Thanksgiving Salute to the Old Breed [KT]

sansimm.jpg

Photo taken by someone defying travel avoidance guidelines
on the Central California Coast

The Long Read of the Week at American Digest is A Thanksgiving Toast To The Old Breed by Victor Davis Hanson. It is outstanding.

The late World War II combat veteran and memoirist E. B. Sledge enshrined his generation of fellow Marines as "The Old Breed" in his gripping account of the hellish battle of Okinawa. Now, most of those who fought in World War II are either dead or in their nineties.

Much has been written about the disappearance of these members of the Greatest Generation--there are now over 1,000 veterans passing away per day. Of the 16 million who at one time served in the American military during World War II, only about a half-million are still alive.

You can still hear some people from that generation talk about their lives on one of the best programs on radio, Hometown Heroes. Some of those vets sound just so remarkably competent, even in their nineties. If you have never heard an episode, you can catch one at the link. There is also a remarkable amount of history revealed in those programs.

Another beach photo:

treessansim.jpg

Van der Leun picked up the VDH essay at Never Yet Melted. If you are in a philosophical mood today, there is a lot of interesting stuff over there. Ever thought about promoting AOC as Speaker to kill the Democratic Party? Did you know there was a propeller-powered car a hundred years ago? How about Scrooge as Environmentalist?

8 Scrooge as environmentalist - if you really want to get under an enviro's skin, point out that the first nation in the world that dedicated itself to Environmental Protection and "green" energy policies was Nazi Germany. In the 30's, they set the template for all of the heavy handed enviro policies that followed. (they had a thing about Pristine Woodlands that should not be dirtied by those filthy people living in them)

23 KT, great, as always.

But dammit, you outed one of my favorite places. Cayucos.

That's *very* low tide in that photo. The pier is not very high up over the water most of the time.

Right there is the location of my otter story (stop the snickering). The true one, about the otter mom and her pup, when she was diving down to the pilings to get dinner, and he was whining every time she did so. Then she'd come up, lie on her back, and crack the shell of the crustacean and feed him.

Cayucos is just north of Morro Bay, which is a nice very long beach walk from there. CA's central coast remains magical and quiet, and not much changed over the years, compared to most places.

31 I've been to Cali a few times. My wife and I went in '94, IIRC. Her company convention was in SF. Even back then, you had walk through a literal gauntlet of beggars to get anywhere. They were/are complete pricks. I was still stunned at what a visual treat that city was. We rented a car and drove north up CA 1. We stopped in Mendocino, and really fell in love with that town. turned inland at Eureka, and I was, once again blown away by how remote N. CA is. We backpacked a section of the Pacific Crest Trail, and again, blown away by the classic Alpine scenery. Too bad it's permanently infected w/Socialism.

Only the youngest one of them is alive, my aunt is 98, became a nurse then. Patriotism was much deeper then it seems ... as were ties to family.

Being a WW2 vet did not immunize them all from becoming Democrats ... but since Trump and Reagan had been Democrat at one point, I can't really blame them for not seeing through the facade. GOPe also gave them plenty of reason to not be Republican ... and Mockingbird Media keeps everyone confused and distracted.

54 Don't think Sledge was at Iwo.

And should know, but don't, whether Okinawa amphibious operation was larger than D-Day, but I don't think so (in terms of landed personnel). Big, though, and unopposed landings.

Saipan was within a few days of D-Day, literally on the other side of the world, and was not just a massive operation, but obviously conducted thousands of miles from friendly territory - not just 20+ miles, across the Channel. Making that juxtaposition a handy, and awesome, illustration of the logistical and operational power of the US (primarily) in the last year of WWII.

From his diary this day in 1944:

Nov 28. 1944
Another cloudy, wet day. Visibility would clear for a few minutes, then close down again. Observers were unable to adjust on many targets.
3 Div took over Strassbourg from II DB who then started south on all available road nets from the Rhine west. 103 pushed nearly to the valley. They met CCA of the 14th Armd Div at Barr. 36th Div took Liepvre and continued east with small gains.
XV Corps and 1st Fr Army met stiff resistance in their sectors and did not move much. The Germans shelled Belfort quite heavily.
Bombers and fighters over Germany shot down 94 planes in their raids today. So far we have had little air activity in this sector.
I took several snaps of the Cathedral here in Mutzig. Also took pictures of two little French boys. Names: Maurice Holbeck and Gundar Seibach.

