more positive note, while distancing and masks are the most worthless forms of NPI and that appears to be the singular focus of government and every entity that is being bought off by them, it seems at the street level there is a huge uptick in the behaviors that do matter. People are eating healthier, empirically there are far more people running / jogging / just out walking; it is still near impossible to get kettlebells, bicycles and other items that substitute for gym memberships. So getting natural vitamin D, increasing one's metabolic health, decreasing their waistline - all of those things that do materially ward off CoViD's worst effects are being deployed by the people who government thinks are too stupid to help themselves. I fully understand the Sisyphean task that accompanies destroying and supplanting one of the two main political parties. This has actually been attempted before, resulting in utter failure. However! This time might be different, this time, we are seeing in real-time, one party conspiring with another party to defeat a Presidential candidate. That, I don't believe, we have ever seen before. That could be galvanizing or not. But whatever the case may be, we cannot long continue with one party trampling over us while another party sells us out lock stock and barrel for 30 pieces of Yuan and a little pork. I went to find more on the Theodore Dalrymple mentioned in the ONT. I'd never heard of him before but there's quite a bit out there to examine.
A couple of books: "A View From The Bottom" and "Our Culture, What is Left of It" can be highly depressing books. They are compilations of articles written MUCH earlier. In AVFTB, many date prior to 2000. It is those articles that are ironically encouraging. His role in dealing with this earth's bottom feeders, is going to make it look like this is the norm. In one chapter he briefly mentions an unmarried couple who for unclear reasons decided to take their child by the ankles and swing him head first into the wall killing the child. This is typical of the people who he interacts with. The "encouraging" part is that what we are seeing around us isn't new at all. If anything, 2020 has made the things around us more obvious, and these things have been going on since Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden. I don't believe that he is a man of faith, if he is, it isn't apparent in his writings, but he does indeed strongly confirm the Calvinistic understanding of the depravity of man. His books, to Americans, will appear prophetic because the UK has a bit of a head-start on the former United States in terms of spiritual and moral decline. What would be a good primer to read before Dalrymple's books would be the second half of Romans 1, where Paul outlines what I call the Romans Road towards Reprobation. This is man, in his natural element, and his worthless bureaucratic, apathetic, amoral government. Posted by: President Elect 🐧 at December 05, 2020 07:15 AM (C+evo) 161

Watched half of The Irishman last night, Martin Scorsese's mob/union epic with Robert DeNiro. Got to say it held my interest. I'm trying to figure out the year a given scene is happening. In one scene, for instance The Three Faces of Eve shows on a theater marquee, so it has to be 1957 or later; in another, the Cuban Missile Crisis is going on right then, so October of 1962; etc. But often I have to guess based on the cars and the styles of men's clothing and hair as well as clues provided by events.
Ray Romano as a mob-connected lawyer; Harvey Keitel and Joe Pesci; even Anna Paquin in one scene (so far) as DeNiro's adult daughter all are worth watching. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius at December 05, 2020 07:17 AM (rpbg1) 165

President-elect Joe Biden warned that if people dont take the coronavirus seriously, and instead travel for Christmas, 250,000 more people could die between now and January.
That quarter-million deaths they are fantasizing over are as real as votes for Biden. Let me save everyone some time and energy. They hate you. They want you dead. They fantasize about your misery and death. The speak glowingly of the ways they want to torture and kill you. They are obsessed with your pain and suffering, seeking even more devious ways to make it worse. They are Evil. They will receive God's Wrath. So everything they say to you is in that context and framework. There is no one coming to rescue you. They will kill you once you become a problem to them. They aren't afraid of violence and there are no inhibitions left within them. You will always lose to people who have no boundaries. I am completely convinced that God has pulled back His restraining hand. His mercy to date has been far, far more than we could imagine. Spend the remaining days of your life enjoying the things that we still have before they are taken away forever. Posted by: President Elect 🐧 at December 05, 2020 07:25 AM (C+evo) 179

