We had some very brisk wind yesterday so naturally all the leaves that were marginal fell--on MY damn lawn.

The colors this year are quite brilliant compared to recent foliage displays, I'm liking that.

Still have another week of light duty post hernia surgery ( a pretty quick umbilical slice and sew) that wasn't terribly painful IF you discount getting in and out of the car on the ride home. That was a flipping painful few moments.

I'll bet the dumb and senile thing is even an act like that NY crime boss who used to walk around the village in his PJs. Everything they did was perfect. Well, except for making a crack head the key man. Well nobody's perfect.

4. The US Intelligence community is beyond incompetent. I mean these must be the least curious, least connected, least informed people on the planet - no wonder they spent four years trying to set up Trump - he looked like an easy kill. For all this to be going on and for them not to even notice. No leaks from insiders, no investigations of unsupported wealth. No curiosity about howcome all these politicians also have such talented families that everyone is willing to pay them billions.

Oh, and not just the US IC, but other nations. Taiwan, Korean, Japan, Australia,... I mean they all have people in China and yet none of them knew. Or at least none of them told anyone in the US IC. I am sure if they had warned them the FBI would have been all over it. Sure there were a lot of leaks about Russia, but they would have needed two files to keep all that straight, so I can understand ("true", and "shit we made up".)

5. They are all in on it. Every motherless bastard inside the beltway either gets wire transfers from the CCP once a month, or they are under threat of indictment (like Trump.)

The media's center of gravity is Twitter. Ace has pointed this out time and again. That's why Twitter tried to kill the story outright.

The problem with the media changing the subject is that Trump will keep bringing it up and views of the NYPost continue to grow.

So they're getting dragged along with it.

Also, Team Biden knows its out there and it is getting to them.

The Left keeps talking about getting under Trump's skin, well this is a red hot spike under Biden's collarbone.

There will not be another debate for that reason. They won't be able to contain it and by then - in fact just before the debate - I expect Rudy to bring up proof that Joe got a cut of his son's bribes.

Regardless, Trump needs to do this.

I think any honest person can conclude that the DOJ, no matter who is the head, is so completely corrupt and dysfunctional that it is impossible to carry out any form of justice.

That may explain why these damning revelations are only coming out of private law firms and consultants rather than the people who have guns and sweeping legal investigative authority.

We adopted my neighbors dog. She used to be left out by herself and would come around our house looking for food and companionship when the neighbor and his family would take a long weekend to their house in Tahoe. We always took her in and she started to spend more time at our house (to my neighbors annoyance).

One day my wife gets a call from him. He is taking Mizzie (the doggie) to the pound because she is too old. He said we could take the dog if we wanted. My wife called me crying and I said of course we would adopt Mizzie.

She spent her last year at our house. Loved sleeping with my toddler son. Growled at my neighbor whenever she saw him. Finally, after a night were she got herself chicken fajita, and having gone out and chased the commie deer who freeload in my backyard, she came in and went to bed and passed away to the great doggie heaven that night. Great dog. Buried her in the back acre.

Again, sorry about your doggie. They are here for too short a time (as are we all!)...

In the tech industry, things move so fast there is no luxury of looking and back and thinking what we could do better, its innovate, advance and move forward.

I think that this can apply to a much larger scope. Did that last time I looked into the issue, found it was the intake cap on top of the hood whose flange was leaking. I sealed it up using some RTV silicone but it appears that the fix has not held. I've ordered a replacement gasket for that flange-to-body mount but it's 5 days from being delivered unfortunately ... grrr...

Right, and I think it helps to keep one's mind focused on beating it. I don't know enough about how cancer is treated, but I do know people who have specifically beaten this type of cancer. Life is disrupted, and there are setbacks and hardships, but generally, assuming it hasn't spread, he'll come out of it alright.

That, and it's possible all their models showed when they started all this, that Trump was unbeatable this year. So they sent up the sacrificial lamb.

I think the Covids gave them a ray of hope that they COULD win, but by then it was too late to nominate a young, energetic candidate. And really, who would that have been anyway. I can't see anyone who could have pulled it off.

The voters wanted Bernie. Which was never going to work. So here we are.

BUT - Scott Adams hit the nail on the head when he said recently, we really do live in two completely different worlds now, the left and the right. There are Democrats running against them. Loeffler's seat will be up for re-election again in 2022. I assume if she doesn't win 50% this time, and if Collins (the other R in the race) comes in second, then they have the runoff election sometime later.

If she gets to 50%, then she wins, and then has to run again in '22.

This is a special election to replace Johnny Isakson. There are 3 candidates, Loeffler, Doug Collins (both republicans) and a dim, Rafael Warnock.

One of them has to get 50% to win the seat outright.

I think I talked myself into believing it really is so they can film campaign ads.

Like a movie, where people are fighting all sorts of monsters, they have to film it on a green screen first, then fill in the monsters and loud explosions and swelling music later.

If you watch one of those behind the scenes vids for a movie, where they show you how it's filmed, it sure does look silly when the hero is yelling, and flailing at nothing more than a guy holding up a stick with green balls on the end of it.
