Shocker: Allegedly Unbiased "Journalist," Former Biden Intern, and Would-Be Moderator of Second Debate Admits He... Lied Like Anthony Weiner in Claiming He Was "#HACKED!"

This is my shocked face.

The Brave Firefighters of the media again caught lying every time they get caught in a jam?

The face you are currently looking at? Is one of shock.

Who would have guessed that a leftwing hack would resort to childish lying to get himself out of a jam.

Also: He then took responsibility... by blaming Trump.

Do you see my face? If it seems familiar, it's because you just saw it two seconds ago.

It is my shocked face, this time with an eighth-turn to the left.

I call it Shocked Blue Steel.

Scully said that when he saw his tweet had created a controversy, "I falsely claimed that my Twitter account had been hacked."

Behold, My Face of Shock.

He had been frustrated by Trump’s comments and several weeks of criticism on social media and conservative news outlets about his role as moderator, including attacks directed at his family, he said.

This is a lie. He just lied about the hack, now he's lying about the reasons for the hack.

Sarah Jeong, the outrageously anti-white, anti-male racist at the New York Times, similarly claimed that "bad men on the internet made me say racist shit about white people."

Notice they never quote the "attacks" they claim provoked their own bad behavior. But they always describe them as "attacks" (usually meaning "criticism" or "disagreement") or "death threats" (which often means something like "go die in a fire") or "rape threats" (which usually just means "f*** you" or "s*** my d***").

The "attacks" that they say drove them to lie or write dozens of racist attacks against white people must obviously be very serious things, right? So serious that they would surely screenshot it for possible use by the police, should they become involved in the hunt for these Malefactors.

But for some reason, they can never quote or link or provide screencaptures of these possibly-criminal provocations.

That's because they're lying.

Every time.

Every fucking time.

I saw earlier claims that Scully's wife was herself somehow politically connected to the Democrats, and therefore, Scully's own impartiality was in question.

I don't know if those claims are true; I'm unable to find anything online about his wife.

But I remember those claims.

He's now claiming that people talking about his wife's political affiliation constitutes an "attack on my family" which of course then justifies his lying and falsely reporting a crime.

Produce these "attacks," Scully. Let us see these horrible "attacks on your family" so we can judge how serious they were.

Also, Steve, while I've got you: You claimed twice before that you were "#hacked."

Were your claims of prior "#Hacked" situations similarly provoked by "attacks on my family" or nah?

Maybe attacks of alcohol on your brain cells might be more responsible, eh?

"These were both errors in judgement for which I am totally responsible for," Scully said. "I apologize."

Except that Trump was really to blame for calling Scully a partisan (he is) and some internet randos suggesting his wife was connected to Democrat politics (open question on that).

But other than shifting the blame to the people who made him lie -- yeah, he's taking full responsibility.

Any apologies from Chris Wallace, who leaped into claiming that Scully should be presumed to be truthful, mocking those who were skeptical of his bullshit claims as partisan conspiracy theorists?

Any apologies from the partisan Commission on Presidential Debates, which likewise denigrated Scully's critics and skeptics of his tall tale?

No?

Oh, one more question, which no one in the media will ever ask about, and no one at the CPD will ever answer:

What role did the partisan liar Steve Scully have in deciding to turn the second debate into a Biden-friendly "virtual" basement debate?

By the way: C-SPAN has already announced that after a brief time-out, Scully will return to being a liar on their platform, suffering no penalty at all.

Remember when Brian Williams lied, and he had to take a year off? And then he was right back at anchor, and we were kind of shocked how lightly the media punishes proven liars in an occupation supposedly all about Truth-Telling?

Well, now the punishment for falsely reporting a crime is down to a couple of weeks, just until after the election.

That's how seriously the media takes lying when the lies are told by its own members.

You don't break up Twitter.

