Biden and Harris Both Confused About Who Is Running for President and Vice President

Before getting to that: Rush Limbaugh talked about Sundown Joe's sundown syndrome for 20 minutes yesterday.

I've never been prouder.

RUSH: This is Wes in Philadelphia. Great to have you. Welcome.

CALLER: Rush, mega prayers from Philadelphia, PA.

RUSH: Thank you, sir.

CALLER: If you could indulge me one moment to comment on Biden, Plugs, in a debate because I, too, do not believe the debates will happen. I think, as someone who’s seen dementia, he suffers sundown syndrome. So when the lights go down in the evening, his cognitive --

RUSH: Well, now, you’re jumping ahead, but you're exactly right about this. There is something about people who suffer dementia and the 8 o'clock p.m. hour and later. There’s something about it, their functionality decreases. So that was gonna be one of the two support stories I was going to use.

And you’ve come in here as a caller, attempted to horn in on what I was gonna make a point about by going off topic about what you promised -- you wanted to talk about the absurdity of masks on the sideline. Now you come and steal my thunder on Plugs not doing a debate. But I'll forgive you because I'm a nice guy and actually you're right, so I can't be critical of you.

...

Speaking of -- and I was just joking with the caller accusing him of stealing from me, folks. He knew it. He understood it. That's why he was laughing along with me. But he is right. He is right that people who suffer from dementia, there is something about the 8 o'clock hour, 8 p.m. and later, that makes the circumstance deteriorate and worsen. And when you learn that, when you are first exposed to it and you read about it, you yourself would conclude, there can't possibly be any debates. There just can't.

Now, I have that story, and I have another one here. And this is in the Spectator.org. It's by Rob Crisell. The headline: "Why Biden Will Withdraw From the Debates -- It's the only way for Joe’s handlers to save him from himself." It's the American Spectator. Now, the aspect of this I was referring to is, in addition to the points made in this story, it’s called sundowning. People with dementia often, not always, but often get more confused and nervous in the late afternoon and the evening. If you have had someone in your family suffer from dementia or Parkinson's -- not Parkinson's, but Alzheimer's to one degree or another, you probably have seen this.

You've seen it with family members who had dementia. That as the day went on, as the afternoon grew later and then shifted into evening, you could see an obvious deterioration in the mental acuity of the family member who had dementia or Alzheimer's. I know people who have seen it with their own parents and grandparents.

You'd have an average day where you would think, "Hey, grandma doing great today. Grandma’s really cool today." And families are filled with hope when those days happen, and then on those same days, when you get to sundown and later, the deterioration picks up, and you can see it, and you get depressed because earlier in the day you thought, "Okay. This is gonna be a good day."

I have heard Jill Biden say that her husband Joe was up early every morning on the phone with all sorts of people. And she says this as a way, "Hey, don’t believe this stuff about Joe having mental problems. He's up, he's up every morning early, he’s talking to countless people on the phone." That’s not the time to look. You need to look at Joe Biden at sunset.

In fact, on Saturday Joe Biden sent word to the media that he was shutting the campaign down at 9 a.m. 9 a.m. Saturday, the word went out that the campaign was shutting down. Here it is. A reporter for NBC-MSNBC got word from the Biden camp-- the reporter’s name is Jake Sherman -- that they put a lid on the campaign Saturday at 9 a.m. So a Saturday, weeks away from the election, Biden shut down the campaign at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

So that prompted a CBS White House reporter named Kathryn Watson to tweet that she couldn't understand why Joe was not out proving that he can outwork Trump. Kathryn Watson's tweet: "Not sure why Biden isn’t doing more to show that he can outwork Trump." That's after she saw the Jake Sherman tweet claiming a lid has been called in Wilmington, meaning Biden's not expected to have any public events today. Campaign is shut down. She tweets that she doesn’t understand why Biden's not out doing more to show that he can outwork Trump.

She doesn't have a clue, folks, just to show you the Drive-By Media may not even understand the depths of the problem. You shut the campaign down at 9 a.m. on a Saturday, well, let's see the campaign at 5 p.m. Let's see the campaign at 7 p.m. This is when debates are gonna happen. And I'm just telling you. Sundowning can be controlled -- you know, you minimize symptoms somehow, but being on a stage with bright lights, clapping, pressure, that's not among the ways that you minimize the symptoms.

