To Boldly Go Where No ONT Has Gone Before

So this week (Tuesday to be precise) was the 54th anniversary of the debut of Star Trek (The Man Trap). In many ways the show was quite prescient.

Cali NG2.jpg

God bless those Cali NG rotorheads. Reportedly, CalFire was telling the trapped people to wade into a local pond to escape the flames. Yes, that's right, while they were screaming for rescue, Cal officials actually told them to go jump in a lake. The National Guard said “Not today, fellows”. Heroes one and all.

Don’t Tell A Soul: These Secrets Should Never Have Come Out

Plot Twist: These Surprise Endings Made Our Jaws Hit The Floor

My uncle works for dispatch in my town and he recently told my family of the weirdest call he’s ever gotten. He says that he had received a call from a landline one night and when he answered it there was only static on the other end. This happened two more times. Finally, he calls a squad to go check out the address from the caller ID.

When the authorities got there and walked into the house they immediately saw that there was a dead body. The person had been dead for five months. The craziest part about it was that there was no electricity or any other utility working. So there is no way they should have been able to get those calls into dispatch. But if they hadn’t, who knows how long that person’s body would have stayed there.

Sad Story

A pandemic, a motel without power and a potentially terrifying glimpse of Orlando’s future

I weep for the fact that this is all self-inflicted, just so the entrenched political class can hang onto power. Not to say that there aren't always people hanging on the fringes of society, no, but this pandemic panic and lockdowns have certainly created more of them, while at the same time making it that much harder for down and out folks to work their way back in to productive society.

Unexpected

Osama bin Laden’s niece says only Trump can prevent another 9/11

Yes, she's his niece, but it's an extended family and it's not clear if she ever met him. What jumped out at me was this quote:

“I have not had a single bad experience with Americans despite the name that I carry. On the contrary, I was overwhelmed by their kindness and understanding

If Noor Bin Laden can travel to America and come away talking about how kind everyone is, then you know this so-called “systemic racism” is a load of crap.

Are You Ready For Some Football?

The NFL season starts tonight. So far I haven't bothered to turn on the game when in years past I would have been glued to the set. I am playing fantasy football this year, but only in the keeper league that I've been part of for 20 years. I would have played in the AoS league, but the commish is AWOL and we couldn't get it going. I'm just not feeling much of an urge to watch, what with all the BLM crap. Maybe it'll be different when the Ravens play Sunday, I dunno. Does anyone know if players knelt for the anthem and if so, how did the crowd react?

52 "The More You Know"

excerpt:
"Upon becoming Chancellor of Germany, Adolf Hitler had appointed Göring as Minister of the Interior for the State of Prussia, Germany's biggest and most important state, which controlled two thirds of the country, including the capital, Berlin, and the big industrial centers. As Minister of the Interior, Göring thereby had control of the police.

The first thing he did was to prohibit regular uniformed police from interfering with Nazi Brownshirts out in the streets. This meant that innocent German citizens had no one to turn to as they were being beaten up by rowdy young storm troopers drunk with their newfound power and quite often drunk on beer. These young Nazi toughs took full advantage of police leniency to loot shops at will and terrorize Jews or anyone else unfortunate enough to be caught in the wrong place at the wrong time."

From 2004 to 2007 I was at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, which was the mobilization and demobilization point for most of the Army Guard and Reserve units that deployed to the sandbox. In most cases, the units were civilians in uniforms when they deployed, but when they came back, they were soldiers. I presume some of them are still around from that era.

That was always the advantage of the old style copper last mile POTS service, the phones would work doing a power outage.

I finally switched the folks over to Charter (Spectrum they want to be called now) voice, and that was one thing they didn't like, but they have cell phones, which can be used in a pinch.

They offer a battery back-up powered modem for the voice service, which, as long as the cable system is still working, will give you a phone (as long as the battery lasts). But they want to charge for it.

You could run it off a UPS.

83 Cal Fire has just announced plans to sue the California National Guard for "making them look bad!". They are demanding 20 million parachutes and 2 dollars and to be flown to Cuba so they can join the Glorious Revolution against...uh...whatever it is they are rebelling against.