You force Twitter to publish their source.
You allow other companies to use that source - for a fee.
You allow experts to review that source and discuss all the things Twitter is doing which you'd prefer that they don't.
You fine them $1 billion every time they are using source other than that which has been published.

Or are they going to claim that's just part of a moderators debate prep, and they do it for everyone?

47 You know, I don't even mind a left-wing moderator for a debate. We can all see them. We can watch them and we can make our own judgments. I'm good with it. But when they directly interfere and slant their questions and act in an openly partisan way, it confuses things and it's unfair and dishonest. Then they want to walk away and pretend it didn't happen and we're crazy and that pisses me off.

SHIT! I know exactly what scam they're working. They've got a stack of valid driver's licenses that they've collected (dead people? who knows) and everytime an Illegal with no license comes through the drivethru line, they run in and get him a fake ID that they can use so he can cast a ballot.

and since the actual ballots are anonymous, they've probably worked out a way to use each license they have dozens of times. So that's how Houston officials intend to manufacture 100,000 surplus Dem votes.

The concept of "a single moderator who is in charge of questions and questioning, who is honest and non-partisan, who is a known quantity from the professional journalism industry" is predicated on a false premise so severe that the system is subsequently broken.

Let each side pick a moderator, and make them both strong-willed naked partisans who will check each other.

Social media would devolve into porn pretty quickly if no one was monitoring content.
I
think you treat them like any other publisher, and you reverse NY Times
v Sullivan, which created a very high hurdle to sue a publisher
(Another questionable law, courtesy of the USSC)
They should be
subject to slander and libel and interference laws like anyone else. The
press has no greater right than the public to attend a trial, for
example. It should also have no greater right than the public to slander
people, or violate civil rights laws which say you can't discriminate
due to political party. You could provide a "retraction" remedy, and it they don't retract or correct, let the lawsuits commence.

In CA, with AB60 they've been sending voter materials to illegals who apply for DL's since 2015. As of 2018 they'd handed out 1M, that with a 50% fail rate (DMV's own numbers).

DMV says they cannot differentiate illegals from legals in their database, because democrat software. So, they say it's an honor system, and it works just fine, thank you very much.

Visually, the difference between the licenses is almost negligible on purpose. So, why is CA even allowed to participate in National elections at this point?

Last thread, yes I agree the bigger story is the trashing of the debate commission.

Ronna McDaniel said last week after this came out that if she has anything to say about it, no Republican will ever participate in a debate arranged by this commission. She said they were nothing but partisian hacks who were focused on helping Joe Biden. She said the Republican party will arrange their own debates from now on and exclude this commission.

I don't see another debate coming this election. Biden won't agree to use anyone else because these people are already set up to offer him questions ahead of time, answers, etc. And Trump and McDaniel won't agree to another debate through these clowns.

You've put your finger on why there's no way that Republicans will ever win California as long as the current regime is in control. There is no longer the possibility for free and fair elections in that state, they are all quite literally rigged, and it is the State Government itself doing the rigging.

It's also why the Electoral College is so important. Even with total Corruption, right now California only screws up California, and even if they turn in 100 million Dem votes, they still don't get to pick the President with them.

I don't see another debate coming this election. Biden won't agree to use anyone else because these people are already set up to offer him questions ahead of time, answers, etc. And Trump and McDaniel won't agree to another debate through these clowns.

I say again: I'd like to see three moderators, one from each camp, and a third one whose job is merely to keep time.

The partisan moderators would be tasked with posing questions to the opposing candidate. That way we'd get some edged questions that wouldn't have been leaked to the candidate.

197 New debate commission moderator picking rules:

There will be TWO moderators -- one from each side.

Each candidate gets to submit 10 names for moderators.

Those names go in separate hats -- one hat for the R's picks and one hat for the D's picks.

A name is picked out of each hat BUT just like in court with voir dire (jury selection) the candidates get ONE veto on the selection. If you use your veto on that name whoever is pulled out next is moderator.