Tonight at "friends' Thanksgiving" we'll be drinking the last of some
fine pinot I came into thanks to my late USMC WWII vet friend who was on
the list of the very exclusive winery.

Have spoken of him here before. Enlisted in November 1941 - "timing
is everything" - and was getting basic rifle training at Camp Matthews
(now UC San Diego and a hospital complex, mostly) on December 7. He was
a classic of the generation, really lived the life, during and after
the war.

84 I've always considered Santa Barbara the border of the southern CA, just not sure which side it's on. But everything north, to whatever the furthest southern exurb of the Bay Area is now, is central coast.

Hard to define abstractly, easy to define in real life, by being there. The feel changes quite noticeably. Santa Barbara was glorious before it became too wealthy and popular with the uninteresting/toxic "elites" of this era. Pretty sleepy. I think this was last true in the early to mid 80s.

90 "If you haven't read "With the Old Breed" by EB Sledge, please do. He
fought on Pelelieu, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa. He tells how John Basilone
gets killed on Iwo. He relates the horrors of the Pacific war quite
well, and in detail."

Sledge's book is a classic. Having read it, it amazes me that anyone who took part in Pacific combat came home sane.

Two other equally good book on the subject Pacific combat are William Manchester's "Goodbye Darkness", which describes his combat experience on Okinawa; and James Jones' "WWII", which describes his experience on Guadalacanal. The latter book is especially good because it was the catalogue for an exhibition of combat art from both theaters, and Jones's discussion of the artists and their work is enlightening.

Manchester's book is still in print. A version of Jones's is in print, but without the art images or commentary. Copies of the original edition of "WWII", from the mid-1970s, are available on alibris.com.

I have an uncle who died earlier this year. He was in the shit, on a battleship in the Pacific. Not sure when he enlisted, but probably fairly early in the war.

He's the reason my dad never saw combat. My dad was one of those guys who enlisted in '44, before he was really old enough, and he spent his time in the Atlantic. His older brother was one of those guys who would talk your ear off about everything else, but never once that I recall talked about his military service. I don't even think my dad really knew.

Only real clue we had was a framed award type certificate that had been at my grandmother's home when she died. This thing just basically spelled out that my uncle was on THIS ship, deployed at THIS time in the Pacific.

That was over 40 years ago though, so when I saw the plaque, its significance was mostly lost on a young whippersnapper like me. No idea where it is now.

Weeks ago, at_Facebook censored a post of mine which truthfully stated that at_JoeBiden is NOT the President-elect.

So I got lawyers involved.

Conclusion?

at_PolitiFact uncensored the post & admitted that they LIED by rating my post false.

The fact-checkers are lying for Democrats.

At 8 Months pregnant, I unfortunately cannot fight on the ground alongside patriots like I am used to, but I am taking every measure to fight these communists in the court room. It is my goal to expose these lying "fact-checkers" one by one.

I've done 4 or 5 interviews with WWII vets for this, it's a great way to memorialize the experiences of the millions involved - obviously many passed before it started, but I think they'll end up with a very large database of personal histories.

154 There's a channel on Youtube, guy calls himself "Geography King," but he's a real down to Earth, soft spoken guy named Kyle.

He gives lots of facts and shows some good pictures of the subject areas he's covering.

One of his recent videos compares home prices in a handful of cities, like Atlanta, Columbus, Ohio, Sacramento, and Long Island. A few other cities, I can't remember exactly where.

The striking fact, aside from how high some of these house prices are in various place, is property taxes. Apparently in Californica, the property taxes aren't based on any kind of logical system, and there are lots of old time homeowners whose property taxes are dirt cheap. Newer homes/owners, not so much.

Maybe at least a brief overview from KT one of these weekends would be interesting. Not a whole post, I think there's only so much that can be said about property taxes before everyone revolts.