The California National Guard is suggesting that CalFire put on their SCBA when fighting forest fires on land that also contains pot farms.

Next you'll tell me that the majority of the people either looked away or cheered it on.

Oh, and then you'll add that some folks had to wear some kind of badge or marker to reveal them as Others.

Oh, and I suppose the press was complicit in all of this. Harumph!

107 Hi Diogenes.
No, this was just outside Tacoma Water watershed. As places were abandoned and sometimes before, TWP would go in and burn the buildings down.
The ghost town is Lester, just below Stampede Pass. Gone now. The water co tried to keep the forest rangers out with ever larger gates. It's a mixed use area. The rangers responded by ripping the gates out or, once, by dynamiting the gate. An accomodation was reached. They even blew up a hot spring in there to keep people out. This out along the upper Green River.

115 Flyover, history echoing, if not rhyming.

Back then in Germany and other Euro countries, "political police" were fairly common. Kind of an odd bird, nothing like the NKVD or the Gestapo or the Kempetai, at least in terms of lethality/brutality/etc. But many states had laws on the books involving what Americans (well, go back a few decades, when it was most Americans) would consider protected political behavior.

The eventual head of the Gestapo, Mueller (no, the other one) was himself from this background, and while he was anti-commie, which stood him in good stead and meant he'd rubbed elbows with some of Adolf's boys in the past, he wasn't even a party member until after he started rising in the power structure.

And many of the Gestapo guys were regular police by background, also not always very political.

157 OK, here's a fairly easy prediction.

Morbidity and especially mortality of C19 among health people under 20 is essentially zero. World-wide.

That ain't gonna change, even if C19 has a seasonal return in late fall, or become endemic at some level.

So these idiotic "educators" and school boards (and the pathetic parents who put up with it, or are just as idiotic) will keep schools closed until the election (not kidding, in LA, the freak cretin health director pegged re-opening to the election) or even after.

No kids will have died.

Then they'll re-open after the new year.

And no kids will die.

And if this pointed out to them, there will be immediate recourse to absurd unscientific make-believe crap like "mitigation worked!".

One thing about the country today. There is no learning curve. None. Not for most anyway.

If ten or twenty million Californians just said fuckit', rebelled and disobeyed, there wouldn't be a damn thing cockbreath boy could do about it.

And if even a million marched on Sacramento, it would be Game Over to that administration.

I should talk though. Even my fellow Texicans have wilted like unwatered lilies under the Goobantorian Edicts.

We should start with mass mask-burnings. And move right on to fully open restaurants, bars and everything else.

And if the Texas Alcohol Control Board "suspends" a license? Work some black market magic into the wholesale suppliers distribution chain.

It'll only work if everyone rebels at every level.

But what a Grand and Glorious thing it would be!

170 Well, now there are festivities in Colombia.

In an eerie parallel - but apparently a misleading one - the Floyd incident, Bogota police kilt a lawyer by tasing him and *kneeling on his back*, repeatedly (reportedly he even cried out "I can't breathe" - not making this up).

So, possibly, an ACTUAL case of police abuse or gross incompetence.

Oh - the man was in trouble for violating idiotic C19 curfew rules. Wonderful!

So, attacks on police stations ensued, cops shooting "protesters" (not aware of any looting, haven't seen that much info).

Now, it's Colombia. So, an excitability factor must be included. As well as a police incompetence/corruption factor. But anyway.

They wouldn't deliver to our PO box, so they'll drive that big ol' delivery truck miles out into the country to bring me a little battery. Hope the driver enjoys the scenery.

Ordered Sep 2. Shipped Sep 6. Delivery was supposed to be today. Checked on the delivery status this morning. Still to be delivered today, it said, "before 9pm." So we were home all day (anyway), waiting.

By afternoon it was not on the truck. Had traveled to Georgia, Kentucky, and was in Oklahoma City. Delivery rescheduled to sometime between the 11th and the 13th!

Just checked - it's now in Tulsa.