Voila... we have two moderators from both sides to handle the debate. The D's moderator questions the R's candidate and the R's moderator questions the D's candidate.

225 In 2016, I met someone who was part of the Jill Stein recount in MI. There was massive fraud on the part of the poll workers; boxes would say 213 Hillary, 0 Trump. When you opened the box, there would be 6 Hillary, 2 Trump. The fraud was massive in Wayne County.

----> this form of voter fraud seems so easy, that you'd think countering it and detecting it would be a no brainer.

This is why the recount was stopped. There was no way to possibly recount Detroit because there were no records. There were no signature books, some precincts had 200% votes for registered voters. Some precincts had poll workers that just showed up that day and had no idea how to operate tabulating machines, they were putting ballots in for counts six or seven times.

In the primary this past August, the new Dem sec.of State, actually had standby poll workers who had attended training, ready to go to Detroit if precincts had no one show up to work. And yes, once again it happened. These people were sent in to open polls and get them functioning.

Detroit is a mess and I doubt it will be much better than 2016, but I do have to give the Sec. of State props for at least anticipating the problems and trying to head them off.

TBH, I don't even think we should have senators or representatives in DC until the voter rolls are purged.

You bet this is what the Electoral College circumvents. I've always believed Hillary's popular vote came from right here.

251 There's a measure on the Colorado ballot this year, I presume it's on others, that says the winner of the popular vote will be elected President... provided enough states agree to it.

Essentially eliminating the Electoral College.

It's badly worded, but yeah, it'll likely pass in Colorado. Because it says nothing about the EC, and just makes what will appear to LiVs as a "sensible" statement about electin' the Prezzy.

Well, no.

It doesn't take effect until 270 electoral votes have signed on. Until then, the states that have signed on assign their electoral votes like normal.

But, as I said, it's really, really unconstitutional. Like, not even close.

Plus, with ACB replacing RBG and the very real possibility of Trump replacing Breyer in the next couple of years (he's talking about retiring, apparently), we're looking at a SCOTUS that definitely won't suddenly find that states can disenfranchise their own voters based on what the voters of CA and NY have done.

First, you have to understand I'm not a jealous or envious person by nature.

But when I see YouTube clips and TV shows etc pre-2020, I am not just wistful for times where people were all gathered in the same room, maskless, talking, singing, playing instruments, hugging, laughing, and being close together without a second thought. I am actually jealous of them.

It's now like looking at an alien world. Or coming back as a ghost, floating around, and seeing all these individuals acting like normal human beings - and not being able to warn them about what's coming. Very weird. Maybe I need some sleep.

301 Anyone who has had any dealings with journalists knows that they are largely full of shit. They don't just make stuff up about important political issues. They make stuff up in fluff pieces that have no real impact on anything. I believe that they are so full of self importance that they really believe that accuracy doesn't matter.

I have mentioned this before. I worked with a very nice older lady who was retiring. A reporter called me for a phone interview about the woman's retirement, celebrations, and so on. She asked me a few simple questions, which I answered. Later I read the newspaper article and she had me quoted, by name, as saying things that I had never said. There was nothing negative about the quotes. They were actually nice. It is just that I had never said them. They weren't even close to anything that I HAD said.

Talk to anyone who has been involved in a local incident, such as a car accident, and has read the news reporting on it. They will tell you that the reporting is way off.

I'd attended multiple functions that reporters attended and they are incredibly full of themselves. Not only are they not very bright, but almost all of them are thoughtlessly, and naively liberal.

308 I sincerely hope some of the AoSHQ'ers who tend to see the negative in almost everything that comes in the news these days, can see the steady, significant, substantial positives that are happening this week.

I'm not saying we should be popping champagne corks and dipping our nethers in pudding, but yeah. It's been a good week. So far.

I will grudgingly admit that with Rudy's revelations and watching Twitter shoot itself in the foot, together with Teh Donald taking no prisoners, I am slightly more hopeful. But I still recall when we were convinced the polls were wrong, people hated Marxism and Romney was going to cruise to victory.

