Just a delightful, pleasant painting of an attractive girl in a tranquil scene. It makes me relax just viewing it. It has the feel of a pastel painting the way colors blend, especially in the girl's complexion.

Coming back to the colors, I wouldn't normally like that shade of yellow for clothing - it's a little too mustard-y - but here there's a nice contrast with the pillow, and then the yellow gets echoed on the wall. It works.
(Regarding referring to that shade of yellow as mustard, a few years ago, I was wearing a white shirt and a salmon pink skirt with little white polka dots, and one of my (female) coworkers was wearing a black and white polka dot shirt with a salmon jacket. She pointed out we matched, and I laughed and said something about salmon and polka dots being the theme for the day. Our male coworkers all shook their heads, and one said, "I would have just said pink," and we explained to him that it was definitely salmon. We then had a running gag for a while where I would tell him his shirt was some obscure color. One day I told him his shirt was puce and mine was periwinkle. He had to look it up before he believed me. Hah) Posted by: Mrs. Peel at November 25, 2020 09:48 AM (rWZ8Y) Posted by: Muldoon at November 25, 2020 09:48 AM (m45I2) 93

And don't forget the Hanukkah observers on your list. For your Jewish friends in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, Oregon, South Dakota, Vermont, and Washington, how about a Menorah Bong. Pricey at $399, but the retailer promises that this water pipe, with eight 10mm bowls that "all feed into one big bubbler chamber ... will really spin your dreidel." I mentioned a mess of stuff this morning based on Powell, Lin Wood, and other lawyers postings of what is going on. Wood insinuated this was a set up to a coup, along with Powell saying they are doing in plain site, the fraud, for all to see. So we see the msm and social media trying to brainwash into not believing what we are seeing. Lying and saying there is no fraud. Nothing to see here, move along. We have social media tyrants blocking the truth and free speech (now the msm is attacking Parler like a monster, so go support them even if you never used Twitter). We can talk amongst ourselves, communicate what is happening and "meet online" without them blocking, suspending, shadow banning and deleting us from the web. They also floated a fake "Parler was hacked" story. They are trying to take it down. (which is chuckle worthy after they told us to "go build your own", so we did and boy are they stomping their feet and little tiny hands). But to get to my new point... If this is true. *If*. This talk of a coup. Remember the JEF joked that they could remove Trump by force. This was not an off the cuff remark after all, was it? And the reason Trump shifted the reporting structure of certain folks in the military infrastructure. If this is true, then that is why the MSM has been parroting this "Trump won't leave office!" "like a dictator!" "We will have to physically remove him!" set up from the beginning a special special intl ops? This would be the worst of the worst in US history and abroad. If it is true kraken was used to even manipulate French or other european leader's votes.. wow I doubt we will see any of this in the light of day. We will be kept in the dark and stuff will be locked up from knowing into a hundred years in the future. Posted by: artisanal 'ette at November 25, 2020 09:59 AM (sfhL4) 159

The commercial real estate market is about to go to hell in a handbasket as a wave of retail defaults hits, thanks to all of the lockdowns that have strangled businesses. It'll cause a domino effect across the financial world. ==== Power of "and" Its going to be sporty. See, the liberals realize they control the money coming from big corps. Which are doing nice business supplying delivered goods to your door. The putative opposition gets a lot of cash from small business owner types, car dealers (whom Obama devastated), private practice doctors dentists - whom Insurance Co./HIPPA and corporate medicine already devastated. The other small business owners, restaurant types, etc., are being demolished by lockdowns so as to completely gut the infrastructure of the conservative movement. The lockdowns are all about punishing your enemies and rewarding your friends and have nothing to do with health. If they care about health would they have put all those covid patients in Nursing homes? Laughed at all the riots and demonstrations? They don't give a single sh!t about anyone's health but their own. The spot the Nazis at a cocktail party article from 1939 is recommended reading. __ Well sure investing in anything and if you time the short term peaks and valleys you can do well. But as a long term investment, gold has not been very good, relative to other options over the past 10-15 years. And the one thing people forget about when doing these comparisons is dividends. If you buy a SP500 or DJIA fund or SPDR, you get dividends that can be re-invested. That can be anywhere from 3-5% a year, that adds up over 15 years. Gold doesn't pay shit. 316 307 I see Jim Hoft is doing his usual stupid: Harris not resigning her seat is NOT some secret tell.
Biden didn't resign his seat until AFTER he took oath of office as senator and was sworn in for another term. Then he resigned and took the oath for VP. Most likely because they allowed him 2 salaries for a year. GP likes to go out of his way to shout things that discredit him. The purchasing value of gold and silver remains relatively stable over long time frames. Currencies are devalued. If you can't get an investment return that exceeds the rate of devaluation, your purchasing power is reduced. You may think you have grown in wealth, when you can actually buy less than when you started.
Precious metals aren't for growing wealth, they are for preserving it. Posted by: sniffybigtoe at November 25, 2020 10:29 AM (xfb67) 386