Our biggest problem remains that a whole lot of the GOP office holders want Trump gone just as much as the Dems do.

In my case, my home is valued at $1.5 million. I pay now about $3800 per year property tax. I have no mortgage. We are looking to relocate, this would allow us to keep our tax basis.

What strikes me though is, Cali voters were vote down the attempts to change tax laws, but here in Colorado, every ballot measure that has the word "tax" in it passes easily.

So... maybe that's Cali having been doing this a lot longer, and the nitwits in this state are just getting warmed up.

202 I have never felt as hopefully optimistic as I did
last night when I read the PA Judge's ruling on Sean Parnell's lawsuit,
as to the unconstitutional ballot counting, and then learning thousands
of WI ballots are headed for litigation. What does upset me is that GA
should have been a win for PDT, but based on the complete lack of action
there, the Republicans will provide Biden their 16 EC votes to pull him
over the 270 threshold.

Posted by: EveR at November 28, 2020 12:29 PM (DsGxB)

It is NOT over in GA either. Keep calling Kemp and your legislators DEMANDING hearings on the fraud and DEMANDING a special session to address both the fraud and the legislature directly choosing electors.
Kemp is screwing up big time and it is not going to save him. If he won't do the right thing, the legislature must.

As much as people hate on Google, and they should, Youtube still manages to be THE single most remarkable repository of solid, clear, useful and interesting information in video form.

So many great channels, with uploaded content from the past, or people lending their expertise to subjects that go way beyond pop culture and/or current events.

Which means it'll probably be destroyed by the left soon, but for now, it's worth using their tool while it lasts.

215 174 Given Bannon's previous analysis, the only thing that should get him
down at this point is if there's reason to believe the PA (and/or other)
GOP majority state legislatures will flake. That'd be game over, I
think, if the GOP state legislatures ratify the current elector slate.
If Bannon has inside info that GOP state legislators will fold, that'd
be a big downer.

Posted by: occam's brassiere at November 28, 2020 12:09 PM (evxBY)

Is razorfist said last week, it is up to US to make sure they do not flake. Pennsylvanians did a fine job of that this week. Now we need to continue to let legislators in the other states know that they have FAR more to fear from us than they do the Antifa. They need to know that dereliction of duty WILL cause revolution.
Posted by: redbanzai the Southerner at November 28, 2020 12:20 PM (946rW)

----------------

Bannon is correct, and emphasizes that just one state legislature has to have the courage to step up, call the massive evidence and expert analysis presented by the Trump team and Rudy about the massive fraud and the hundreds of citizens who swore under penalty of perjury the corruption they saw. And Rudy has proven there are way more faulty ballots than the margin of ChinaJoe victory.

If just ONE legislature can find the "Profile In Courage" that Bannon talks about, the rest of them will become stronger and more willing to follow suit.

Come on, PA, step up and do what is right!

The victory is in the state legislature for PA, probably GA, and MI. WI can still be won by eliminating enough illegal ballots (30k?) to win the vote.
And maybe NV and AZ legislatures will also step up.
I just can't believe there are that many stupid Republicans in those legislatures to think anyone would still support them in the future if they cower now.

Rudy presented "the receipts" in the PA court last week. Now, we need the PA Repubs to step up and do what is the right thing, the Courageous thing, if you believe in the Rule of Law.

237 Prop 13 was an answer to having people driven out of their homes by rising tax assessments.

If you want grandma to have to exit the home the kids grew up in get rid of prop 13.

The high price of a new home has an assessed property value according to the limited housing availability (read intentional limit of supply).
The home purchased a long time ago assessment increases very slowly if at all.

If California had reasonable building and tax laws prop 13 would not have been needed.

I loaded all the placenames he references into Google Earth and "flying" from place to place is quite an itinerary.

I can't even watch a minute of any MSM news, it is just a lie being thrown in our faces. I get my news from here of course, about a dozen various alternative media websites, NewsMax, and that's about it.