So, no. Not until the election is over and Trump (GOd willing) sweeps 57 states.

As they say, let's not punch each other's babies in the dick just yet.

I wouldn't be surprised if the "abolish the electoral college" ploy was planned to come to a culmination a few years from now before a left-leaning supreme court, which might just pull that trigger.

It does seem like a leftist "long con" that's been steadily making its way toward a permanent illegal-Californians-get-to-elect-the-president outcome

317 Plus, with ACB replacing RBG and the very real possibility of Trump replacing Breyer in the next couple of years (he's talking about retiring, apparently), we're looking at a SCOTUS that definitely won't suddenly find that states can disenfranchise their own voters based on what the voters of CA and NY have done.

One area of attack is the Chrome browser, apparently and there is a rumor that the suit will seek to force Google to sell off Chrome.

386 Plus, with ACB replacing RBG and the very real possibility of Trump
replacing Breyer in the next couple of years (he's talking about

suddenly find that states can disenfranchise their own voters based on
what the voters of CA and NY have done.

I haven't heard about these rumors of a Breyer retirement, but he's the obvious next candidate. I choose to accept the rumors uncritically, because it takes me to my happy place.

"News" people don't care. They just crank out shit to sell advertising alongside of. They know that's the only reason for their existence, and they're fine with that.

Here's the thing about celebrities/ actors/ musicians. They have all dealt with this firsthand. From very early on. They know what shits reporters are. They *know* it.

Many are ignorant and hateful idiots, I don't dispute it.

But I wager a large majority of them stay quiet about politics in total supplication. Because the lefty media has the power to ruin. Even some outspoken ones - and others who occasionally give an offhand quote about how awful Republicans are - I would bet only do so in total subservience because they don't want to be blacklisted or have their families ruined.

And when they get a big payday, the unconnected ones pay egregious taxes.

And so we get a Hollywood that is totally on board with the Left. But it's probably closer to 40/60, especially when you factor in all the tradesman.

Posted by: navybrat, holing up at October 15, 2020 04:05 PM (w7KSn)

I mentioned earlier. AB60 started handing DL's out to illegals in 2015.To make the roads safer, don't you know. Of course, DMV had a "software error" at first, sending voter registration materials to all illegals because they couldn't tell who was illegal and who wasn't. So, they said it was all no big deal, we'll go on the honor system.

Of course, implementing the motor voter law was their intention the whole time. It's illegal to ask if you're illegal, so they're supposed to know that they shouldn't be filling these things out. Once there was enough outrage, DMV was required to tell the people when applying for their license in person this is bad, mmm'kay?

I feel so much better knowing cousin Julio working at the DMV is telling uncle Jorge he shouldn't fill out that paperwork we gave you IF you're illegal. [wink wink]

Barely. Gardner has fallen into line on judges but is otherwise a lib. A lib is better than a hard-left communist, but Gardner isn't a great ally outside of the judiciary (and impeachment - he voted right on that, too, unlike that shit heel Romney). I'll take him over Dickenpooper, but Gardner needs to be primaried.

I agree, and I think that Obama made an incredibly bad pick, even from a Leftist point of view, with Kagan. She had never been a Judge, as you say, she knew nothing about writing opinions or crafting decisions. And so Dems used one of their valuable Supreme Court picks to choose an intellectual lightweight who throughout the rest of her career will never be more than a "Me Too!" on what the other, smarter, Justices are writing.

It was like having a first round pick in the Draft and choosing Vince Young, or Johnny Manziel.

Another thing I was reading last night was a long claim that the primary mechanism of transmission of WuFlu is feco-oral. Ewww, I know -- it doesn't take much. Norovirus goes that route as well as polio.

Anyway, if true that means masks are useless. One would get it by touching one's face after one's fingers became contaminated.

