I always thought it was basically because white is a much more summery color, versus its winter alternatives: winter white, ivory, etc (which I hate). Also too, white pants especially are usually summer weight material. But as Bluebell says, I'm in the south so I do stretch my white-wearin' days a bit longer than I should.

I worked for a large multinational for 30 years. They loved them some meetings for salaried staff, usually run by a white woman, on how bad whites, men, and especially white men are ruining this fine company and we gotta get our act together.
At a plant that had 2000 employees, 90 POC, probably 50 50 on men women.
Salaried staff was about 50 percent POC.

I watched the video where there was a huge needle-mark, a bruised puncture, on the back of his hand. Someone ran the idea that Slow Joe was on chemo.

From recent and rather uncomfortable experience, they'll put an IV in the back of your hand if they fail multiple times on both of your arms.
As well, I often bruise after IVs or blood draws, so him bruising doesn't surprise me either. He probably needs to take an iron supplement.