I've been looking at this. I can’t recall when Biden is out in public at night, save for the Democrat debates which were way earlier this year. You gotta go back to January, February, March, and even then there weren't very many. But of recent campaign appearances, I can't recall, I can't remember Biden out in public at night. And certainly not after a full day of negotiating world peace and having a helicopter ride to the hangar, two-hour speech and banter with 15,000 people and then going out and doing a debate. I haven't seen Biden engage in that kind of rigorous schedule.

Is Joe Biden Sundowning?

You be the judge:

Now, on to the confusion:

First, Biden thinks it's 2012, and that he's campaigning for Obama's second term.

Next, Kamala Harris is confused and thinks she's running to be president.

But maybe she's not confused. Maybe she sees Biden's rapid deterioration up close and knows for a fact that the position she's really running for is president.

Bonus confusion:

And there's the game.

She knows that she'll be president if Biden wins.

And yet no one gives a shit about her. She does campaign stops with a dozen people and it never gets reported on. Ana Navarro is more excited about Kamala than anyone else.

The focus is on Joe, like it was always going to be, and Joe is just getting worse daily.

If Democrats chose Kamala because they were convinced they had won already and they could just put whomever they wanted in, it was a bad bet.

11 The idea that *Harris* could "outwork Trump" is laughable. Hell, the idea that there are many people at all who could outwork Trump is borderline absurd. The idea of Biden doing it, though, is preposterous in the extreme.

Trump is a dynamo. His energy is unreal. I am less than half his age and I definitely couldn't keep his insane pace.

If Biden attends the debates, any hope of making any inroads with independent voters is shot.

Their only hope is that their models of massive Democratic turnout are correct.

73 Unreal. Biden is never going to debate. He can't function for an extended time, especially at night.

Joe Rogan has offered to moderate a four-hour long debate between the two. No audience, no nothing, just those three. Trump has already tweeted acceptance.

Certainly that's all in jest, because we know Joe can't possibly accept.

If the debates are held, the "moderators" will interrupt _every_ sentence Trump speaks, for a "fact check."

They will NOT interrupt Biden, except to FEED HIM THE LINES he forgot.

We're all just reading tea leaves at this point. Nobody really knows what the DNC is planning, but they can still kill off the old guy before the election, or if he gets elected, before the inauguration.

Harris is clearly believing she's going to be President, that this election is going to install her in the White House.

Either that, or these two nimrods are meant to go out there and take one for the team. So the DNC can start planning 2022 and 2024 elections, based on a second illegitimate Orangemanbad term.

Hard the believe that they are not discussing the possibility of him dropping out, in which case, they'd have to have a new campaign ready to go. Harris as the replacement is not set, but being ambitious, she'd have a plan in place to make it happen.

I just moved my mother from an assisted living to a memory-care nursing home, she's in the later stages of dementia. I had to pay for a nurse to come in and take care of my mom AT the facility, because she was getting so bad at night.

What I read in the log made my hair stand on end. It's literally like a switch, and some sort of demon comes out at night. I won't get into details, but think of the worst possible thing and that's it. We've all seen this behavior in Joe, it's too familiar.

I have no doubt they've been giving him a little juice up before he has to have these engagements, which are incredibly rare for an election year. I can't believe we're voting for President in a few weeks.

Whatever they've been giving Joe seems to have a 35-40 minute span, at which point he begins to crash. Hard. If he's doing this at night, in front of bright lights instead of a dimly lit basement - well things will get very interesting indeed around the 60 minute mark.

I don't see how he moves forward on this. It's tantamount to blowing his brains out on national TV.

Back in a former life, I worked in hematology. We did a study measuring the volume of ed and white blood sells in your system, with a emphasis on the time of day.
It seems that your blood cells, which originate in the bone marrow of your bones, return to your bone marrow at night. Something like 40-60% of RBCs return while 60-85% of WBC return.
One thing that was also interesting was that the phase of the cycle, whether it started early in the evening or much later, determined if you were a "Morning person" or a "night person".
Apparently, the phenomenon continues into old age, but the effects get worse.

