Iran's Top Nuclear Scientist Killed in Shootout

An Iranian scientist named by the West as the leader of the Islamic Republic’s disbanded military nuclear program was killed Friday in an ambush on the outskirts of Tehran, authorities said. Iran's foreign minister alleged the killing of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh bore "serious indications" of an Israeli role, but did not elaborate. Israel, long suspected of killing several Iranian nuclear scientists a decade ago, declined to immediately comment. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once told the public to "remember that name" when talking about Fakhrizadeh.John Brennan, who was once tasked with pretending to want to stop Iran from getting the bomb (before he partnered up with Obama to make sure Iran got the bomb), cried about it. I think it's SethLevy (or maybe ElectionWizard, as those are the 2 I follow that are really up on the election lawsuits) who was saying how they think just the opposite, that Barr and Durham address working on something having to do with the election, and that's why Trump hasn't mentioned either of them in weeks, to contrast he said look how Trump treated Sessions, he throttled the guy for not getting shit done, but Barr he hasn't.
I hope he's right and in the next week Barr unloads on all the people involved in criminal shit against Trump, though the last time I hoped that way we ended up with nothing.

I guess it depends in what each law suit entails. The PA one seems to be based on how the election board has no standing to create its own rules against what the legislature ruled. So if MI, GA or WI suits have to do with that then this one case would allow thier legislator to appoint Trump electors.
GA's case looks like it's about actual fraudulent votes, and it's about throwing those votes out and not overturning everything, so I'd guess it has to go to the SCOTUS, but honestly GA already had dealt with this, so as long as they can prove there votes come from fake addresses I don't see why it'd have to go to the Supremes, as the law was settled. Biden would have to bring it, but if Trump wins in PA would Biden want to go to court just to get another loss?

I guess it depends in what each law suit entails. The PA one seems
to be based on how the election board has no standing to create its own
rules against what the legislature ruled. So if MI, GA or WI suits have
to do with that then this one case would allow thier legislator to

GA's case looks like it's about actual fraudulent votes, and it's
about throwing those votes out and not overturning everything, so I'd
guess it has to go to the SCOTUS, but honestly GA already had dealt with

Not quite. There are various forms of fraud in all those states and ALOT of overlap in issues. For instance, In PA, GA, VA and several other states, there were non legislative rule changes that, when thrown out, will likely change the claimed outcomes of the election in those states.
Whatever the claims, the common thread is lack of due process and deprivation of a republican form of government for citizens... both of which claims could see mail-in voting as constituted ruled unconstitutional. I would expect all suits to eventually be merged at SCOTUS (though they could decide them separately).

All the 3rd Circuit panel said was that the Trump team's argument that these type of shenanigans (ie that fraud) violated the equal protection clause and needed some federal cure, that there was no state resolution for it, was rejected...it is all they are actually allowed to determine here. They did not say that Trump had no case of fraud anywhere. They were essentially mute on the issue other than to state that if such fraud occurs Trump has state resolutions for it and that's the end of the story.

I think that AtC is right here that this issue is going to the SCOTUS over the issue that extensive fraud in several states violates the equal protection clause and no cure been suggested by these States unless directed federally to cure - the various Fed Circuits will be reluctant to take that on - hence the 3rd Circuits rejection of that today - but SCOTUS has already not shown any reluctance to take this issue head on as evidence by Alito's opinion several weeks ago. Look to see these various suits ripen under this Constitutional issue by Monday Dec 7th and then, who knows...I think the SCOTUS might decide 5-4 that these fraud issues do indeed violate the Equal Protection Clause but send it back to the States for cure...do they suggest a cure? Maybe...maybe not. We shall see.

It does look like Team DJT put a good amount of huffing and puffing in their brief about fraudlike activity etc, but that wasn't the legal theory and they didn't put any evidence in to support the huffing and puffing.
So, the federal appeals court more or less said...not up to us, up to PA. Then commented unnecessarily, though Team DJT did invite it, on the fraud stuff.
At this point, if SCOTUS takes this case it will be based on whether PA's comfort with different counties treating mail in ballots differently is the final answer, or if it's a constitutional question.

On October 19, 2020 the SC deadlocked 4-4 on a case brought by the PA Republican Party. They claimed that the PA SC acted illegally by changing election laws which can legally only been done by the state legislature.
Roberts vote with the liberals and said they could always look at the case after the election if necessary which pissed off the conservatives. . ACB is now on the court so one way or another we are likely to see a 5-4 decision on this.

violation of equal protection argument: voters in county X were allowed
to cure defective mail in ballots, voters in county Y were not. Team DJT
argued that's unconstitutional. Team DJT did produce facts to show that
occurred. Federal appeals court simply said "Big deal. If PA's OK with
it, so are we, because it's all about state law."
It does look like Team DJT put a good amount of huffing and puffing
in their brief about fraudlike activity etc, but that wasn't the legal
theory and they didn't put any evidence in to support the huffing and
puffing.
So, the federal appeals court more or less said...not up to us, up
to PA. Then commented unnecessarily, though Team DJT did invite it, on
the fraud stuff.
At this point, if SCOTUS takes this case it will be based on whether
PA's comfort with different counties treating mail in ballots
differently is the final answer, or if it's a constitutional question.

The courts are wrong. PA law already bars counties from curing votes as Democrat counties did. The PA legislature is obviously not fine with different counties treating the law differently.

Not quite. There are various forms of fraud in all those states and ALOT of overlap in issues. For instance, In PA, GA, VA and several other states, there were non legislative rule changes that, when thrown out, will likely change the claimed outcomes of the election in those states.
Whatever the claims, the common thread is lack of due process and deprivation of a republican form of government for citizens...

Each state has its own set of circumstances, but you're right - some do overlap.
The choice of remedy is what gets more complicated because of what happened in each state, right?

They can make such a ruling it is just a matter of if they will. They could, for instance, throw out certification of votes in all of those states and require state legislatures to choose electors. They could take several other paths too but they can, if they choose, imposes a common remedy to the various forms of fraud.