I posted this before, but thought worth repeating. The Virus is one of several Big Lies being perpetrated. They have to be exposed.
There's reporting about how anyone who dies with a positive Covid test is treated as a Covid death, despite other causes. Hospitals get paid more for handling a Covid death. No other country does this. Obviously, this inflates Covid death totals, and means that reported Covid deaths won't come down. There's a Johns Hopkins study that Covid is accelerating the deaths of the very old and the very sick, but these reported deaths are mirrored by a decline in other causes of reported death. It's only a timing difference, you see, typically only of a few months. I'm not suggesting this is a good thing, but Covid isn't the Black Plague but we act like it is. And we've convinced people that getting Covid is a death sentence. I tripped over this. The Bronx has had 4,100 Covid deaths, but zero last month. Way back, I did rough math that with 200k deaths, each with a loss of 20 years of life, Covid would reduce our average life expectancy by 10 days. Turns out 20 years is way high, and the actual figure much less. This is madness, no? Posted by: Ignoramus at December 05, 2020 07:38 AM (9TdxA) 207

If it isn't obvious by now, hopefully it will soon be. The Left is incapable of communicating in structured language with grammar and definitions of words. They use a form of emotional triggering by stringing along a series of sounds that stimulate emotional responses with the intent to create an end-result of associations and feelings that lead one to a particular action. IOW, the Left doesn't care to inform, they skip all of that messy and risky part and go straight to outright emotional manipulation. Because they hate you and fully believe that you aren't capable of a single rational thought. (they are correct for most people). Yes, I thought I was getting a sinus infection. I never had a fever.
Interesting. No fever. Because so many place are using the contact-less thermometer prior to entry, I thought I would go pick one up and make fun of it. Yep, it too is worthless in terms of how they are using it. Over a period of weeks, several times a day, I would go measure temperature, and it is all over the place. If I go stand around in the cold, then walk in take a temperature, wait a minute or five then take it again, I can get several degree differences. In one case, the temperature wouldn't register because it thought I was dead. If I go do a very heavy 12-14 rounds of heavy bag where I stay in the "red" range at least eight of those rounds, then measure, it might be a half a degree higher, even though I am sweaty hot and need to stand in the freezer to cool down. What little use it does have is to establish a dope chart of where the temperatures usually cluster given the environment. If the temperature goes up uncharacteristically of the clustering, then break out the oral thermometer to get a real reading. What they are using in business entrances is just more theater. Next time you see Cloyd here - ask him about MI. He does a really good job breaking their data down. There is a pretty consistent 5% bump for Biden in numerous counties - not just Detroit.
Posted by: Endeavor To Persevere at December 05, 2020 07:40 AM (cxvn3) How about that... just pulled 5% out as a SWAG... I am from Michigan originally, Kent County specifically. Heard Kent went 'purple'. Very conservative area with a decent population. I suspect such areas they may have pulled extra to get even more Biden skim without changing the local win for Trump (which would be too obvious) but swing more for the state as a whole. never had a fever. When I couldn't taste my breakfast, I knew. I can't smell or taste anything. It is either warm or cold and that is it. Posted by: Quirky Bookworm at December 05, 2020 07:41 AM (EbJ6H) ...... Yes. I figured. So it's not really some mysterious loss of smell and taste, it's the effects of having cold like symptoms with a stopped up nose, which obviously accounts for the smell portion and scent actually accounts for 80% of what we taste. I think anytime you have a cold/flu with nasal congestion everything is going to taste dull and flat. Posted by: Bitter Clinger at December 05, 2020 07:45 AM --- Same thing happened to me in November 2019. Sinus infection and bronchitis is what my Doctor said I had. ..... You might enjoy watching a video from Dr. Mike Yeadon on YT. He's biochemist and toxicologist that takes a really rational look at it all. One of the things he says is contributing to death count is a "dry timber" theory in certain nations. Essentially the theory notes that in certain countries that had particularly mild flu seasons in the previous years, that the death toll is exaggerated this year because more people that are in deteriorated states of health survived a flu season that would ordinarily wipe them out. But in countries that had harsh flu seasons last year, the death tolls are lower during COVID. It's an interesting watch altogether and covers much more than just that. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=D1onx7LaNio Posted by: Bitter Clinger at December 05, 2020 07:53 AM (XVNQq) 240