224 The brainless douche Dan Wetzel of Yahoo sports:

Some boos from the COVID-downsized crowd at Arrowhead Stadium were audible.

The fact that players standing together during a moment of silence would cause such a reaction from some of the sport's most devoted fans is one reason the NFL has seemingly stopped worrying about everyone's opinions.

It was a few seconds of respectful demonstration.

And yet still, some objected to it occurring, objected to the quiet views and simple actions of no less than Mahomes and his teammates, who had delivered the city a long-awaited Super Bowl. If that isn't a reasonable or peaceful enough of a "protest" then it's not what the players are doing, but the fact they are doing anything at all.

If nothing else, the scene Thursday, which is expected to play out in various ways across the league this weekend and beyond, is a sign that the NFL is no longer afraid of the backlash from disillusioned fans or Trump himself.

This is how it's going to be, the NFL is saying. Take it or leave it.

Its supposed to be part of a study about how FB can affect politics.

So the only way that works, is if they pay people on ONE side, not to post, then look at the results.

ergo, they will pay CONSERVATIVES not to post on their site until after the election.

Think about that.

They just announced it on an ad during the game.

"For anyone who wants to talk about race, it can be terrifying. They're afraid they'll be called 'racist', they're afraid they'll offend someone..."

First black woman again: "It's an opportunity to have those open conversations without fear of getting it wrong."

No, I will talk with anyone, and the discussion from my side will be fact-based, not emotion-based. You want brave? Tell the truth, and back it with facts. Not emotions.

I fear we are too far down the road of false reality to survive as a civilization. I didn't think that even 6 months ago, but do now.

309 A company called Astra was going to launch a small orbital rocket tonight, after multiple failed attempts. They went and painted "Black Lives Matter" somewhere on their launch stand and proudly tweeted it, then the space people I usually check on dutifully retweeted it. Thanks a lot, now you have managed to smear your poop on spaceflight. Freaking idiots.

Tonight's attempt was scrubbed... yet again. Evidently making a working rocket is not a priority for them.

More smoke today but not bad.
Some friends stopped by on their way back from travel trailing it in MT and WY.

What have we learned from 9/11?

Sorry, gotta get bitter and dark:

We learned that we need to show The Religion of Peace how peaceful we are by allowing more of them in in the last 19 years than in our entire history hitherto.

We learned that security at the actual borders of Western nations is less important than hardening streets, airports, and marketplaces with bollards, getting handsy with grandmoms and nuns at security checkpoints, and making law-abiding citizens have to pack liquids in zippable bags.

It appears to me that we've learnt jack-shit.

The genetic sequencing data is probably reliable. The epidemiological data is far less reliable. The cause-of-death data is worthless. This is where the left gets so lost in their own BS that they don't even know what they're saying anymore. So they're claiming, using their own numbers, that a disease that causes 1 death for every 250,000 cases is something we should all be terrified of? And they don't want to be told, well that's all bullshit and this ain't a world where you get what you want just because you wish hard enough.

Politically, of course it's probably a winning strategy to give the people the old ya-ya-ya and then later say "hey, I tried, what can I do???" But it's still bullshit.

Agreed, the only reason I saw that was because KING5 was showing the game.

I have to say, the game was garbage anyway, but I had no emotion of any kind watching this game, mostly TV noise in the background.

In previous years, I could always get up to watch a game, even if it is 2 teams I know little about.

Next year, supposedly a new TV contract goes into effect that doubles TV revenue. It was negotiated over a year ago, and wonder how it will change after a year of empty stadiums and poor ratings. It won't be what they originally thought it was.

459 Speaking of shoes, I went into Red Deer today, and did some shopping. Figured I would look for a new pair of shoes. Wanted some slip-ons, light weight, but supportive, and not made in Chynah.