146 >>But maybe she's not confused. Maybe she sees Biden's rapid deterioration up close and knows for a fact that the position she's really running for is president.

I would not be surprised if Harris negotiated the details of the hand-off before accepting his offer to run as his VP.

Knowing that other forces in the party might try to put someone else at the top of the ticket should Biden stroke out before election day, she would lock down her succession.

There never will be a Biden administration. Presuming the Dem ticket wins, she will take out during the gap between the election and the inauguration, or maybe a few week after, even if they have ti inauguration a clearly brain-addled man as the nation watches, just to legitimize her reign.

McCain still lost, so yeah, I don't think Palin mattered.

You'll always find pockets of people who voted for the VP who would have otherwise voted for the POTUS candidate, but their numbers are small.

It mattered more when POTUS was in charge of patronage and different states needed representation in the administration to help that. "We need someone from New York to guarantee the NYC post office."

This wasn't dementia, exactly, but it was super-weird and interesting.

My old man suffered a severe head trauma maybe 15 years ago. Bad. Skull split wide open like a busted watermelon.

He was in a coma for several weeks, and once he woke up, he slowly made a full recovery.

But during the initial several weeks, it was a process while his brain rewired itself in chronological progression.

When he first woke up it was about 1971, to him. Re regained about a decade a week until he was back at the Current Year.

Maybe Joe is doing in this in reverse.

But yeah, sundowners ... I guess the brain shuts down, body thinks it is time to go to the roost for the night. But even if it is still light, fatigue probably also contributes to the mental shutdown. The mind is not functioning properly, so every action produces anxiety, trying to put order to things that the brain is not processing properly.

Cognitive dissonance is bad enough as the left lives in constant self betrayal (living the lie, projecting it on others) ... but when even normal thoughts are dissonant since the brain is not correctly processing ... multiplies the degree of difficulty.

If they had gone with someone like CO senator Bennett who manages to come off as sane and moderate (perhaps he even is, but he still toes the party line when they ask) the election could be a lot more iffy and the Clintons and Obamas handlers would be jockeying over who could get more of their stooges into the administration if he won; he wouldn't have his own pool of folks.

But still, I cant help but be nervous that the DNC might cheat enough to get senile and evil Biden elected, with weaksauce Harris as the VP to pick up the reins if/when they shove Joe off a cliff.

274 Old thoughts on Sci-Am, and other monthly media publications (along with media in general) - why did it all go so radically left? I suspect it was the last stage in the death of print media in general.

Magazines like SciAm, who's revenues were subscription based, quit making a profit long ago. Before the internet, a magazine like that was a handy way to keep up with new developments, after the internet? No longer necessary.

So what happened is that all of the serious businessmen saw the writing on the wall and got out of that business. They saw that it was a permanent money loser - so who bought them out? Rich Ideologues, that's who. Men for whom running a magazine is just what they do with the spare change they find in their seat cushions that month. Men like Bezos and Zucker and Carlos Slim, who have money and who want to buy influence.

I'm still convinced Hillary was gettinng prompts from a screen on her podium. The was video of a little white are (screen like) turning on after they were introduced, some device was then removed from under the podium when they were done ...

more evidence in a second debate, and analysis of the time she was looking down at her podium (with focus) showed it was time for reading, not just glancing, and not at her notes.

Anyway, IF they even have a debate, surely they will try to give Joe prompts ... somehow. OR they realize even that would just confuse him, and find a way out of debates (or juice him up on barbiturates or whatever, which is risky, but would maybe help)

370 My wife had dementia for 3 years before she passed away. So I take the subject very seriously. If Joe is having cognitive issues it's up to his family to step in and help him or prevent him from doing harm to himself. In this case it's harm to our country if his family is allowing him to represent himself as a viable, healthy candidate for President. The quest for power causes people and families to do unwise things. We'll see how this plays out.