Byron York nominates Paul Krugman as the dumbest hypocrite in America
On Monday evening, the Times' Paul Krugman posted a column declaring that when Joe Biden becomes president, "he will immediately be confronted with an unprecedented challenge." The challenge, Krugman said, is that Biden will be "the first modern U.S. president trying to govern in the face of an opposition that refuses to accept his legitimacy." Too be honest, if they served their sentence (too include parole and fines), their rights should be restored. If they are still deemed dangerous they should be in the big house.
If a sentence involves loss of rights beyond freedom to move about (jail / prison) then it should be explicitly part of the sentence. Posted by: Burnt Toast at December 05, 2020 07:40 AM (/Dgcm) Interesting perspective, as it matches my own. Many state have moved to restore the voting rights of convicted felons, as long as they have completed all terms of their sentence (some require much less, like Vermont, where in prison inmates can still vote). What's important here is the concept that citizens, regardless of their current conviction status, still deserve Constitutional protections of their inherent rights. And if your right to vote is protected, so is your right to self defense. Fight me. Posted by: GnuBreed at December 05, 2020 08:18 AM (veMj1) 283

When I was younger, I worked in a small market near the beach, a touristy thing. Each year, a family of Gypsies would come in the store, split up and make commotion to distract the underpaid workers. Some would be able to successfully shoplift, but the main goal was to empty the bills from the register. This is the 2020 election. So, sayeth my BIL. I have a feeling that the contactless temperature thing had its origins in a high elementary school science project.
Little Suzy noticed that when it was announced that Suzy didn't feel good enough to go to school, mom used the highly scientific method of testing for a fever by feeling Suzy's forehead. The next week, dad's contactless BBQ meat thermometer ended up at school on a folding table and a cardboard mural explaining how to quickly test for flu. The rest is history. Posted by: President Elect at December 05, 2020 08:24 AM --- That is exactly how this social distancing nonsense started. A High school paper by some kid a few years ago in England IIRC. From Surber's post today:
I would bet you that hardly anyone in the country knows this... that unemployment is down 8 points since April and now sits at 6.7%. Because the media does not report it. But as soon as Biden-Harris are in office, they are going to report the 1-year difference in Unemployment of April 2021 compared to April 2020 and give all credit to Biden-Harris. ITEM 2: Unemployment fell to 6.7% in November -- down a record 8.0 points since April as President Trump's economic policies save the nation from the RINOs and Democrats who shut down the nation in an overblown pandemic. President Trump should call off the national health emergency. Congress should investigate Johns Hopkins and the CDC for gaming the statistics to inflate the numbers. By the way, it took Obama 5 years to bring unemployment down from 7.9% to 6.7%. Communists are bad for the economy. Posted by: Clyde Shelton at December 05, 2020 08:32 AM (Do5/p) 311
Re: courts, since there's a lot of practicing law w/o a license going on.
First, how long should Alito given PA to respond. Couple of hours? What would their response be? Do you even know what the parameters of PA's response are? I doubt they get to do what we in CA state court call a "general denial". So if you have hundreds of paragraphs of detailed allegations, it's going to take days, not hours, to draft a proper response. As for leftist judges ruling "bupkis!", do you really want them to have detailed, evidentiary hearings, probably over several days? So let's say a leftist judge has a come-to-Jesus moment and stops the steal. What a victory that is that gets put on hold pending appellate review. Oh, look at that, it's January 19. Yeah buddy! Shell CEO hopeful Biden will speed up climate change fight
"I'm quite hopeful that with the new administration coming in, there will be change of sentiment and hopefully a change of direction," Ben van Beurden said in the Web Summit conference. Without increased cooperation "I don't think we are going to succeed in the energy transition." "Many of the changes that need to happen can only be made and mandated by governments" such as carbon pricing, he said. He does nothing to explan how--under federal law--electors are chosen on the 8th. So yes: Any decision by Alito WILL be moot. Because the only way the states don't is if there is a court-ordered stay. You see, the date set by law, this year, the 8th, is the reason Gore conceded. If the states don't submit their slate that day, the legislature is not bound by the popular vote. Yes. And there's a lot of state law on the books about that state's process. Gov and election officials can't change that process. And SCOTUS can step in if process isn't being applied even handedly, even if the effect of a SCOTUS ruling is to pick the President (Gore v Bush). Which means this isn't over yet. One of those things everyone knew, but never really thought about. We knew beyond any doubt in 2007 that the FBI and the DOJ was nothing but a group of useless turds.
Why do I say that? The truthful story of Jeffrey Epstein, and Pedo Island was well known to everyone paying attention. The feds knew of dozens of underage girls Epstein had raped, and had working as prostitutes. The feds had the passenger lists for The Lolita Express, but did nothing except force the FL state prosecutors to let him off, with the most generous plea deal imaginable. They didn't go after anyone on that passenger list, and haven't to this day. They did, however, go after Richard Jewel, and Steven Hatfill, because they could be painted as "white supremacists". There is enough, to wish that federal law enforcement all DIAF, it's what they richly deserve. Posted by: An Observation sez China Joe not my president at December 05, 2020 08:51 AM (hnCza) 357

