42 The park represents nature with all of its privations and primordial terrors. The path is a metaphor for the security of civilization, but it requires a choice to be made in terms of direction as well as the rigors of an arduous journey ahead. 56 Absolutely not a gardener, maybe Gustave's friend. Another artist. From Barbizon. Living the simple life, painting, wearing straw hats, laying about on a hot July day.

Posted by: runner at July 27, 2020 09:46 AM (zr5Kq)

57 Compared to most Gustave Caillebotte paintings this is a simple scene but pleasant. The predominant blues and greens are relaxing to view. It could be called a study in triangles since the placement of the napping figure, the grass shapes around him, and the background areas of different colors. Coincidence? Maybe.

The one discordant feature is the shoes. Looks like they, especially on the right, they are heels. Minor as it is it seems odd and disturbs the atmosphere of the image.

I long ago stopped thinking that the presence or absence of signs meant anything in terms of election results.

The key example for me was this years Democratic primary in South Carolina. I didn't see a single Biden sign in the state or even one of the most liberal cities of the state, and he won by almost 30 points.

A lot of the issues obesity shows is from the rampant inflammation in the body. My opinion (and experience) is that refined carbohydrates in the diet produces high levels of inflammation in every organ. The body is weakened, trying to fight theinflammation, and just can't fight anything else very well.

So an average American
----------

Yep, most Americans do not see the connection between the hard push for social liberal policies and the complete regulation of your life (i.e., mask order). They just want to be left alone and are also willing to leave others alone to be whatever they want. But the hard core left doesn't want to be left alone - they want you to celebrate their lifestyle.

Next one, I used a ladder and put it higher up on the tree- which was great, because you could see it better from the road. I then spent a few nights out with my GSD ~ 60 meters away. There's someone in our neighborhood who has a big flagpole out front with an American flag with floodlights on it.

Because it is so rarely used, no one is sure just what emergency powers a governor has and for how long.

It used to be understood that the emergency powers were for thirty days. That gave the legislature time to convene, get a rudimentary understanding, and then legislate laws to deal with the emergency.

Now, with legislatures abdicating their powers...

341 May seem trivial but I think Rogan leaving LA for TX is a big deal. His reason isnt even really taxes. It is the un livability of Los Angeles and big cities in general. If a guy with $10s of millions of dollars cant make LA work who the fuck can?

Rogan recently had Ben Shapiro on his podcast. I know everyone here hates Ben, but it wasn't a bad listen for the most part. He introduced Rogan (and more importantly, tens of millions of listeners) to a lot of facts that we know by heart but the MFM doesn't tell people, and only really got pushback on the concept that BLM is horrible and Colin Kaepernick is an attention-seeking dunce.

I blame Sarah Palin, cause that's when I set the account up.

He's ultimately a GOP establishment figure, trying to act independent to maintain a larger following. He didn't like Trump prior to his election, and during his election night coverage made clear he didn't want either one to win. He shits on Trump now under the pretense of "pushing Trump right to help the conservative cause", but really is trying to hurt Trump with the Republican base.

His attempts to sabotage competitors in the conservative media/speech circuit, like Malkin and Milo, were the final nail in the coffin for me. Fuck that slimy, backstabbing little shit weasel.

422 I'm trying to figure out if Lebron James is a clueless dupe or a willing accomplice. He went to a good high school but was surely enrolled in a jock curriculum to just pass him through. His statements on Hong Kong were borderline retarded and surely he's aware of how China treats minorities they don't like in real time.

All the evidence says willing accomplice. Fuck him.
Posted by: Captain Hate at July 27, 2020 11:01 AM (y7DUB)

LeBron participated in a home remodeling show( the one with Nicole Curtis, who is nutty and has had all kinds of legal problems, from suing for custody from her kid's dad, to suing her mother, to constant legal battles over not getting permits, etc.) He was donating time and money to remodel a run down house in the hood in Cleveland . He had no idea how to use a hammer. Great big guy who couldn't pull down a piece of drywall.

I was shocked to see his wife looking like a normal middle age woman , I figured he would be married to some flygirl or NBA dancer. Those are probably tucked away in different cities, but his wife actually could do more on the remodel than he could.

He's not bright, nor is he educated. He transferred in HS to a basketball focused HS and went straight into the NBA. I doubt he can read and write ahead of a fourth grader.