So I went into a store I won't name, but they peddle work-wear, and casual wear, mostly. There were plenty of shoes on display, many marked SALE!, but no prices on the sale shoes. Regular price shoes were priced. How the Hell do you price compare when prices are not marked? A sales critter shows up (breaks surface and blows would work, too). Female, six inches shorter than me, and outweighs me by at least 50 pounds, and I am quite fluffy. Tats, of course. "Can I help you?" "Well, I'd like to price-compare some shoes here, but all the sale-priced shoes don't have prices marked." "They didn't send us the right price tags." "Have you ever heard of a Sharpie marker?" If you build in 1.48 scale:

F9F-2 Panther - Monogram and Trumpeter make kits of it. Hobby Craft makes an F9F-3. Trumpeter also makes an F9F-2P.

F2H-2 Banshee - Either the ancient Testors/Hawk kit or the one from Kitty Hawk that can be built as a -2 or a -2P.

And they don't want to be told, well that's all bullshit and this ain't a world where you get what you want just because you wish hard enough."

Agree 1000%. That common desire for medical miracles drives the demand for medical quackery, and also the media's long-standing predilection for pumping out baseless unscientific medical fad clickbait.

Don't discount the 1% possibility of the vax proving to not only stop Covid, but at least severely blunt, if not outright cure, the Common Cold. Both of course, are Corona viruses.

Due to the opposite of the Trump Curse, that afflicts those who attack him, his policies, practices and tweets.

Like unto his Middle Eastern successes, I would howl with laughter if the multiple trials pushing towards a cure, actually exceeded their own efforts and thwarted one of mankind's most oft maligned maladies.

But if they hadn't, who knows how long that person's body would have stayed there.

Meh. Someone felt bad that someone they knew died and hadn't been found yet.

So they made a call to dispatch, spoofing the Caller ID. And said nothing to leave no voiceprint. And the cops figured that part out in 5 minutes.

I think that is ungenerous. Insom reminds me of my Mammaw. Warm and big hearted, but could be given to being... obsessively negative under the right circumstances. I do not think either is a case of trying to be manipulative, but rather on the one hand trying to exert some control over that which they have no control over, as well as looking for reassurance.

You could look at that as manipulative, but a hell of a lot of social interactions can be looked at as manipulative if you want to do so.

Probably not. A lot of people use online commenting to fill the void and work through problems like going to the village wiseman, shaman, priest or therapist used to fill.

The tough love approach can work in some cases, but in this one, I think just not indulging some of the worst excesses is probably the best way to go. There is a good dude there, able to display wit and intelligence on a variety of topics- that is where he shines. But he has hot button topics that will send him into a tail spin.

I think an encouraging step was that he had booked a flight to the TXMOME. THAT I think could be really good for him. Break into meatspace, as it were.

534 I think he's the guy who played footsie with Michael Obama at John "Reverse Ace" McCain's funeral, Part 3 of 65536.

In retrospect, W's greatest mistake was not cleansing the "intelligence community" with fire after the intelligence fiasco of 9/11 - mass firings, prosecutions when appropriate, and reshaping the bloated intelligence bureaucracy into something that was actually functional.

The fact that no one was fired after 9/11 led the "intelligence community" to think that it was bulletproof, and led directly to an attempted and ongoing coup against the President of the United States, because they were so arrogant that they thought that they could get away with it.

This goes to the core. It IS the Core.

The intel failures around 9/11 should have put some highly placed senior operatives up against the wall.

No trial, no due process, no recognition of their "sacrifice" and SEVERE warnings to their families to shut up, evermore.

And yes.

Bill them for the price of the bullets.

CATASTROPHIC National Security Intel Failures should ALWAYS come with a frightful price.

Always.

545 Here's the letter, with all possibly personal stuff elided. Many of you have probably already offered some of this advice. Number 8 is, I am proud to claim, probably a novel idea of my own.

...

2) Count your blessings. Pray for a few of the billions of people far less fortunate than you; it will make your own problems less burdensome, even if you don't believe your prayers are heard.

...

5) I'm so very glad that you found a job! Now use that as a springboard to move to a career that doesn't drive you crazier. I was an office programming drone for 35 years. It is a soul-crushing occupation. Now retired, I found a part-time job doing manual labor for an elderly rural resident: clearing brush, building fences, digging post-holes, hauling junk, repairing lawn tractors, etc. Manual labor can be more satisfying and confidence-building than any office or remote-drone job. Manual labor co-workers can be far more tolerable and far happier people than office co-workers. Labor also forces physical exercise.

