EMT 11/21/20

The countdown has started! Don't forget to start defrosting your turkeys.

I've got two 14 pounders in a cooler. One to spatchcock and smoke, one to debone and stuff.

5 Good Morning Morons. Today is Sat, Nov 21. On this day in 164 BCE Judas Maccabeus, son of Mattathias of the Hasmonean family, restored the Temple in Jerusalem. This event is commemorated each year by the festival of Hanukkah.

154 I met Alton Brown. He was kind of a dick. But that is easy to say and I know it is almost the default when you meat a famous person who doesn't get into you lol. He is a very good cook and i have several of his books. He doesn't mess around so what he does is the legit stuff imo.

The funny thing about Turkey is the entire process is about trying to cook a well browned bird without drying out the breasts. You can go with brining, but that means no stuffing the bird. You can cook it upside down until the last 30 minutes. You can cover the breast with foil or even simply cut of the breast meat when there is 30 minutes left to go.

People rave about deep fried turkeys, and that is something i have not had. I enjoy going for perfection roasting it in an oven. After having been to other's homes for t day, well appreciated invites, I realize now how bad it can go. There are some that think it is not a real thanksgiving if the meat is not dry. The say that is what the gravy is for.

I am not one to regularly question "The Energy Kraken", but this claim seems a bit ridiculous. Shredding millions of ballots? I dunno about that. But, Sidney Powell retweeted so...

And the reason I say this is because total votes in Georgia were around 5 million. About half supposedly went to Biden and half to Trump.

So if "millions" were shredded in GA, that means that Biden supposedly only got around 500,000 votes.

I seriously doubt that.

Now, had "The Energy Kraken" said 'thousands of ballots', that I could believe and seems plausible.

There is massive fraud that went on and is still going on in this election and post-election investigation. There's no reason to exaggerate.

I admit I missed stuffing or dressing, that was a big omit. But I think stuffing is way better than dressing. It depends on how you make it, but when you put in the the bird it is way more moist and flavorful. That is the thing about Thanksgiving though. Like i alluded to up thread, there are people who would get angry if the bird was not dry, as it was not like mom used to make. The tv show Friends did a riff on this. People want it to be like it was when they were kids, and that is a good thing. Luckily for me, my mom was a great cook.

175 Here is another one that seems implausible. But, again, Sidney Powell retweeted it.

If this is the case, then it means the vote count is actually

Trump: ~80,000,000
Biden: ~69,000,000

So instead of a +6 million popular vote win for Biden, it is actually a +11 million popular vote win for Trump.

That actually does make sense. Because it would basically be a reverse of Obama's victory in 2008. And enthusiasm for Trump and lack there of for Biden pre-election was about the same as enthusiasm for Obama and lack there of for McCain back in 2008.

No feral hogs though, Ben.

I'm really looking forward to meeting some of my fellow Ohio and Ohio-adjacent Morons today. Of course, the weather forecast from just yesterday was flat-out wrong: it's ten degrees cooler, and the 15% chance of rain yesterday has moved to actually raining right now and through the morning.

Bad news: it may dampen enthusiasm a bit.
Good news: mud wrestling is a GO!

Also on the bright side, only bona fide AoS-style morons will venture out in 40 degree rainy weather to meet at our secure, undisclosed location. So while the chance of rain appears to be about 100%, the chance of random Karens has reduced to about 5%.

See you soon, Morons!

Besides, if I didn't do that those guys would be eating boxed pizza and drinking PBR.

One thing I have noticed in this world and it is anecdotal, is the more someone has a right to ignore you, they less likely they will. I only tried to get autographs from pro golfers one time. I was doing it for someone else as I had been to pga tour events many times. But one time I joined the horde and tried to get som autographs. Norman was impossible as he was swamped by people and pens everywhere. ViJay Singh was the most stand offish and really disdainful of the fans. Distraught Caller Speaks for Millions of Trump Voters Fed Up with Republicans
Nov 20, 2020

CALLER: And they should be very afraid. Very afraid. Trump and you are all we have left, Rush. We spent our lives voting for these people because they're not them, and we just can't do it anymore. We're tired of being stabbed in the back, Rush. It's better to have an enemy that's in front of you than a friend that's behind you that's just gonna stab you. They do it every time. We have a Republican-controlled state, and they won't do an audit of the vote.

They won't! They just basically told every Georgian that they don't care. We were in Washington on Saturday, me and my 33-year-old son. We saw more people than we've ever seen in our lifetime, ever - and we're season ticket holders for the Ravens, for gosh sakes. I've been in crowds of 80,000 people. I've been to Steelers games, for goodness' sakes. I have never seen so many people. But were there any Republicans there? No. None. None! But -

[ ... ]

CALLER: Our party leadership, quote, unquote. If this were a Democrat rally, they would all be there.

CALLER: They were there for the anti-Tea Party movement walking hand in hand up the steps.

