Also in the video, Biden describes contracts that his brother James, who was woefully unqualified, received simply because of his association with Biden as vice president. Biden also allegedly used his influence to help James' wife, Sara.So Joe does the favors, his family members receive the payoffs, and then the family members secretly kick-back a percentage to Corrupt Joe Biden. Answer: The money was not going DIRECTLY to the Biden's but through foundations/corporations/shells (probably disguised as 'consulting fees') and claimed as business income.
I'm sure from there each Biden family member had a mechanism in place to allow them to wet their beaks without alerting the authorities.
It suddenly makes more sense when you look at Joe Biden's financial disclosure forms and the amounts he paid in taxes compared to his public salary -- where was all of this extra income coming from and why was he receiving it? Now we know.

I thought it was a post 9-11 thing. That was the "rationale." Regardless, I prefer 10 years, but am open to persuasion that it could be longer. What I don't think ex-Presidents should get is any money for an office. If we want to pay for one year, just to help with transition, ok. But fund your own office. Perhaps with that pension ex-President's get. I'd nix that as well.

I thought it was a post 9-11 thing. That was the "rationale." Regardless, I prefer 10 years, but am open to persuasion that it could be longer. What I don't think ex-Presidents should get is any money for an office. If we want to pay for one year, just to help with transition, ok. But fund your own office. Perhaps with that pension ex-President's get. I'd nix that as well.

It seems like there should be arrests. We want arrests. It is disheartening that there have been no arrests. But it was always unlikely that there would be any in a first term - for many reasons. Maybe I'm naive about what may come in a 2nd term. And yes, there is always the risk that there is no 2nd term.

I'm reasonably certain there are people inside the Trump campaign, who have figured out that "big name" arrests prior to the election would have a quite negative effect.
Further, they probably have discussed how to have Barr "not do anything," and then have Trump say "Barr isn't doing anything," for the specific benefit of positive electoral strategizing.
But maybe I'm naive too, and don't realize that everything we see from this Administration is totally either good or bad, and has nothing to do with trying to win this election.

We do yearly reviews where I work. There is a 1 page (staff) or 2 page (supervisor/manager) review form with very small comment boxes. I despise those things. During the course of the year, I do email myself comments on my staff's performance - the good and bad. Come review time I sit down and write up a multi-page review with detail highlighting accomplishments and where there may be room for improvement. I"m told by HR that I'm the only manager that does that. What a pity.

That's brutal and almost - though not quite - enough to make me feel something other than antipathy for Hunter.
If you're going to play a dangerous game like this - international political intrigue, international industrial corruption, bribery, large-scale theft, etc. - you should take care that all of the intermediaries on your side are happy with the situation. Now, 50% of Hunter's later salaries still amount to more than 20 grand a month, but who knows about earlier on the scheme when Biden was just a half-retarded senator. But if that text is true, Hunter is clearly very resentful.
You need, as the kingpin of such a far-flung and hopelessly criminal scheme, to *avoid* resentment in the ranks that are doing your laundry. Even if they don't turn on you (and Hunter didn't), shit like this will still happen.

I realize everything isn't a conspiracy, but I almost wonder if Team Trump hired him to intentionally scramble the message this time - without destroying his own brand.

Easy - pay all Joe's expenses. Mortgage, utilities, travel. Your government pension goes a loooong way if you pay for nothing. Or put it into a family trust that doles out payments to family members. Check the trust - my guess is it increased by about $50 million when Hunter was taking bribes. Also they can pay Joe Biden for a speech, or for a book. or donate to his campaign, and then put various family members on the campaign as paid staffers. There are so many ways for the money to get from Hunter to Joe. Most are perfectly legal.

#2 raised an eyebrow for me, too. That is four million Benjamins. So how much is that?
A bill is 2.61" x 6.14" x 0.0043"
So assuming a large standard suitcase, it is about 30" x 20" x 12" and we'll assume those are inside dimensions.
In 12", you can fit 2,790 bills, so each stack is that many. You can get three stacks longwise, and 11 stacks in the other direction, for a total of 31 stacks. 31 stacks is 86,490. There is some wiggle room here, but the point remains that about 100k bills is nowhere close to 4 million bills. They aren't even in the same universe.
Not to mention that 4 million bills would weigh close to 9,000 pounds - or more than I'd try to lift in a suitcase.
My assessment, for what it's worth: bullshit (unless it was bonds or something that isn't cash).
