Shock: Hypothetical Commander-in-Thief Biden Would Keep Deep State Democrat Operator Christopher Wray as FBI Head, Should He Successfully Steal the Election
The guy who parrots Biden's pro-antifa propaganda that antifa is "just an idea" and therefore can't be the subject of a law enforcement investigation is going to be kept on by Commander in Thief Biden, should he succeed in Stealing America.
But President Trump, who has had a contentious relationship with Wray throughout his tenure at the FBI, could still fire him at any point before he leaves office on Jan. 20. Two senior White House officials told Fox News in October that Trump was considering removing Wray from his post should he win reelection. "Advisers have consistently told POTUS to wait until after the election if he wants to replace Wray," one official told Fox News in October.

Reading the history of the Spanish Civil War - you don't need all, or even most, of the military leadership on board. You do need some people that command the loyalty of the actual guys with guns though.
If you see any units suddenly pulled back to the US you'll know something is up. Also any meetings of officers from the bases around DC though I imagine if you hear about it Trump is doomed...

Huh? Vitamin D, vitamin C and zinc supplementation should be fine if your wife is nursing a baby. Look at the label of prenatal vitamins and I'd guess most of them have those components. There's lots of calcuim supplements that contain some magnesium, zinc, and vitamin D, which would also pose no danger to a baby.

Sovereignty/borders/immigration: catastrophe. Not aware of any important success that can't be vaporized at the stroke of a pen - and note that the utterly ridiculously lawless judiciary won't even think about hampering a new administration's exercise of what is in reality mostly plenary power, delegated in legislation by Congress over the last 100 years. I don't see $ being spent to tear down any new barriers, but body-English and policy rule, and BP will probably be right back where they were in 2016. Bilaterals with Mexico, Central American states likely gone, or simply ignored. Caravans, complete collapse of effort to stop fake "asylum" disaster.
Foreign policy: disaster in every direction. Most consequentially of course with Iran, and China.

I think the goal varies by Dem/GOPer. Most want something like what Europe has - unaccountable elites that get rich doing whatever the hell they want with the appearance of representative government.
Others want the Soviet Union under Khrushchev and a few under Stalin.

I keep saying, part of the reason that they hate Trump is that he managed to figure out how to create an identity movement. The left has long done this: being progressive is an identity first, and then you adopt whatever politics are in vogue on that side. Trump managed to make MAGA and America First the same thing for conservatives, working class whites and hispanics, and others. People were unashamed of it, and in fact came to enjoy the rituals associated with it: the rallies, the guerilla-style campaign tactics, the tweaking leftist sensibilities.
In many ways, this is a natural extension of the Tea Party. But whereas the Tea Party was focus on fiscal issues, Trump expanded it to include a lot more cultural and political issues.

Reading very deep into sketchy information, it appears that a lawyer was trying to get a client or two pardoned and got paid for it. The question seems to actually be whether the lawyer's activities constituted lobbying because it was more than a minimal amount of his or her income and so he or she should have been registered as a lobbyist. No indication that anyone at WH was bribed.

1) no political connections to DC or national politics

Building on your comment, Harry, the problem was that the Trump people did not have a list of appointees ready to go on Day 1. There are 3000+ political appointees in the USG. You know Hillary had 2000 of those jobs already filled with her people (or agreed to keep Obama holdovers) and the other 1000 she would have left open so her people could have some of their people in key roles. Trump walked into office with maybe 20. That was a huge mistake. 2 years into the administration they were still debating whether some of those jobs should even exist. Yup, they should be eliminated, but until they are, put your own people in them to play defense against the swamp.

Go back to read "conspiracy" news from 2017 about how the personnel office was shredding Trump supporters' resumes and only hiring Bushites or Clintonites, and look at Mitch McConnell keeping the Senate in session for the last 4 years so Trump couldn't make recess appointments. Federal workers are unionized. I never realized until recently how awful the rot is there. My inlaws are swamp denizens, mother in law career state department, and they hate Mike Pompeo because he expects them to actually work and to actually support the Trump agenda. They are pious Catholics, supposedly staunch Republicans, but voted for Biden because Trump and Pompeo just don't understand how the government works.
Tens of thousands of people need to be fired, and could probably be replaced by a thousand decent people. But it's impossible to clear out tens of thousands of government employees.

I've been thinking about this. I know it is set in stone constitutionally what day the electors vote to certify the election, but these are extraordinary times. What's the actual penalty for the EC not voting that day and waiting a week, two weeks? Trump getting fired? I don't see how the penalties are worse than the theft of the country.

And I think you spectacularly under-estimate what the Biden team (he, of course, is literally irrelevant) can and will do. First of all, a "plan" can start as follows:
* which EOs did Trump issue? Which major policy directives from the WH went out to the agencies we care about?
* Cancel all of them.
That appears to be the plan, so far. And I think these people have learned a bit from the bumbling, feckless Obama machine, which of course still caused enormous damage. Recall the very first EO? Closing Gitmo? With that unctous POS Greg Craig (who was unfailingly polite in personal interactions, of course) grinning over Obama's shoulder? Yeah, that was idiotic incompetence.
I am positive that we won't be seeing any of that.
And a Carter Administration specter, while horrifying to any serious common sense citizen, does not carry with it any likelihood of political repercussions, as happened then. Completely different electorate. Almost a completely different country.

I don't know how you prevent fraud when the FBI has no interest in investigating any of it and the people you have in place to watch for it let it go. Trump fired the head of Cyber Security a day or two after election day. The guy was immediately on every news pundit show defending himself. It's easy to sit back and say he needed to have people in place, who in the hell do you hire for this when 90% of the people in government contracting are unreliable ideologs?

I think POTUS knew he couldn't trust Wray and quite likely not Barr either, which is probably why election stuff was sent to DHS. Hopefully Kelly and Njielson or however the hell you spelled her name didn't fill that up with moles. I honestly wish Jeff Sessions had been willing to take DHS, because he probably would have been great. He simply didn't have the intestinal fortitude to take on DOJ.

Trump then moves the meeting to the Oval Office--leaving Ratcliffe and the documents in the SCIF. Unbeknownst to Barr and Durham, DNI Ratcliffe and Cohen-Watnick bring in a large team to review, unredact, and declassify the whole kaboodle.