I was smiling and laughing. "We've got this," I said. "Don't even worry about it. It's already won." I never even really considered a possible Hillary win after Trump mopped up Cruz in Indiana. That was it, done, end of story. He won the election on that night.
Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice at September 15, 2020 12:55 PM (x73LH)

When this ends you'll see it was never even worth worrying about. The worst part about this year and the next four is how serious the opposition is about never letting us enjoy life again if they can help it. That worries me. It's like being in a horror movie and we can't get out.

But Trump vs Biden or even their best candidate was never going to be an issue.

They have thrown everything and the kitchen sink at him and maybe that will make it look closer than it is. But that's all it will do.

SciAmer has been political at least since the 1960s when they were pushing strategic arms control.

The destruction of 'science' as I think of it began to decline with the establishment of the Union of Concerned Scientists, which IIRC was established to be an anti-nuclear group.

Once they did their nonsense, as well as that execrable 'Doomsday Clock', the decline was well and truly in effect.

The Scientific American statement just puts a period on that sentence.

So that prompted a CBS White House reporter named Kathryn Watson to tweet that she couldn't understand why Joe was not out proving that he can outwork Trump.

Kathryn Watson's tweet: "Not sure why Biden isn't doing more to show that he can outwork Trump."

That's after she saw the Jake Sherman tweet claiming a lid has been called in Wilmington, meaning Biden's not expected to have any public events today. Campaign is shut down. She tweets that she doesn't understand why Biden's not out doing more to show that he can outwork Trump.

She doesn't have a clue, folks, just to show you the Drive-By Media may not even understand the depths of the problem.

How is that even possible? Are journalists really *that* completely clueless? How can *anyone* -- especially those following the campaign as closely as they do since it's their *job* -- not see his mental health deterioration?!?

I mean, I know journalists are fucking ignorant idiots, but even an idiot can see with their own eyes a person's mental deterioration.

Old News: "The 1839-1844 Regulator-Moderator War, or the Shelby County War, was a nineteenth century feud in East Texas during the Republic of Texas years between rival factions. The war started out as a dispute of land ownership before becoming a violent conflict for control of the local economy. Soon raids, livestock thievery, and murders erupted in the region and took the lives of over 40 men."

394 Is anyone else glued to the Peace signing ceremony? I'm amazed at our President. Energy independence has been a campaign promise forever by every candidate. It means we can no longer be held hostage over oil nor do we have to go to war to protect our oil interests. That was amazing enough but Trump wasn't done. The success of this Peace accord is breathtaking in what it will mean for the future for the whole world. Just amazing. Trump doesn't just deserve the Nobel Prize, he absolutely deserves the Presidency.

Sun downing is real. We had to put new locks on all of the doors and a gate in the hallway where my fathers room was located when we found him in the backyard heading for the woods. He would not know where he was, he couldn't tell me his own name. During the day he was pretty good, could carry on a conversation but at night he was agitated, restless and not coherent.

Posted by: Tired at September 15, 2020 12:33 PM (xAmH9)
Why? 2 reasons.
1.The mob needs a big serving of taxpayer funds from everyone, if they're going to have enough left to fund the Democrats in the government.
2. Like the road crews, the education racket does patch a lot of potholes, even while letting all the nations bridges rot and collapse. You are supporting a planned slow collapse instead of keeping your money and having a fast apocalypse.

l'd be happy if the only 'yutes whose life plan was "Bonk bonk on the head" were in bad ST:TOS episodes, but that hope has been fading these last few months.

The case of a POTUS-elect resigning before inauguration is not addressed in the Constitution. The 20th Amendment addresses death of a POTUS-elect before inauguration. VPOTUS-elect becomes POTUS-elect. Anyway, I am sure Kamala will become President if Joe can't be inaugurated for any reason.

404 I predicted a long time ago that Biden was to be the lightening rod for Trump's attacks until October: when he drops out.

All the personalized attacks on Slow Joe will then be the political equivalent of a rope a dope. Harris will have already "debated" Pence and "no more time for more debates" so Harris never goes head to head with Trump.

Then a pure media campaign to the election.

My take away is Trump better carefully allocate his time and messaging to making the case about the choice America faces as to its history, values and future. The ad hominum stuff, however valid, may all just be beside the point come November.
