The Morning Rant

talking ape.jpg
I loves me some guerilla theater. The best thing I love about it is when the left complains about it when it's done to them.

But unlike left-wing guerrilla theater, there is a real price to pay if you're on the right.

Bevelyn Beatty was arrested for dumping black paint on the Black Lives Matter "mural" that Mayor de Blasio arranged to have painted in front of Trump Tower. They charged her and Edmee Chavannes, who helped her carry out her nefarious deed, with "criminal mischief".

And her Twitter account got suspended.

Her official GoFundMe account was removed. They don't say why. Other than it violated "our terms and conditions." Which I guess means the unwritten condition that prohibits raising money for conservative causes.

A couple of third-party sponsored GoFundMe accounts on her behalf have also been deleted.

It is absolutely hilarious to listen to progressives sputtering and fuming and getting all pissy and indignant over her activities. They raise all sorts of dark suspicions about who's funding her travel, although her home is in New Jersey so she could almost walk into New York City. One referred to her as a Christian "activist" (with the ironic quote marks) as if her activities somehow don't qualify as activism. Because, you know, only left-wingers can do activism.

Bevelyn was released shortly after being arrested and she immediately desecrated two more BLM hagiographic displays elsewhere in New York City.

You can see why progressives hate her, though:

--She refuses to bow the knee to BLM, and has called it a 'terrorist organization'.
--She is a Trump supporter.
--She is an outspoken Christian
--She is an evangelist
--She is a pro-life activist
--She likes to use the #JesusMatters hashtag on social media

This 5 Fast Facts About Bevelyn Beatty is a surprisingly even-handed summation of who she is and what she's about. I especially like this:

The New York Post reported that in one video, Beatty said: “Ladies and gentlemen, we’re in Brooklyn and it ain’t over. Jesus matters. We’re taking our country back. We’re taking it back. And let me tell you something, the police need our help. They can’t stand alone. Don’t just sit by idly and watch your country go to the ground.”

We cannot spare this woman. She fights.

Unlike Conservative, Inc. Well, actually, they fight, too. But what they fight are mostly other conservatives.

I think this well-known quote by Martin Luther is applicable here:

“If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at the moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved. And to be steady on all the battle fields besides is merely flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point.”

Ms. Beatty is on the front lines, fighting where the action is hottest. These other guys, these William Kristols and David Frenches and Rick Wilsons, what are they doing? What have these "conservatives" doing to promote conservative principles? Nothing except losing their shit over Donald Trump for the past three and a half years. Meanwhile, our country is threatened with dissolution, you can practically hear the fault lines cracking, and the NeverTrumpers are off fighting their own little war.

Put it another way: Bevelyn Beatty is out there past the trenches and barbed wire in no-man's land with a flame thrower and a belt of hand grenades, dodging shells and bullets as she tries to take out an enemy machine gun nest. Meanwhile, the NeverTrumper REMFs are well back away from any actual fighting, plotting against the general and lending aid and comfort to the enemy army. If this was an actual way, they could all executed as traitors.

One Bevelyn Beatty is worth a hundred Jonah Goldbergs.

In my neck of the woods Redwood City CA scrubbed a blm street "mural" because a clever real estate attorney insisted on painting a MAGA 2020 mural next to it!

Freaking Redwood City actually paid for the blm paint (it was temporary unlike NYC). So, blm had to go, they certainly can't promote the bad orange man.

101 Antifa assaulted a non-Antifa videographer, Mason Lake, at the riots in Portland last night.

It's a very effective way to shape media coverage - attack any journalist at the riots who isn't explicitly pro-Antifa.

The Antifa "journalists" then complain when people like Andy Ngo use their video, when they have stated publicly that they will beat Ngo if he shows up in person.

Most Antifa "journalists" at the riots use the time-honored technique of filming the riot, and then posting only edited clips of police attacking the crowd, leaving out what happened in the minute or two prior.

For example, last night, the Feds attacked when someone successfully got a fire going on one of the plywood doors of the Federal courthouse. (At least one of the charging Feds was carrying a fire extinguisher to put out the fire.)

Edit out the fire starting, and bingo - instant video clips of police brutality.

129 Her official GoFundMe account was removed. They don't say why. Other than it violated "our terms and conditions." Which I guess means the unwritten condition that prohibits raising money for conservative causes.

Posted by: OregonMuse at 11:18 AM

I think their condition is one is not allowed to raise money for someone who has committed a crime. Whether or not any of us agree with the classification of what she did was a crime, she was arrested and charged. Therefore, I think GoFundMe can say that raising money for someone who has been charged with a crime is against their policy.

Also, while I applaud her activism, I think someone noted yesterday that the better way to fight back against this is to do what they did in California and write your own messages on the street. Like they did with "Baby Lives Matter" outside the Planned Parenthood.

So Miss Beatty should change her tactics and start painting "Jesus Matters" on streets all over the city.