6) Declutter. Get rid of every possession you don't REALLY use. Don't stop until you can see the walls again. Have you got a huge library of books that you know you'll never read? Pitch them, because they are an unneeded source of guilt. Any book you decide you really want to read or reread, it's either on the internet or at the library, for free. Same goes for movies and music. In general, resist the urge to collect things other than financial assets.

...

If you listen to music, try choosing only music you've never heard before. (A former punker, nearly deaf, I now prefer classical, jazz, and sacred music, selected from the 99.999% of composers and pieces I never even knew of before. It's all online now, including the most obscure overlooked stuff.) My point is: familiar music only brings back the same old familiar feelings and memories.

546 The intel failures around 9/11 should have put some highly placed senior operatives up against the wall.

With "counterterrorism specialist" and deputy executive director of the CIA in 2001, John Brennan, first in line.

He managed to completely boot 9/11, was made head of the CIA, and then got all our spies in China executed due to poor communications security. Streling record.

Further.

I've explored his mind "at law". I'm one of the better laymen in this regard, being asked only yesterday by my local attorney, why I was not his partner at law.

Insomniac has IT going on. And is only frustrated by a previous life of restraint and restriction.

Soon as he Soars, he's going to go Supersonic.

555 I think that is ungenerous. Insom reminds me of my
Mammaw. Warm and big hearted, but could be given to being... obsessively
negative under the right circumstances. I do not think either is a case
of trying to be manipulative, but rather on the one hand trying to
exert some control over that which they have no control over, as well as
looking for reassurance.

You could look at that as manipulative, but a hell of a lot of
social interactions can be looked at as manipulative if you want to do
so.

Posted by: Aetius451AD at September 11, 2020 12:55 AM (A5zUN)

Bingo. I have a friend who was a carbon copy of Insom. Went through all the same shit, and they are pretty indistinguishable from each other in their choice of words, descriptions, complaints, events, questions, regrets etc etc. Its like they wear each other's meat suit, except my friend died last summer. He went through hell. He was on top of the world, and in a blink of an eye homeless talking to trees in the woods, and I'm dead serious. He went through the mill. In the end he gave up. He wasn't a control freak, was a very down to earth dude, but spent the rest of his days trying to make sense of what happened. The problem was his whole life seemed to be planned by everybody but him, and he followed their blue print, did it all right, did what was expected, and life put a shotgun in his ass and pulled the trigger. He felt his life was a lie, everything he was told was a lie, he marched to their beat, and when it fell apart they all turned their back on him. Its not a good place to be. It's why I worry about insom.

564 First of all, that kind of thing is not caused by marijuana (glancing at a plate of onion- and garlic-season fries) but by psychedelics, whether more likely to be lysergamides or tryptamines depending on the user. Stoners want an ice cream sandwich really bad but they know that's not an ice cream sandwich. The stoner will order the extra large and family reunion-size it, but that's just overconfidence. Here is a guaranteed bet:

After the fire season is over on the Left Coast, no government agency or official will put out a bid to cut down those dead trees and turn them into lumber products. Which will greatly decrease fire danger in future years.

Lumber people have told me those trees need to be harvested within 2 years, or they will be worthless rot. And a great source for various bug infestations. "But the dying trees are natural! and removing trees will starve the soil!"

There will still be all the stumps, and lots of branches to decompose into the soil, idiots.

No, bet on wasting billions of dead trees and supporting bug infestations.

Alfred Hitchcock was a riot. MeTV runs his old shows, and he always started out with an introduction where he did some very dry humor, and usually got digs in at sponsors and commercials.

This time he appears with a monkey at a typewriter, riffing off all the old monkeys typing would eventually type out Shakespeare thing. He says that's not true, they haven't produced any classics yet...but they do make acceptable material for the show.

He points at the monkey and says this one just types gibberish, but that's only because he hasn't mastered the typewriter yet, but has a flare for dialog nonetheless. Then he says we're now going to sample his work, which is the upcoming commercial.

