Nancy Pelosi Videotaped Getting Hair Blown Out in Shuttered Hair Salon, Not Wearing Mask

The hair salon is shut down, by order of law, due to covid.

But Nancy Pelosi is a Democrat Politician. The law does not apply to her, just as it does not apply to Lori Lightfoot.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi got her hair done at a San Francisco salon on Monday -- in spite of local coronavirus rules barring indoor personal-care services, Fox News reported.
Security footage obtained by the outlet shows the California Democrat strolling through eSalon in the city's Pacific Heights neighborhood at around 3:10 p.m. on Monday.
She can be seen wearing a black smock with her wet locks slicked back -- but no mask on her face.
Hair salons and barber shops in San Francisco have been shuttered since March, and officials on Monday gave the OK to reopen, but for outdoor service only.
Salon owner Erica Kious called the congresswoman's visit "a slap in the face."
"It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can't work," Kious told Fox.
"We're supposed to look up to this woman, right?" Kious added. "It is just disturbing."

One of the independent stylists who works out of Kious' shop asked her if she could open it up for a single Very Important Person -- Pelosi.

I assume it was Kious who leaked the security camera footage to the media, but I don't know that.

"What would it take for someone like me to have sympathy for someone like Nancy Pelosi? She is, after all, the most powerful woman in America at the moment. And she's been positively Machiavellian in her long political career. Not the type of person to arouse much sympathy from the average American.

But then again, the average American has never encountered the likes of Code Pink and its new offshoot, PelosiWatch.

You might think that Nancy Pelosi, being a liberal Democrat, would be a favorite of groups like Code Pink. Not so. The political goalposts have been moved so far to the left in recent years that Pelosi -- as liberal and as powerful as she is -- fails to meet the demands and expectations of Code Pink and similar activist groups. They want George Bush and Dick Cheney impeached. They want not just an end to the Iraq War, but an immediate end, a complete withdrawal of all troops right now. And she's failed her Code Pink constituents in a wide variety of other ways, as outlined on the PelosiWatch site.

So, if you were a frustrated activist, what would you do?

Become a stalker, of course.

Which is exactly what the PelosiWatch folks have done. Their goal is to personally harass and stalk Pelosi to such an extent that I'm surprised she hasn't taken out a restraining order against them.

I'd been tipped off ahead of time about CodePink's plan to march across the Golden Gate Bridge on Sunday and stop for a rally at Pelosi's mansion in San Francisco's exclusive Pacific Heights neighborhood. But I skipped that event. I got a bit more intrigued when I learned that the protesters, once denied entry to Pelosi's private home, refused to leave and instead camped out on her doorstep. Pelosi wisely declined to engage with her stalkers, instead brushing past them the next morning (see below for the video) on her way out to running the House of Representatives. "

Covid was the dem's way of trying to get around Bush v Gore.
In 2000, Florida threw all their elections laws out the window in their zeal to push Gore over the top. When the Fla Supreme court ruled (desperately) to allow hand-counting in only major dem counties, that's when the USSC stepped in to say, this is nonsense; follow your election laws that said only one mechanical recount is allowed.
So--there are 50 elections with careful, detailed laws about protecting the vote (since at the time the laws are hammered out, neither side knows who they will benefit)
The dems needed a "national emergency" that would supersede the voting laws in each state. They gave it a good try, but they didn't succeed. So that's why I'm not too worried.

They way things work in most hair salons in California is:

-- A landlord owns the building
-- A "business owner" owns the hair salon business with a lease in the building.
-- The business owner has a business license.
-- Inside the salon there are multiple chairs. The business owner is also (usually) a stylist herself, but she only uses one of the chairs.
-- She then rents out the remaining chairs to "independent contractors" -- independent self-employed stylists who tend to their own customers in a leased chair. Each independent contractors than pays a commission per client to the business owner, who takes care op the insurance, the health department, the landlord, etc.

The Danger is real but it's risk factor has been over blown to incite hysteria.

According to recent stats the risk of getting this virus is about the same as for any other type of flu. The one factor that seems to be larger (and that may be an artifact of the LTC regs put in place by 4 Democrat Governors) is the one about a higher risk as your age is over 65.

This is like all of us more experienced folks have said is that there is no difference between this and the flu except for the attention and hysteria incited by the media.

We were discussing this a couple threads ago - for a lot of people, including me, our first impression to hearing them claim "Trump has had a stroke!" was "OH my God, Biden has had a stroke and they all know it!"

We've all grown accustomed to knowing that Biden is brain dead, and it's easy to miss how much worse it's getting. Biden was supposed to give a Major Speech yesterday to revitalize his campaign - they hustled him in and out of a studio in Pittsburg with very few people in it, and they didn't let him talk to anybody. They released a Video of Biden talking about the issues today - but it was recorded on August 21? He can't just say it? In fact Joe was hustled back to his basement today and allowed to see NO ONE. No Journalists, no one except Jill and his handlers. And all this when they know his campaign is floundering, and he needs to be out there talking to people daily!

I think that all of the people close to Joe have realized that's he's not going to be able to do it, but they have no idea how to admit it.

386 I was in the thread with JackStraw talking about Facebook. Yes, there was a dustup but I think it was more because of a misunderstanding than anything else.

People were short with each other. Whether it was justified or not is not for me to judge.

We can get along and express differences of opinion with grace and respect, coupled with the odd pudding joke, right?