269 redbanzai, I live in FL, but I hope ppl in GA do as
you say. However, Kemp is a lost cause. The GOPe there appear to be a
lost cause. The only possible relief would be the Courts and they don't
seem to be moving at anything but a snail's pace. Perhaps the AG will
become the new hero and sue Kemp and the SoS, but Kemp jumped
immediately to certify the vote for a reason. There was even a State
Senator on twitter upset w PDT bc his refusal to concede was impacting
the Senator's GOTV effort for Perdue and Loeffler. I don't know the
answer, but I wish there was a path to those 7 needed EC that was not
GA. Perhaps those 14k of non-citizen votes in AZ will get it tossed?

Posted by: EveR at November 28, 2020 12:46 PM (DsGxB)

There are several paths that would negate the need for GA electoral votes and we are in good shape either way. That GA state senator is high or stupid if he thinks Trump conceding would do anything but ensure Republican losses in January. Trump is not the problem. Them allowing blatant cheating is. There are three law suits there right now though so the courts will likely step in.

In any case, much of the common sense of the Old Breed, and Sledge's generation, seems to have evaporated, along with other things.

Yeah, I read the book. Followed every twist and turn in the language, tried to get in the heads of the people who wrote the damn things, understand their intentions.

It was easy in the end to see what they were up to, and to see how it was going to fool enough voters that they'd all pass. And they did.

Very, very small handful of those, which if i remember right get lumped in with the original production, which is under 100 of the Vs and less than 50 explorers. Some sources tell me there might be actually less than 25 explorers. The really, really rare explorer was the split headstock explorer, which were the first ones. The Hick v. Cori race was my bellweather. I expected Cori to lose, but they didn't even let it appear to be close. Nobody now is going to give up a cushy seat in the state legislature, or running one of these towns outside the cities, to challenge for a statewide race as a Republican. It's political suicide.

308 I'd love a new MD writeup on COVID-19 if Muldoon feels ambitious. Locally the FMN were all "OMG, the morgue is full" a couple nights ago. I'd love to know the facts of why that is. People are not dying in excessive #s so I suspect its something like limited # of coroners, vacay season, and can't get COVID bucks w/o autopsy, whereas Colorado does not normally require autopsy for deaths in hospital so the state doesn't have a huge pool of coroners; but I don't know how to investigate this.

p.s. I know the FNM are 99% BS, but dad likes to watch the local news and I hear a lot of it while I'm working or hanging out with the horde on the computer in another room.

It is hard as hell to get a famous rock star to pay market rates for most shit.

At the rate he is /was paying, he could have bought that amp 2-3 times.

329 Can you imagine how bad the VA hospitals will get, again, if biden takes over?
Posted by: Soothsayer's Untrue But Accurate Tales at November 28, 2020 01:04 PM (b16/K)

Funny how the horror stories from the VA absolutely vanished in 2017? No doubt that'll be on the short list of new "revenue" the Harris admin will find.
Posted by: clutch cargo at November 28, 2020 01:08 PM (8B6Ng)

I would guess, and it's only a guess, if the Dems manage to keep and expand their power, the VA as it currently exists will be gone. The whole structure of the system will be required to expand, to make room for illegals and the detritus on city streets...

There was an article I saw earlier this year, the VA facility in the LA area, there was a large amount of vacant property attached to the facility, and some locals decided it would be a great idea to build some homeless houses or tents or whatever, right there on the VA grounds.

I don't know how they got away with it, but apparently they were going full steam ahead.

Once the system is no longer for Veterans, it becomes the defacto national healthcare system, and in some ways it surprises me that the VA has lasted this long, providing services to this ONE sector of the population, without the left insisting there's nothing special about Veterans that entitles them to this federal system of care, when nobody else has it.

Yup, thats right, he has them.
I have the V and explorer pair from the Gibson historic collection. They are amazing. I played probably just under a dozen of the original V's, and I have to say gibson nailed the historic ones pretty damn good. I stuck PAFs in mine as a test, and its right in the ball park. When I was at gibson one day they opened the safe and let me play their original V that they bought JUST so they had a real one as a model. It was a black guard V. It was nice. I think they paid 50K for it when they got it. Thats may favorite V. I love korina guitars.

334 >>Maybe he just doesn't want to get rolled....

I am not speculating here.

He wants it back.

He just won't pay the going rate to buy it because it was his and he feels like he deserves to have it back.