At the ending, he's back with the monkey and announces he just isn't cut out for writing because he just can't get the hang of the typewriter. So they made him a producer. Which they had to, because his uncle owns the studio.

Another thing just hit me. Mike Connors would've been perfect and a hoot in the vein of Airplane. Zucker, et all got Robert Stack, Lloyd Bridges, and Leslie Nielsen to play their typical serious tough-guy personas obliviously to the absurdist stuff they were doing. It was brilliant and made for a true classic.

Mike Connors would've been perfect for that as well. Play the lunacy as dead serious Mannix. It would've been a hoot.

I pray there will be a solution to this MLIA. There are no "easy" times. But I can't even remember when my loved one could walk down the stairs. I take that back, I recall when people said they would never ride in a car with him again. I recall having to take his keys away.
I mentioned this before but you should never take all their keys away. Take the car key sure, but never all of them. It is an infantilizing move and doesn't help at all. You have to be strategic.

The point is if you have experienced it up close for many years, it is easy to notice. Not everyone has it because they forget what the walked into a room to get.

619 Its weakness to show hate

Posted by: Menack at September 11, 2020 04:03 AM (buTO7)

The majority of hate comes from the left. They say they are against hate, but they mean those who are not in on the revolution. In America, you get to chose your own views and until now no one would dare call you hateful.
When I see a sign saying they are against generic hate. I know they are ultra lefties and they assume anyone who thinks differently is hate filled.

Well, my little story from that Day of Days tells a slightly different tale.

I worked in lower mid-town Manhattan, 17th St. and 5th Ave. Watched the towers collapse right in front of my eyes. So I'm standing in the middle of 5th Ave, with a crowd of people watching the horror unfold and this young black kid, around 20-25, tells me, 'It's all our fault, my man'. I tell him to politely fuck off. He goes into an anti-American rant. I start to ball my fists getting ready to slug the asshole. A fireman from the firehouse around the corner on 18th St. (who I didn't know was there) whispers in my ear, 'I heard what he said and I've got your back.' Didn't knock the ever-loving shit out him though I have regretted that decision ever since.

No, not everyone was united that day as I ran into my first America-hating moonbat as the Towers fell.

the key is to give them solace and keep their mind engaged. I hate to think of those who are left alone and with no structure. I know that it not you case but for many it is I fear.

This might be the worst disease that ever came down the pike because of the damage it does to the aggrieved and those caring for them. You have to relearn everything. The Socratic Method has to be thrown out completely. The only real option I know of is to give them solace.

While I wasn't downtown dealing with a toxic dust cloud, or worse, I have stories from that day.

My hatred has never left, so hatred is not a weakness. Hatred, done right, is steel in one's spine.

One more little story I'll relate, as I don't want to bore people, was my trying to reach my parents in Virginia. I could not get a line through to Norfolk. So I decided to call my Aunt in West By God to get my Cuz' work number. I got through to her and got through to my Cuz. The person who picked up the work phone asked who I was when I asked for John. All I heard was an 'Oh, shit! John, it's your cousin in New York City!' I had my Cuz call my Mom to let her know I was okay.

At one point after the Towers fell, some jets came screaming down 5th Ave, not very high. People around me on the street literally started to panic. Growing up in Norfolk, I knew they were ours and told those around me that and to not worry. But I could see the panic in their eyes at the sound of those air cover jets flying overhead.

i am not expert but I am an expert in what I experienced. We actually used child learning stuff like reading basic stuff and identifying it for some time. If they could do it, good, it is better than lying in bed or looking at the wall.

But the thing I know for sure doesn't work is trying to reason with an Alzheimer's patient, at for sure if the disease had progressed. The best idea is to give them solace however you can. For my dad he loved music. The thing they love most is the last thing they lose it seems. He was also good with numbers and could do times tables long after he had a clue who you were or if you had kids or not. I don't like talking about this and hope i am not being morbid. I wish it were different. But it can help to offer then an environment they can respond to. For my dad, it was music.
We need to beat this thing. It is so catastrophic that it is it rarely mentioned in public discourse. I hope the best for you and her and again, try to find someone to give you a break.