the video of Jen Psaki snickering and all-but-calling Joe Biden senile is going to end her bid to be press secretary, I gotta believe.
Biden is just the front. He'll be out of the way soon enough and the place is being built for his odious VP and her puppeteers. Posted by: Shep! at December 05, 2020 09:07 AM (7DzWP) 395

It's been a not too well kept secret that the SDNY has numerous indictments teed up waiting for Trump to lose the cloak of protection the Presidency afforded him. Once that's gone, they will pounce. I fully expect federal agents, at 12:01 pm, to be waiting for Trump wherever he may be to arrest him. So there's that. Posted by: Thomas Bender at December 05, 2020 09:10 AM (ztzef) 398
NO Federal Agents would DARE to go for Trump, after robbery of Presidency,That would be like issuing tags for Bambi's in Wisconsin, no limit and its all put and take.HAHAHHAHHAHAHHAAHHAAHHA

They won't go after Trump. But others around him ...
Posted by: Ignoramus I wish I could believe that, but they have been doing nothing but going after Trump for five years. What would stop them from continuing to pursue him once he doesn't have the office of the presidency to (at least minimally) protect him? Posted by: squeakywheel at December 05, 2020 09:24 AM (/Pc8P) 402
They don't have anything on Trump, after years of trying. They can file a complaint but it will go nowhere. Tax charges are an obvious joke.
Let them try. It will only make Trump stronger Posted by: Ignoramus at December 05, 2020 09:36 AM (9TdxA) 403
210 Amy Barret could be the deciding vote in an important gun rights case that seeks to allow non-violent felons to buy and own guns.
https://tinyurl.com/y45l3968 Posted by: Vic at December 05, 2020 06:05 AM (mpXpK) Too be honest, if they served their sentence (too include parole and fines), their rights should be restored. If they are still deemed dangerous they should be in the big house. If a sentence involves loss of rights beyond freedom to move about (jail / prison) then it should be explicitly part of the sentence. Arresting Trump is Fort Sumpter. The spark that gets conservatives off their football couches and to the streets

Someone needs to explain something to me. I keep reading here about some cunt in the SDNY plans on arresting DJT as soon as he leaves office. How can someone who ultimately reports to Barr, who reports to DJT, be allowed to do this as part of her gainful employment? Or am I not understanding the DOJ organization chart? Or something?