So, he pays to rent a similar one...rather than get his old one back.

Honestly, wouldn't cost the guy a penny if he did it right.

But - he's Santana and he believes that means something to a seller.

362 In the long read, VDH worries that the American values which accorded the US to achieve so greatly under the horrors of WWII have not been sufficiently passed down to subsequent generations. But we have to remember that the tyrants of the Axis regarded America as puny, weak, and easily ignored. Japanese Admiral Yamamoto may have called it correctly in his "awoken a sleeping giant" assessment, but he was in a minority; his was not a wide-spread assessment.

So how did the Axis powers come to such a poor assessment of America? Apparently we were not showing any firm resolve in anything, nor interest in things beyond ourselves, nor grand innovations above trivialities. What was "the greatest generation" before WWII? Perhaps the Civil War, and the heroism from that one -- as today -- was not sufficiently passed down to subsequent generations.

We've risen to great challenges more than once in our history. It is by no means foreordained that we shall fail to do so in the future, despite a currently wastrel populace.

Namely, services and/or infrastructure that directly affects the value of the property in question. Streets, number One. Sewers, water distribution, electric utilities, gas perhaps (if any are provided by contractors, then no tax money for them). Fire halls, community centers maybe, school building capital costs, not maintenance or teacher salaries. NO battered wimmenz shelters, no homeless shelters, no shooting galleries for addicts, no skateboard parks, no, no, non, no...

Anecdotally, several ER docs have also mentioned that this feels like a completely different virus than back in March/April/May. Whether that's mutations, better treatment, less sick people getting, or a combo of all three, it just feels very similar to our normal winter season.

Then, I took pity on them and explained how they could buy the guitar, make 2-3x what they projected they would make on the project AND they would get to KEEP the guitar in their collection.

381 We've risen to great challenges more than once in our history. It is by no means foreordained that we shall fail to do so in the future, despite a currently wastrel populace.

I have no doubt there are many people willing and able to rise to the challenges of today. Sadly there are also a lot of people who's concept of courage involves wearing masks while assaulting people who think differently than they do and doing so while protected by the police.

Like repealing the Gallagher Amendment. How the hey did that thing pass? Oh, well, the Colorado Blue Book presenting arguments for and against the propositions labelled it as bi-partisan. Of course it was bi-partisan you fools; both Dems and GOPers are happy to get as much money into their sweaty palms as the can. It was NOT a partisan issue: it was taxpayers vs. tax spenders. It seriously constrained taxes within the State. But the Blue Book never bothered to point that out, so the measure passed.

The blue book doesn't give the best arguments; it gives the most convenient ones. It pointed out, for example, that repealing the Gallagher Amendment had bi-partisan support. It did not bother to point out that it was NOT a partisan issue: it was an issue between taxpayers versus tax spenders. And now the tax spenders won.

The one on creating the 12-week parental leave fund / agency also didn't bother to address how this new agency burdens businesses and will keep many of them from daring to expand beyond 12 employees --- all the while the Gallagher repeal was based upon the fact that Colorado businesses aren't expanding quickly enough. So let's go ahead and burden Colorado businesses even harder. Sheesh!

Every proposition that makes it to the ballot has a special interest group behind it. It's all cui bono for me. Who gains / who loses if churches are allowed to have their bingo games professionally run? Who gains / who loses if e-cigarettes are taxed? Who gains / who loses if government agencies can expand their operating funds from private sources and the proceeds need not go through the general fund (e.g. legislative review)?

