Nick Sandman's Lawyer, "Lawyer for the Damned" Lin Wood: I've Signed On to Sue the Shit Out of Carter Page's False Accusers

Update: Lin Wood announces that CNN and the Washington Post are in breach of its settlements -- which included confidentially clauses -- by permitting its idiot "contributors" and actual employees to comment on the case.

Unrelated, but interesting:

They opposition is dirty to the core. You can't, and won't, stay clean fighting them. Won't stay clean by not fighting them either.

I think that's the big, big advantage the Left has. Not the media or the judiciary or the educational establishment. Simply their willingness to get as dirty as necessary to win.

I know what you mean, the Grimm's Law sound shift. But P and F are only tangentially related in their sounds and how they're produced. Similarly, T and D, F and V, K and G -- you form your lips and tongue the same way for each pair, but one is voiced and the other not.

https://www.steynonline.com/10482/mn

500K may sound like a lot, but it was only 100K per year for 5 years, it wasn't a lump sum. And frankly, that ain't shit for the rest of ones life. He must not have thought he would get hired anywhere else (in today's climate, very unlikely) and it sounds like he didn't have any family. He'd lost everything he cared about, and his enemies were gloating about it. Plus, all his colleagues and everyone who he thought had supported him had abandoned him and given him silence. I've known several suicides with far less reason than this.

I do startups. I've seen founders screwed out of millions. I myself have lost ... lots. Takeovers happen. VCs are primordial ooze who care only about money and have no problem taking someone out and reclaiming their stock. It literally happens on a daily basis and the only crime many of these people have committed is being successful and someone else wanting the reward.

It sucks. It's painful, financially, professionally and personally. But I didn't kill myself as far as I can tell.

I'm not doubting he killed himself but he had to have some other demon haunting him to cause him to take his own life.

Philanthropy is a funny thing. Not saying Gates committed crimes or behaved unethically, per se, but if one does acquire that wealth in such manner, how clean is that "free" money that goes to pet causes? I mean, it's like a bank robber handing out some percentage of his thieving to his neighbors.

Anyhoo, I agree that Gates in my mind will never merit the title of philanthropist. Capitalist/Socialist, yes; philanthropist, no way. His philanthropy was just a cost of doing a new business.

298 I was one of Mike Adams online followers, I'd read him for many years now, which is why this hit me. He'd been the conservative who would actually stand up and fight against the Rad Left that was taking over the University System, he would say the kinds of things I only wished I could say, back a few years ago he won a massive years long lawsuit to force UNC to give him tenure when they tried to fire him then, because they always hated him.

What had happened was that the biggest win of his life was just reversed, because of a meaningless and harmless tweet he made. They used the current climate of fear to destroy him, and they broke him.

If you wonder his weakness, it was obvious - he was at heart an Academic. He loved it, he devoted his life to it, he fought to stay in it - but Academics are the hothouse flowers of humanity, they can't survive out of their niche, and don't want to. Plus, it seems clear that he had no family at all to fall back on, and that's what saves more people than anything. UNC was his dysfunctional family, and it looks like he couldn't take being kicked out once and for all.

Tweets like Tater's are seen by a wide number of people, both those who follow him on Twitter and by those who see those tweets re-trweeted.

Is there a legal basis for claiming that deleting a tweet, after it has already been widely disseminated, is an adequite remedy for any harm the tweet causes?

340 Our CIA (DeepState side) probably has more clever ways of murdering inconvenient people than Russia and their polonium. It does seem like a lot of too young patriots have died rather suddenly, at the height of their journalistic (or whatever avenue) revelations against The Left or other corruptions.

DS might even slowly poison a person or drug them with depressants ... or use some version of a heart attack gun. OR the stress of taking on the leftist machine and all their agents of hate might also cause undue stress and illness ... Epstein and Seth Rich seem like more likely cases of silencing of "snitches".

That's fine, there are a bunch of crazy people on the right that think that the WaPo settled for more than the lawsuit amount. I'm kind of curious myself.

But ... since these people settled, it's probably not good for their employees to keep harassing sandeman by publicly speculating that in, by winning, sandy actually lost.

383 The difference between how Democrats and Republicans ask for donations really pisses me off sometimes.

Republicans will call you at all hours of the day, interrupting whatever you're doing, and just expect you to cough up $200 right off the bat. You can say, "No, I don't have that kind of money to spare right now," and their response is a canned speech of, "Well, yeah, of course we understand times are tough for everyone right now, so how about we just put you down for $150, then?"

Uh, if I just told you I can't promise you $200 on the spur of the moment, why would you think $150 is so much easier?

Meanwhile, Democrats will send you emails that don't demand your immediate attention, and they'll say, "Please, anything you can spare; even if it's just $1, we promise you we'll appreciate it and make the best possible use of that dollar."

But Republicans don't seem to give a shit about you if you can't donate hundreds of dollars on a moment's notice.

I don't know if Adams lost any friends recently. Why would he have had any?. Being seen with him wouldn't help anybody's academic career, and that also applies to being known to be friendly. Certainly not agreeing.
Some comments presume the UNC has a conscience....