CALLER: No one stands for us, Rush! Only you and Donald Trump. (choking up) God forbid. What do we have left? I love my president. I am not... I am not a revolutionary, Rush, but I would die for my president. This man has given more to this country than anybody, and he has no need to. None. He's a billionaire. He doesn't need this.

CALLER: It's disheartening.

CALLER: And, Rush, you're our last beacon. I mean, I know there's a place in heaven for you, Rush, and it just pains me every day. And my whole family prays for you because you turned us from being standard Reagan Democrats into real Republicans, and now the GOP turned us all into independents so we can go hide. It's just disheartening.

RUSH: I know.

CALLER: I'm so sorry, Rush.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Our last caller was genuinely in tears over... Well, let me explain what it was about. There are millions of Americans who believe that Donald Trump won the election - there are millions of Americans who believe that he won it handily, and that it has been stolen and taken away from him - and there are millions of Americans who believe that there are a lot of Republicans that don't care.

227 154 I met Alton Brown.

Posted by: Quint at November 21, 2020 06:55 AM (OqDgx)

-----

Yeah? Well his "cook turkey at 500F" is bullshit. I followed his directions to the letter and got a house filled with smoke in 30 minutes.

There is a reason he did a second Thanksgiving show and it wasn't because "OK, I'll do stuffing". It was because of all the viewers writing in and complaining about his 500 F cooking method.

Then there is his popcorn episode where he recommends using a wok. I'm not against his advice for using a wok but it doesn't work any better than a flat bottom pot. His supposed advantage to the wok of "you can use it as the serving dish" is flat out dangerous as the metal retains a lot of heat and is easy to get burned.

We loved watching his shows but those are two things he got flat out wrong with no correction by him.

I was reading on twitter last night someone who got a fresh turkey LAST Sunday and it says use by Dec. 2nd. She then started to wonder if a turkey kept just in the fridge that long is ok. Seems odd that it would be. Then I started to wonder about mine. Should I freeze it? And if I do, doesn't it take 3 days to freeze thoroughly...which is just when I'd have to take it out to defrost?

268 Norman was impossible as he was swamped by people
and pens everywhere. ViJay Singh was the most stand offish and really
disdainful of the fans. Jack Nicklaus stood there for an hour signing
everything from everyone. I learned something that day.

I know a former tour winner that says Greg Norman is truly a great guy.

Posted by: Deep State 910 at November 21, 2020 07:56 AM (DnZbI)

he was my fave at that time. He really did get swamped and people were crowding him and sticking pens at him. They hate it when people stick pens at them.
But Norman was kind of aloof in crowds. I can see why to some extent. Often fans will ask just too much of you, You can sign 400 flags but the 401th guy will go home and say you are jerk.

But that was the thing about Nicklaus. He knew what he was doing. He put himself between the clubhouse door and the crowd so there was some semblance of order. The others acted as if they were running the gauntlet and could not be out of there sooner.

Nicklaus stood there and signed everything from anyone for an hour. This guy was so far above the others already, but he acted like it was a pleasure while they considered it a nuisance. I am not down on the others, but I learned something that day. I think I always considered Nicklaus to be the greatest ever, but after that day I was sure of it. I never waver on that anymore. The man stands alone in his sport like few or any do in theirs.

308 True Arnold Palmer story.

Local high school football coach played basketball for Wake Forest and roomed on the same hall as Arnie.

Coach wasn't much of a golfer until after his 40 year coaching career.

Coach went to a practice round at the Masters around 1995 and of course had to follow Arnie. Coach finally got close enough to call out to "Arnie". Even after 40+ years, Arnie immediately called him by name and invited him inside the ropes to walk a couple holes along side.

Some people have that gift.

309 Tucker had some great rants along the way ... skewers the TopMen trying to run our life. I haven't even listened to where he attacked Powell ...

But Tucker is one of "them", in the sense that he grew up in that world of being in the favored groups ... so his rants against "them" are still good. It would be nice if he was "fully red-pilled", or whatever. idk ... maybe management made some demands on him, and he wants to keep the money, or his ego took over when Powell wouldn't reveal all to him ... (does he think he was our savior, just because he was taking up the sword against the more radical left? idk)

Maybe when/if the hard data and evidence are revealed, he will be humbled a little. His bad treatment of Gen. Flynn back when, may have something to do with the rift ... hard to say what is going on there.

This summer I was coming back from a dog park with Teddy and driving through Gates Mills when I saw what I thought was a turkey vulture in a bend in the road. As I got closer I knew it was something different but wasn't sure what. Turns out it was a turkey hen and some fairly newborn chicks that were scurrying around mom like some supercharged particles as she was crossing the road. I stayed in the middle of the road to make sure some unaware driver didn't clobber them by accident and they all got across ok. It was the neatest thing I saw all summer.

341 Fun fact about Arnold Palmer: he has an illegitimate daughter who grew up in the Cleveland area. Two of my buds went to school with her.