454 Ah, here we go, it was Lester Patrick.

Patrick is famous for an incident which occurred on April 7, 1928, during Game 2 of the 1928 Stanley Cup Finals against the Montreal Maroons, while serving as coach and general manager of the Rangers. After starting goaltender Lorne Chabot suffered an eye injury after being hit by the puck in the middle of the second period, Patrick inserted himself into the game as the Rangers' new netminder, offering his now-teammates the words "Boys, don't let an old man down." At the age of 44 years, 99 days, Patrick remains today the oldest man to have played in the Stanley Cup Finals. At the time it was not common for teams to have a backup goaltender, and the opposing team's coach had to allow a substitute goaltender. However, Maroons manager-coach Eddie Gerard refused to give permission for the Rangers to use Alec Connell, the Ottawa Senators' star netminder who was in the stands, as well as minor-leaguer Hugh McCormick. Odie Cleghorn, the then-coach of the Pittsburgh Pirates, stood in for Patrick as coach for the remainder of the game, and directed the Rangers to check fiercely at mid-ice which limited the Maroon players to long harmless shots. Patrick saved 18 to 19 shots while allowing one goal in helping the Rangers to an overtime victory. For the next three games, the league gave permission for the Rangers to use Joe Miller from the New York Americans in goal. The Rangers went on to win the Stanley Cup; their first in franchise history.

456 Some quick Duck Duck Go ing suggests the French Protests are about a new Security law that, among other things, makes it illegal to film the police (actually publishing the footage is what is punished), allows the police to fly drones with facial recognition capabilities, gives municipal police some access to private (think store security) cameras that was previously limited to federal police and has some clause about making it illegal to attend a university just to protest without progressing towards a degree.

These are just my probably flawed gleanings, my French is shite, but the whole thing looks like a series of measures to crack down on any and all protests against the government including some pretty sketchy measures.

486 Conclusion: from article is poetry https://www.martingeddes.com/ the-digital-coup-and-the-great-exposure/
===
I looked at ALL the data in this case, and changed my beliefs. You DID NOT, and stayed the same. This is why you have FAILED this test of sanity. Such failure needs to be confronted - because your false beliefs are dangerous to us all, since they perpetuate evil. The "short cut" the media (and academia) offered you was to a labyrinth of lies by assets of a criminal ruling class. You swallowed their lies willingly.

It was previously always easy to find a justification for your beliefs, another propaganda "talking point" to counter any data offered. A sneering and condescending attitude let you easily dismiss legitimate concerns as "extremist" or "conspiracy theories". By the time you read this, that's all finished. Gone. Over.

That you have been attacked by a ruthless transnational "supermafia" armed with weaponised psychology and a whole media industry is not your fault. That others had life experiences or innate character that brought them to question the "official narrative" more quickly is also not their personal virtue. You are not my enemy, and I am not yours. Our job is to come together, respectfully and responsibly, so that we may realign and heal.

For those who were deceived by the grand illusions on offer, you will find that those you laughed at will most likely welcome you back with open arms. The precondition is that you respect equality under the rule of law, and cease to put yourself on a pedestal where you are part of a superior social class entitled to judge others and look down upon them. It is time for you to be held to your stated values of kindness, tolerance, and inclusion.

For we all have a real war to fight against a real enemy who can do us real harm. A war of infiltration, founded on treachery, that has corroded and corrupted our society. A war against great deceptions that fuel endless violent conflict.

The Great Exposure has begun. It cannot be stopped by anybody. Lasting peace is our goal and prize.

Please unify with those who are already fighting for truth and justice.

Yup, it's an issue of mathematics. The communists already know the level of fraud they need to beat Trumpian levels of turnout. Without Trump, our side's turnout will be less than that and China's candidates will win.

If you wan Trump's supporters to turn out, the campaign issue cannot be marginally slowing down Joe Biden, because if Biden is installed, the only practical goal is to get things bad enough fast enough that there is no choice but a second revolution to eliminate the federal government and its supporters.

Instead, the issue must be preventing Schumer's senate from voting to impeach him.

State Senator Doug Mastriano was on Bannon's show again. He said it's getting the leadership to act. He said there are 4 that need to get on board. One he said is but the other 3 are 50/50. The other issue is the month off the PA legislature takes after an election. They have to find a way around that and seat the people who were elected now (the Republicans picked up seats) so Mastriano hopes if they can get them seated and moving forward next week with more Republicans they can move forward.

573 I tried. It was deleted.
Enjoying the show though.

574 No we absolutely do not want that. But I think it is
magical thinking to expect different, non-fraudulent, results from the
runoff when Kemp, Raffesperger and even some of the GOPE senators have
their heads firmly buried in the sand (or the backside of the RINO next
to them) and refuse to address the fraud.