Skyscrapers there were closed so a lot of people standing on the street as news began to filter in on what had happened even though it was early - the mid morning sound of fighters circling the city was equally calming and unnerving. 697 So did the NFL teams kneel last night, or is the exact same flag perfectly fine now that jack sh*t has happened beyond more black on black murders and riots?

698 In other news - Houston fired four police officers who killed a man who pointer a taser at them after having spend a half hour with non lethal force to get him to submit and the city had the grace to declare not one but two of their slums cultural districts. Blue city suicide in Texas.

701 The Texans stayed in the locker room, the Chiefs stood and locked arms for both - the inmates are figuring out this is a bad look. Both teams gathered before the game to lock arms and show unity - some boring which evidently offended the Texans coach, and also his team getting spanked.

And yet still, some objected to it occurring, objected to the quiet
views and simple actions of no less than Mahomes and his teammates

Only their views are valid.

the press will try to crucify Chiefs fans. I don't go in for booing but that is something particular my school taught. It was a different situation though, it was not about on field play.

The talking points will be about fans booing unity. That is ironic and false but that is what they are going to go with. The Texans, the team going for most woke in the the NFL didn't even come out for the National Anthem. Then they put up about six lefty sayings while otherizing people with a different view. We all are against racism, and think black lives matter. But we don't have to support a Marxist organization and proclaim the country is systemically racist.

There was no unity or desire for unity. If there was unity, show some comments about the flag and our great nation. Don't give me the unity bs when you only want us to be unified as Marxist Leftists who think the country should be undone. Where is the unity in that? Unity means coming together. They only want you to bend the knee, and they will call it unity. They only want you to vote for Biden, and they will call it unity.

Many of these people, particularly the players, are clueless and getting pushed around by others. In the American I know, you have free speech. Unity my ass when you try to call your political opponents the enemy and racist. These leagues need to go down because they don't even have the balls of a company like Goya.

705 So apparently NASCAR has suspended a driver for suggesting that Bubba "Bowline" Wallace tread lightly in political and religious topics. Nothing else. No race, no all lives matter, nothing. Just for relaying common knowledge that white people have been told since birth.

The Texans are vying for the most woke in the league. The Houston I knew was the Houston of Urban Cowboy. Today it is ultra lefty and their politicos rival anyone from San Francisco.

I used to like the Oilers as I liked Warren Moon. But this thing means nothing to me regardless of any connection I had with the city long ago.

People don't like the Cowboys and that will never change. They are loved by many and hated by everyone else. But there is no doubt that their team is the least woke and most resistant to this crap. But the league has gone all in and will not be changing. The Cowboys can only hold off for a while and that is about it. All the leagues have decided BlM, the political organization, is are part of their brand.

I've been saying it since they started-- they don't tell you anything about what they'd do about COVID, they just claim they'd be different than Trump.

Even their spokesmen have no idea what their policy would be.

With this kind of prep Joe would be toast in a debate even if he weren't hopelessly senile.

714 I did see that as a show of unity with the entire USA! that the NFL and it's players are refusing to perform today due to it being 9-11

What's that? Just a coinky-dink?

715 I think the anarchists-Jade O'Halloran and Claire Severine could be quite attractive physically if they wore makeup and had better hairstyles (Nobody looks good in mugshots) and another picture of Grabbaer makes her look cute. But their ugliness inside is the real ugliness.

716 My first ever trip to Orlando about 15 years ago...I expected all Micky Mouse and Minnie Mouse. I stayed one night in a motel in a questionable area of the city, and heard gun shots in the middle of the night. Got out of there early the next morning and headed to the Cape.

722 I thought the same thing about that episode of Deep State 9.
If Joe Biden gets elected, they will be giving him the part of
Brian Gill, in Star Trek's 'Patterns of Force'. They'll put him behind a big microphone and then splice his words into complete sentences, digitally. The Left gets all it's best ideas from '1984', 'Brave New World' 'Animal Farm', 'Rules For Radicals', and Hollywood movies and TV.
