Hunter Biden introduced his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to a top executive at a Ukrainian energy firm less than a year before the elder Biden pressured government officials in Ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company, according to emails obtained by The Post. The never-before-revealed meeting is mentioned in a message of appreciation that Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma, allegedly sent Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month. “Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” the email reads. An earlier email from May 2014 also shows Pozharskyi, reportedly Burisma’s No. 3 exec, asking Hunter for “advice on how you could use your influence” on the company’s behalf. The blockbuster correspondence — which flies in the face of Joe Biden’s claim that he’s “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings” — is contained in a massive trove of data recovered from a laptop computer.To news junkies and Trump supporters it sounds damning, but if there is a lesson one can take away from the last dozen years of American political activity, it is that most people are not paying much attention to the mind-numbing details of the various scandals. That's why trying to cover up the latest story was such a mistake. Most Americans may be sick and tired of this sort of stuff, but when Twitter and FaceBook and the rest try to hide it, then America's ears perk up and it becomes curious. It remains to be seen how much of an impact this will have, but it certainly can't help the Biden campaign. Will the Republican Party apparatus treat this as the golden opportunity it so obviously is, or will they meander down the same path they have taken for years, playing the gentleman statesman who graciously loses? Hopefully my suspicion is wrong....

They haven't caught up to the internet world. Guys like them used to be able to get away with this kind of thing, easily. It doesn't work like that anymore. Chanel Rion went to the Ukraine with Rudy last year to interview the various principals in government who were turning over documents to Rudy that were part of the pay to play , fire the prosecutor scheme that Biden was up to his eyeballs in. OANN aired the video of their interviews, in some little cafe type place. OANN has aired an entire series on this with Rion and a couple of other journalists detailing the information they have and the Hunter/Joe Biden timeline. It all corraborates with Schweitzers details that are in his book.
The biggest scandal in all of this is how the FBI, the CIA and the DOJ have tried to not touch this story. The Senate committee can recommend investigations and charges all they want, but if the DOJ does nothing, Biden gets away with this.

When you do a really shady deal for your firm where you buy influence by bribing high-ranking officials, even in Mozambique or something, you don't fucking mention them in written communications with their cutouts. That's the whole reason for the cutout in the first place.

There have been several reports of huge turnout in early voting. And a lot of speculation whether it helps Trump or Biden.
All of the polls I've analyzed have indicated that Biden's best chance to win is in a low turnout election. He doesn't have enthusiasm for him, only against Trump.
High turnout should be a good sign for Trump.

When did you start believing the WaPo was a serious news outlet? Did you believe their unsourced stories about Russian hookers peeing on Trump's bed? Did you believe their unsourced articles on the Steele dossier?
If you actually read stuff by former DOJ prosecutors they say this is no big deal, happens all the time, and there is no indication that the investigation is over. It could also be that it was folded into the Durham investigation just like the Clinton Foundation investigation was.

Both of you guys follow this pretty closely. I was always skeptical that unmasking is (a) a crime at all, (b) provable beyond reasonable doubt -- remember Samantha Powers said it was staff people using her userid and password, and (c) convictable by a DC jury, even if the proof is irrefutable.

There was a version of this in Seattle a couple fo years ago. Seattle voted overwhelmingly to triple the cost of car registration for "infrastructure" projects. And then when the increase kicked in, the local news was running stories about how people were livid that it costs so much to register cars. Probably a wise decision on your part. Unmasking itself is not illegal if it is done by people with the proper authority.
But the information can be used to support a broader investigation if the unmasking helps bolster when the unmasking was done and what other things were done at the time with the information that might be illegal.
The very reason that Bash was even appointed was to offload some of the work from this enormous investigation so that Durham could focus on the underlying potential criminal activity at the core. It might very well be that the unmasking part was finished and the information turned over to Durham for inclusion as part of the bigger story.
But it's all conjecture at this point. None of us know for sure exactly the status but I am not putting all my eggs in a single basket supported by one anonymously sourced article by the Washington Post, one of the leaders of Team Coup.

Sadly, I agree. Probably was a mistake for any of us to have tried to make anything out of it and get hopes up. All anyone involved had to say was that they were Following Established Policies and Procedures, and they get a free pass. saw a documentary about Vegas years ago with interviews with different
celebrities that work there back in the old days. Joan Rivers said that
it was never more safe then when "the boys" were running. (for some
people that is). They wouldn't tolerate anyone messing with guests or
gamblers. She also said that "the boys" were more honest to deal with.
It was you'll work 2 shows for 2 weeks and a hand shake it was a done
deal. Much more honest and up front on things like that than dealing with lawyers.

And they're horribly wrong just so much.
I guess it's easy to get a national poll that comes out virtually even for both major candidates. That's just how it's been for decades now.
But state polls are harder to guess at the right answer.

We probably do have some reliable polls but we have no real way to determine which of the polls are valid.
600-700 LV samples are simply not good enough unless a lead is well outside the margin of error (about +/-4 percent). That even ignores the problem introduced by an erroneous picture of who is likely to vote and systemic non-response bias.

I live in a very blue area in a blue state and no joke, it's dangerous to call yourself a Republican.
You can be an Independent, or even better a Libertarian (because it's assumed you like weed if you come out as Libertarian) but honestly it's better to avoid getting labeled as an "R".
Having an American flag flying in front of your house is now a signal that you are on the right. On our little block there are four BLM signs in front yards, along with the usual virtue-signaling "In This House We Believe..." signs.
We fly an American flag in our front yard and back yard, and they're lit up at night because we never take them down. Others who used to fly the flag took them down months ago, I just went outside and looked and we have the only US flag flying. I'd be lying if I said I'm not concerned. But those flags are staying there until we move. Which can't be soon enough.

I've seen a few houses with American flags and Biden signs - in blue collar neighborhoods. I figure those people are stubborn die-hard, yellow dog Dems that still operate under the delusion that the Ds are for the "little guy" - but they want to show they're as patriotic as anybody.
