That's not going to happen. There will be enough states where the Electoral College meets on December 14 in the state capitals, as they are mandated to do, that there will be some electoral votes. If some states don't make the deadline, then too bad. There will be a winner when electoral votes are counted in the first week of January.

The only other HoF I have been to is the Hockey HoF in Toronto. I was just thinking about this earlier today: it was cool, even for this very, very casual hockey fan, but you know what was missing? Any reference to the 1980 U.S. hockey team, the Miracle on Ice. Yes, I know it's in Canada, but come on, I am positive even the Canadians were tipping their caps to the U.S. for that feat. The tablet then prints out your ballot after you fill it, in an unreadable code, which they then put into another machine (one for R and one for D) that looks all the world like an industrial shredder.

We are well and truly fucked if this is implemented places other than CA.

It's a fruity little club, and their voting process is a mess. Always has been. There are guys in there who don't belong. People not in there who are shedloads better players than others who are.

You would have loved Psycho the Hygienist. She'd take my blood pressure and promptly lecture me for five minutes on my BP. (Little did she know it was elevated: I ate a large breakfast to carry me through the time after my teeth cleaning that I could not eat. Other than that my BP is good.) She'd get so overzealous cleaning my teeth, she damn near jammed my glasses into my eye sockets. As I put it to her: "I appreciate your zeal but I'd really rather not have to go to my optometrist next to get a new pair of glasses because of you."

The last time she cleaned my teeth (quite some time ago), she was quite preggers, which played to my advantage because Psycho couldn't be as Psycho. It was awesome.