They claim the ACB event was the "superspreader" event that infected Trump, Kayleigh, etc. Respiratory transmission could not explain that, but feco-oral would. One infected person touches some common food or drink stuff -- cups, serving spoons, etc, and then everyone else touches it, gets in on their hands.

If this is the case, the Joe will get it, as masks are useless

Better to go with the devil you know, and that was Obama.

I'd also go with an assist from God--Romney would have given the Dems everything they wanted, destroyed the Republican brand and we'd be looking right now at Hillary easily winning reelection; the Republicans getting maybe 100 EV.

I won't mock you - I agree.

The Biden family saga is a tragedy, when you look past all the money they grifted from the American people and foreign governments over the years.

Schweitzer's book, Culture of Corruption, tells the story about how Biden was elected Senator at 29. His brother James was the campaign manager, Joe's sister was the treasurer, and it was a home-grown operation that ended up toppling an incumbent, in a true David v. Goliath story.

From there, unfortunately, it turns into the grift machine that will be exposed for all to see, thanks to Hunter "Fredo" Biden.

I can only imagine the pain that he's going through right now. Totally self-inflicted and deserved, mind you, but he's going to be the source of his family's ruin, and after the memory of the sainted Beau, that's got to hurt.

He's probably buried in coke and hookers right now, trying to blot out the pain of what he's done.

I don't think this end result was ever really in question.

So, Republicans follow the set procedures including several days of committee hearings. Democrats get some milquetoast ad footage, refusing to go the full-Kavanaugh, and ACB ends up on the court.

I know people thought Graham and Mitch should have just shoved her nomination to a floor vote without committee hearings, but I think this is the better result.

It's like one of those scenes in a spy movie in the Evil Inc. conference room. A push of the button drops a failed minion to a shark pit in the sub-basement. Not for being evil -- that's his job. For being incompetent. James Bond escaped again.

But unlike the movies, I assume behind the scenes they are telling Scully not to worry. The shark pit is for people like Flynn. And us.

2. It's a monstrous lie. That's what all of them do.

Which is likely a big reason no moves have been made yet. I agree and have said the real crimes here were by Joe selling access. And as I have said since the beginning of the campaign Joe was only running to stave off a potential criminal charge.

634 So, this is an interesting phenomenon. I have an Android phone. It's a Motorola (Lenovo) and it runs basically stock, bog-standard Android under the skin (unlike, say, Samsung which makes a lot of modifications/enhancements to the stock OS). There is a new feature as of a couple of months ago where the phone (or more likely Google's cloud services) will detect spam text messages and quarantine them for you to review if you want to.

I have been spammed a lot this week with GOTV messages, and most of them sail right through with no problems and show up in my messages list. There is one exception, though: GOTV messages that are associated with prior spam messages from Republicans (or the RNC). Every single message from an R candidate or the RNC gets shunted off as spam, and every follow-up GOTV message gets the same treatment.

Out-of-the-blue GOTV messages come right through. I don't know if Android quarantines Democrat or DNC messages and GOTV follow-ups, but I sort of doubt it.

Well, that's really all there are.

The relationship between "news media" and the Democrats is legendarily incestuous. Has been for a very long time. It didn't start yesterday.

Senate and House staffers go back and forth between the networks and working for Democrats. Appointed "hacks" go to the networks after their guy or gal leaves office.

Just now, it's become more obvious. You would hope, as an ostensibly Republican partisan, that you would at least get someone who was professional.

Can't the Clintons still pull in millions making speeches and appearances? There's always some NGO or college commencement or womens rights group that would love to throw money at them. There are people who would pay tens of thousands of dollars just to be photographed with them.

I figure the same for Joe. Liberals take care of their idols. The downside for Joe, any way you cut it, is he won't live much longer.

But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes. 43 Before long your enemies will build ramparts against your walls and encircle you and close in on you from every side. 44 They will crush you into the ground, and your children with you.