I was at the 1964 US Open at Congressional that Ken Venturi won after nearly collapsing in the 100 degree heat back when you played 36 holes on the last day. Nicklaus was still Fat Jack and hadn't done his Golden Bear makeover, but you could tell was destined for greatness. Arnie's Army were the biggest piles of shit on the course, talking while other golfers were hitting and just generally being assholes. My hope is that server or other NSA type watchful eyes will reveal the real count. IF they can show the fractional counting algorithms (or whatever it was) really stole all those votes, it needs to come out from our agencies .. really shouldn't even require a lawsuit. (if it does, fine)

But when they come out with such numbers (some are more exact, not rounded to millions) ... it indicates to me they know how the count was adjusted, maybe they have the logs on how the adjustments were made? That needs to be released via CIA/FBI whatever doing a press conference revealing they uncovered massive fraud.

348 Mr. Jen turkey hunts in the spring. Over the years we found we just eat the breast and Mr Jen will pick off meat on the legs . Wild turkey legs are virtually all tendons and ligaments better for broth making than eating. We do not attempt cooking the entire bird it is pointless. Oh I agree that it would have been better to stop it before it happened but I think that is a lot harder than it sounds given that the states run the elections and not the feds.

Trump ranted and raved about mail in voting for months but ultimately that was a state by state issue. Even still, state governments clearly broke laws and even violated the Constittuion to force it through in many instances.

Assuming Trump can pull this off there needs to be a serious review of election laws and procedures to prevent this kind of BS. A company like Dominion should never be allowed in any US election.

427 Twitter has not thought hard on the fate of the pre-Revolution Pravda editors. Very few made it out to die peacefully in their own bed. Stalin and Lenin are the exceptions.

Those editors underwent a lot of torture, and most families were whacked or sent to Siberia as well.

Twitter and Dorsey are drunk on the power they perceive they wield. They need to face harsh consequences when this is all said and done.

I really want it jammed down that asshoe governor and SoS's throats. And let's find out how deep they are with Dominion.

437 Oh I agree that it would have been better to stop it before it happened but I think that is a lot harder than it sounds given that the states run the elections and not the feds.

Posted by: Mr. Peebles at November 21, 2020 09:06 AM (oVJmc)

NO, they will ride him through the mid-term blowout. Then they can also get rid of Schumer, Pelosi, Hoyer, and the rest of the Old Guard and bring in the Squad. That also gives Obama, err I mean Harris, the Constitutionally limited 10 years.

444 Tucker had some great rants along the way ... skewers the TopMen trying to run our life.

I like Tucker as well as Sidney and I am not about to just wash my hands of Tucker over this when he has been a champion of exposing the Left and corruption.
Sidney said she might be releasing the proof of changing votes to Biden over the weekend.

My main concern is there won't be enough proof and I have this sinking feeling that the computers that were seized are going to be scrubbed.
She's got to have the evidence before the computers were seized.

446 There is a very good upside for the GOP coming from Trumps leadership. No matter what happens that won't go away. We've seen a tremendous influx of new party members from all walks of life and backgrounds. I know that upsets people like you because it comes from the Demon-Crap Party which is becoming as popular as the clap. But it's a very positive sign. Jonah is fucking A right.
Posted by: Marcus T at November 21, 2020 09:04 AM (a8b7P)

Whoa dude.

Why assume "that upsets people like me"? WTF? I'm glad "others" are seeing the light.

However, it appears to me the R Gov and SoS of GA laid an egg.

But it will be better if we just vote for the new R's in 2022 while being thankful Tillis got re-elected. Oh, maybe we can get Tillis 2.0 to replace Burr next go round.

Jonah may be right with his assessment but some will just throw up their hands and say fuck it.

And these new, fresh-faced candidates are going to beat cheating in future elections how?

Who is going to enforce the law? The FBI? The Philly PD and judges and juries? Altanta's Election Board? Detriot's?

If half of this BS about this election is true, why would you think we can vote our way out this in 2-4 years?

Agreed. I think the only difference being that the U.S. operation was infinitely more complicated than say Ukraine's, therefore of necessity, it has been in development for many years.

And wouldn't it be nice if we had investigative reporters like those from Rebel News?

Oh yea, this is much more complex but all the basic pieces are there including Soros himself.

Did you know that Harris' husband works for the company that sits on the board of SGO, the parent of Smartmatics? I guess we know why she got the VP slot.

I really hope that the medias role in all of this is exposed for all to see. It couldn't have even attempted without their active participation.

451 One thing I have noticed in this world and it is anecdotal, is the more someone has a right to ignore you, they less likely they will. Jack Nicklaus stood there for an hour signing everything from everyone. I learned something that day.

At the Masters, for a few years on a lark iwould ask anyone working there about Vijay, It was rare not to get "Vijay!? that ass409$! Let me tell you about Vijay..."
Nicklaus was the exact opposite. Beloved.