Posted by: jwest at November 25, 2020 10:31 AM (/BlEx) i don't buy that. Look at gold in 2005 to 2020. Sure it dropped recently. Some sold at the right time. But it went up three times over that period and it was very much in keeping with the SP unless I have my stats all screwed up. And if you picked specific company, it could have gone to shite for many reasons. Gold is pretty much what it is, it doesn't have extreme variables that can tank it like a CEO on the take. Not saying buy gold, but people who say it has not worked are cherry picking dates. It has worked for people who were in for the haul or even got lucky. Kind of like stocks really. Look, we all know that over the last 50 or so years you should have had it all in Philip Morris. Oh we don't? Well i wonder why that is? If you had one stock over the last fifty or even a hundred years, it should have been MO. Ask someone who has spent twenty years in the hip Dell how things have gone. He also understood that what's happening is a class war disguised as a race war. Of course, then he ruins it by stating flat out that Trump has said "half a dozen racist and anti-Semitic things" and a few other dumb liberal items-of-faith. Posted by: Ian S. at November 25, 2020 10:42 AM (ZGrMX) 471

I pay a company to protest the appraisal for me. They charge me 40% of what they save me. They usually can't save much because unfortunately, I've got a nice property in a nice area where values are (currently...) going up. (They did save me a shit ton on the old house - it had foundation damage, leaky pipes, and lost trees due to the citywide pine beetle infestation after Ike, so when the tax office tried to jack my appraisal UP, it ended up going WAY down. WAY, WAY, WAY down. Tax office shot themselves in the foot because they could have just left the value as it was and I wouldn't have thought of protesting. Instead, they had to eat a big loss AND had less to increase from for future years.)

606 We dont have state income tax in TX, but we more than make up for it in property tax.
Posted by: Mrs. Peel at November 25, 2020 11:02 AM Worst part about Texas. However, Im GLAD they passed a law capping the increase max at 2%, I think, as opposed to the 10% it used to be. Posted by: Sponge - Office of the President Elect As part of my get out of Calizuela Plan I worked out a spreadsheet showing state property taxes and income taxes and applied it to average homes in the areas I was interested in. I was shocked at Texas. And blown away by New Hampshire. For supposedly freedom loving places, you are paying literally rent to the state to OWN your property (and I would put OWN in caps instead of quotes because pixy hates quotes from my browser). 1% is the max I would tolerate (and that is too much). Maybe that and a sales tax (since no one forces you to buy things). That would be a good liberty supporting tax system. Income tax is theft and turns us into slaves of the state. Not to mention, if the Left believed that Trump would run again and be a threat to them in 2024, they will spend the next 4 years destroying him to prevent that from ever happening.
Again, just plain stupid take to think we can lose now and somehow win in 2024. You accept defeat now and you endorse the Deep State's fraud. Posted by: Clyde Shelton at November 25, 2020 11:01 AM (Do5/p) This , along with the idea that Trump is going to start a media company. He has a company currently that I'm sure has been brutalized during his presidency, especially the hotels during Covid 19. His buildings in NYC are struggling, as one can imagine. Remember the apartment owners in Trump tower that demanded the name Trump be removed from the building , the daily protests there, including ones participated in by the NYC mayor? I think he will have his hands full helping Eric, Ivanka, and Don Jr. resurrect it. He has a 14 year old son who has had to endure what no child of a president should endure through this presidency. Not to mention a wife who has been mocked, demonized, and lied about the entire time she has been first lady. He would be 78 in 2024 and I can pretty much guarantee his family will NOT be behind him running again. Lara Trump said last year that none of them are planning to participate in politics when Trump's presidency was over, they all needed a break to have some kind of a normal life again. I've lived in several states. And I've come to realize that all states tax about the same more or less **. The difference is the split between the 3 main taxes; sales, income, property. Some are high income, low sales, low property. Some are medium all 3, etc. But in the end the amount of $$ is the same. ** CA, NJ, IL being the exceptions which are batshit crazy. I had a bottle of the Eagle Rare 17 year old. Not bragging here, as I am no longer in the game. But that was part of the collection that comes out this time of year from Buffalo Trace along with Pappy. There is the Eagle Rare 17, the Sazerac 18, all the various Van Winkle stuff and the George Stagg stuff. The collectors go ape shit for it and you can get any one at a reasonable price, then do so.
But if you are paying more than $300, you are getting robbed. Well, not robbed, it is supply and demand. But the state run stores charge no more than $200 for a Pappy and less than a C not for Sazerac 18. Anything else you are paying is price inflation. of course you can pretty much not get them from state stores unless you win their lottery. Back in the day you got on a waiting list. I would go for a really nice scotch for two bills and never look back. there are good bourbons to be had not doubt there. If you find an Elijah Craig 18 year you will be doing well. And even Blantons is good if you just want to try good bourbon. But if you pay over $60, they are cheating you. Posted by: Quint at November 25, 2020 11:16 AM (ZbBR3) 688