They might then charge her with "graffiti" or something, since she did not get permission to do it. But then she could demand permission and if they deny her, she can ask them why the double standards of allowing "Black Lives Matter" and not "Jesus Matters".

Sure, to find 'em all. But when they're used in variables, things get trickier because you have to rename those variables and fix all references and ensure there are no overlaps. Then there is yet more QA activity to validate everything. And you have to rev all the documentation again. And there is tilting at windmills involved because some terms like "abort" and "kill" are industry standards with known meanings and various problems with replacing them. And it can't be done in one round because the rules keep changing and so we will inevitably do it again.

It is the stupidest thing I have seen in a very long time.

you know there's some VP of something angling for a promotion because zhe is so "Woke", and everyone else in the chain of command, above and below, is terrified that they'll be whacked if they say a single word pointing out how idiotic and wasteful this is.

In the long run, this is how organizations of all sizes start to die. When extraneous political issues and personal power plays begin to completely dominate all decision making, to the exclusion of all else. It can go on for a while, but in the end the organization will be left with no one in charge except political game players, who never had any skill at anything else.

169 I had the displeasure on going into NYC for the first time since April.

It is barely recognizable as the city I knew.

Most prolifically, the area around Madison Square Garden has become a homeless camp and open drug den. There are places boarded up, everywhere smells like urine and crime is noticeably rampant. I talked to a friend of mine who is a detective. His advice? Stay away. Period. Every category of crime is way up, most are not being prosecuted or the perps are back on the street the next day. Carjackings, assaults and other violent crimes are prevalent.

This is the effect of rule by the Democrat Party. It's what they have in store for our country- and worse.

It is a sad destruction of America, and it's being covered up with the help of a Vichy Media.

This is what people want? Do they think their neighborhood and lives will be spared? What absolute fools.

But keep wearing that mask, or something.

Maybe. It doesn't make a lot of sense. Coinage doesn't wear out *that* quickly that the suspensions at the Mint should be that disruptive. But my brother has a theory that I think might be right.

All day every day, people are bombarded with the new normal. A lot of folks - even people who believe it - are probably having their lizard brains triggered. Something is palpably wrong. Everyone knows it. People disagree on what it is, or what it means, but if you're awake at all at the moment, you know that shit is not as it should be.

So what to do? Stock up. I suspect that the First National Sock and Bank of Sealy have opened a lot of branches and seen a lot of deposits over the past six months.

The Walmart's around here have one or two self check out registers that take cash open, all the rest are card only, and there is always a line at the one's that take cash. The one's for cards are wide open.

The manager told me the other day that the bank is limiting the amount of change they can get every day due to the shortage, and it isn't just coins, it's bills too.

308 St. Louis prosecutors filed a sworn statement with the court when they charged the McCloskeys with waving around a lethal weapon in a threatening manner. To do so prosecutors had to examine and prove the weapon could be fired "with lethal force".

The problem was, they found, the weapon had been long-since disabled (on purpose), so it could be used as a trial prop by the McCoskey's in one of their cases. The St. Louis crime lab found out this inconvenient fact when they examined the gun.

Prosecutors ordered them to make it work. So they did, but the Crime Lab filmed the whole event. Prosecutors then made their sworn statement.
I smell a big fat verdict coming the McCloskey's way. Malicious prosecution, falsifying evidence, perjury....aren't these crimes? Kim Gardner and her assistant prosecutor better lawyer up.

We don't know how to handle it. We don't know how it works. And we don't know what will happen. In the past 20 years (it had precursors in the form of things like electronic bulletin boards and forums like this one, but they have nothing on "social media"), we have invented a fourth type of communication. It has no precedent and we have no idea how to use it or its consequences. The four kinds of communication:
1. One-on-one. A conversation. Old. Common.
2. One-on-many. A lecture or an address. Old. Common.
3. Many-on-one. A letter-writing campaign. Old. Uncommon and largely ineffective. No feedback.
4. Many-on-many. New. Common.

We could never do #4 before and we don't know how to use it or how it really works. Time will tell. If we live through it, we're adaptable enough.

343 Time for a repeat. Copy and share everywhere.

Cashless Society

HERE IS WHAT NO CASH / CASHLESS ACTUALLY MEANS

A cashless society means no cash. Zero. It does not mean mostly cashless and you can still use a wee bit of cash here and there. Cashless means fully digital, fully traceable, fully controlled. I think those who support a cashless society are not fully aware of what they are asking for. A cashless society means

If you are struggling with your mortgage on a particular month, you cannot do an odd job to get you through

Your child cannot go and help the local farmer to earn a bit of summer cash

No more cash slipped into the hands of a child as a good luck charm or from their grandparent when going on holidays

No more money in birthday cards

No more piggy banks for your child to collect pocket money and to learn about the value of earning

No more cash for a rainy day fund or for that something special you have been putting 20 dollars week away for

No more fivers on the side because your wages barely cover the bills or put food on the table

No more charity collections

No more selling bits and pieces from your home that you no longer want or need for a bit of cash in return

No more cash gifts from relatives or loved ones

No more football or basketball bets
No more poker night

What a cashless society does guarantee

Banks have full control of every single penny you own

Every transaction you make is recorded

All your movements and actions are traceable.

