Have you talked with your mother about getting out of CA now that it's obvious the vast majority of voters support Newsome's shut down, and there's zero reason to stay there since she can visit with her friends on Zoom calls from much nicer places? Reno is booming, but real estate is sellling so fast that desirable locations are actually going to become very very expensive within a year. The rest of the land is really far from decent health care or flood zone. Carson City is still reasonable and has a good hospital, but it's going to go the same way pretty soon. Honestly, not to be a jerk, but you need to get property listed for sale and get out of there before the CA real estate crash hits.

I took it as Biden (when he was in the subordinate, VP position) said that to Obama (when he was in the superior, Pres position)--and history shows that he did not resign, and so the story illustrates how wonderfully they jibed. You two seem to be forgetting that Obama cheated in 2012, and still got fewer votes than in 2008 IIRC.

Man, I just got the girl's birthday present put together, and it is SICK. This stuff is much cooler than when I was a kid, at least for what middle class people can afford.
I'm used to artist's easels that were a couple pieces of softwood claptrap boards with some hooks and shit, and a couple hinges.
This thing is a full-featured easel, made out of hardwood, that can accommodate a canvas up to 24" high. It can be locked in a drafting configuration, too, and when you collapse it completely it's the size of a large briefcase. It has one large and two small drawers that came packed with oil, acrylic, gouache and watercolor paints, a set of acrylic gel pens, a mixing palette, a set of ten brushes, a palette knife, and a color wheel.
It also came with a separate box that was packed with several sizes and types of canvases, painting paper, and sketchpads.
I got it all set, and thought "fuck, I want this."

I'm used to artist's easels that were a couple pieces of softwood claptrap boards with some hooks and shit, and a couple hinges.
This thing is a full-featured easel, made out of hardwood, that can
accommodate a canvas up to 24" high. It can be locked in a drafting
configuration, too, and when you collapse it completely it's the size of
a large briefcase. It has one large and two small drawers that came
packed with oil, acrylic, gouache and watercolor paints, a set of
acrylic gel pens, a mixing palette, a set of ten brushes, a palette
knife, and a color wheel.
It also came with a separate box that was packed with several sizes and types of canvases, painting paper, and sketchpads.
I got it all set, and thought "fuck, I want this."

Catholics were actually forbidden, on pain of excommunication, from joining the Freemasons by a Papal decree in 1738. in 1983, Pope John Paul II reiterated that Catholics could not join the Masons but dropped excommunication as a punishment for doing so. Newt doesn't seem like much of a Catholic though so I do not know how that would impact his willingness to join.

The problem is that it is easy to claim that he "misspoke". Maybe ran words together, or skipped words, or meant to say.....
But how the hell does a politician tell voters that he does not need them. This is like politics 101 that you always tell the people you are talking to that you NEED their vote. There is no benign interpretation to this one.
To the voter fraud, people can claim he meant to say "outreach" or "fraud prevention," or whatever.
But telling voters "I don't need you to win" can not be explained. (to me.)

The problem is that it is easy to claim that he "misspoke". Maybe ran words together, or skipped words, or meant to say.....
But how the hell does a politician tell voters that he does not need them. This is like politics 101 that you always tell the people you are talking to that you NEED their vote. There is no benign interpretation to this one.
To the voter fraud, people can claim he meant to say "outreach" or "fraud prevention," or whatever.
But telling voters "I don't need you to win" can not be explained. (to me.)

Seriously though, there were some shitty candies around in those days. The hard candy that, if you didn't get the one that was sorta raspberry flavored, with the little bumps on it, you got one that had the ribbon colors, was hollow inside, and would cut your tongue if you sucked on it too long.

Honestly, this is one of the attacks I want to see SCOTUS make on election cheatery. I really really want them to declare ALL mail-in ballots null and void on equal protection grounds and on the grounds that the Constitution makes allowance for a singular election day NOT an election season.

I bought from them recently and it was painless. They seem to be small time enough that you can find stuff if you check in.