I also think the RINOs are showing utter contempt for their voters right now.

Kemp and Ratsberger seem like they are only too happy to have the cheat happen. Word is they are in on the Dominion scam. It's long past time to flush these turds away.

Posted by: TheQuietMan at November 28, 2020 04:51 PM (ekmlY)

575 Worth noting, it is possible that the RINOS lose their runoffs and Trump overturns the sham.

If the sham is overturned, then the resulting run-offs based on the sham should be invalidated too.

Not exactly. If it were possible to throw out the illegal votes, maybe. IF GA gets a SCOTUS ruling to toss all the mail-ins for the laundry list of reasons they should be excluded, then probably (I don't know the specific mail-in situation in GA). But it appears the Trump team strategy is to push for state legislators to directly appoint electors, since as a remedy that can be done in every state. That only fixes the Presidential race, so you'd still have the runoffs to contend with.

Of course if that happens, we'll know before the runoff and they can run on impeachment protection, which is a reasonable motivation for Trump voters.

576 December 6, 2019

Senators Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, Ron Wyden, and congressman Mark Pocan wrote a letter requesting information about Domincan and Staple Street Investment regarding vote manipulation.

"We are particularly concerned that secretive and "trouble-plagued companies," owned by private equity firms and responsible for manufacturing and maintaining voting machines and other election administration equipment, "have long skimped on security in favor of convenience," leaving voting systems across the country "prone to security problems." In light of these concerns, we request that you provide information about your firm....""

"undisclosed vulnerabilities,"

I think at least one of the suits in GA is requesting non-certification of all down ticket races too.

578 2010 Letter to NIST (national standards) Tech Guidelines Committee

The recent developments addressed in this letter are (1) federal charges against voting systems company Diebold and its former chief executive officer Walden W. O'Dell with fraud, during the years in which Diebold made, sold and serviced voting systems, and in which O'Dell wrote a letter in which he said he would deliver Ohio for then-President George Bush in the 2004 Presidential Election;

579 One interesting development that may or may not help Trump: Jill Stein has had a suit ongoing against WI since 2016 that the voting machine manufacturer has been blocking resolution of. A court just recently (in the last week or two) smacked down the manufacturer's motion to keep their code secret.

580 The Trump side is going to win the Constitutional argument in lawsuits in both PA and GA. Those states will have to go to their legislatures. Their 36 electoral votes move Trump to 268. The rejected ballots in the WI recount/audit will invalidate that election, also sending it to the Republican legislature. Those 10 votes move his total to 278 and the win. That is without proving any of the massive election fraud anywhere.

Right, it depends on what judges can be convinced to do first.

I just mean, based on the video Giuliani released yesterday, Trump's folks are looking to get suits from as many states as possible, ideally all six currently discussed, to SCOTUS, and then combine the cases and make the argument that there was an organized nationwide effort to steal the election, so the remedy ought to be applied to all six (which gives them some wiggle room as far as gope fuckery goes).

But other suits might accomplish other things, which is why, I think, Wood and Powell are operating 'independently.'

I think you are right and the SCOTUS decision will not preclude other solutions. I think any R who lost a down ticket race in an implicated state is a damn fool if they are not getting involved now.

584 Take a look a the White House portrait of Hw Bush, who was rumored (confirmed) to be a major player in the assassination of JFK. How do you think he became the head of the CIA?

He rubs it in your face. His head blocks out Lincoln. The Globe latitude line falls on Dallas Texas. Can you find anything else symbolic? It's obvious what he is saying. Evil rules through apathy, which is why they do things out in the open. they believe they are relieved of the (Karma) if/when people refuse to do anything about it.

The fact that a voting machine manufacturer would insist that they use proprietary technology/processes invalidates the the legitimacy of an election.

Not that Jill Stein would have been the 'winner' but a third party (even one I do not care about) needs votes to show actual popularity to survive and grow. It would benefit both major parties to suppress third party votes.

It's time for all Republican and conservative voters to forget the GA senate runoff elections until all Republicans in GA and the US Senate get behind President Trump. If they can't give them their support after the fraud, why support any Republican? Screw em