Access to your money can be blocked at the click of a button when or if banks need clarification from you which will take about 3 weeks, a thousand questions answered and five thousand passwords

You will have no choice but to declare and be taxed on every penny in your possession

No more lottery and casino winnings under $1200.00

The government WILL decide what you can and cannot purchase
(No more guns or ammo purchases)

If your transactions are deemed in any way questionable by those who create the questions, your money will be frozen, for your own good
(No more guns or ammo purchases)

I could write lists for 5 days and still not finish explaining how utterly awful a cashless society would be for everyone. Even for the goody two shoes who would not dream of not declaring 500 dollars

Forget about cash being dirty. Stop being so easily led. Cash has been around for a very, very, very long time and it gives you control over how you trade with the world. It gives you independence.

I heard a story where a man supposedly contracted Covid because of a 20 dollar bill he had handled. There is the same chance of Covid being on a card as being on cash. If you cannot see how utterly ridiculous this assumption is then there is little hope.

If you are a customer, pay with cash. If you are a shop owner, remove those ridiculous signs that ask people to pay by card. Cash is a legal tender, it is our right to pay with cash. Banks are making it increasingly difficult to lodge cash and that has nothing to do with a virus, nor has this dirty money trend.

Please open your eyes. Please stop believing everything you are being told. Almost every single topic in today's world is tainted with corruption and hidden agendas. Please stop telling me and others like me that we are what is wrong with the world when you hail the most corrupt members of society as your heroes. Politics and greed is what is wrong with the world.

Not those who are trying to alert you to the reality in which you are blindly floating along whilst being immobilised by irrational fear. Fear created to keep you doing and believing in exactly what you are complacently doing.

Pay with cash and please say no to a cashless society while you still have the choice.

347 A couple of fun facts about Susanna Hoffs and The Bangles...

Their hit song Manic Monday was written by Prince! He wanted Susanna to be his protegee and lover like so many other gorgeous musicians were in the 80s, and he figured the gift of a song would help win her over.

During the album recording of Eternal Flame, Susanna was naked! The band's producer had worked with Olivia Newton-John previously, and told Susanna that Olivia recorded all her soft love ballads naked because it made her feel more vulnerable and added some extra emotional punch to the songs. This was a lie; he totally punked her.

When I read that second story, I felt a little sad, because I had found a new hero and I didn't even know the guy's name.

Until currency is no longer 'legal tender' they don't have the ability to form a cashless society.

370 Who dat girlie was Sheep's bigliest teenage crush growing up in the 80's.

No surprise that he ended up marrying a lady with big dark brown eyes, long curly brown hair and soft feminine features. I guess he knew he had a type...

-and that Bangles "In Your Room" song was terrible to inflict on an overly hormonal teenage boy. Imjustsayin.

371 237 Streets are public thoroughfares. Why can't people paint rebuttals to BLM BS? That is discriminatory and against civil rights.
________________

There's already a whole body of law on this. Governments don't have to allow speech on public property, but if they do, then they are not supposed to engage in viewpoint discrimination -- for example, allowing lefty points of view to be expressed, but denying expression to conservative points of view.

What has typically happened in the past is that the government will allow some political group to make an expression on public property, and then some other political group will ask for the right to make a contrary expression, and then the government (which does not want to allow the contrary expression) will say "we're no longer allowing any political expressions in this forum," and that's how they keep conservative viewpoints out.

This is what happened this week when some woman attorney petitioned for the right to paint a pro-Trump slogan on a street where the local government (in CA, IIRC) had allowed a BLM slogan to be painted. The government, instead of allowing the pro-Trump slogan, said "we're no longer allowing political expressions here," and they removed the BLM slogan.

376 I was a young man working in my dad's xerox/print/office supplies shop one day wearing my Bangles t-shirt. The Bangles were just a local L.A. band at the time. They hadn't signed any record deal and were unknown outside L.A. They played little clubs around L.A.

A middle-aged woman, who was a pretty frequent customer, was standing in line waiting to get xerox copies and asked me, "Do you like the Bangles?"

She obviously wasn't a clubber like me and my friends, so a little bit surprised I said, "Yeah. You've heard of the Bangles?"

She replied, "I'm Susanna Hoffs mother."

377 When MAGA demands its right to paint the streets like blm did, the radical governors, mayors back way off. Imagine that, they tell us how they really desire to govern radial leftists prejudicially.

378 Yay for negros who will vote against your candidate around 92% of the time. Whenever conservatives ponder just how retarded they are, this is the answer. DUMB, DUMB, REALLY REALLY DUMB.

380 Susanna Hoffs is a vampire. That's the only logical explanation as to her appearance at the age of 61.

And as for the joker who blamed NAFTA for his job being lost? I had the exact opposite experience. I got a job BECAUSE the company I applied at underwent an expansion because it could finally enter the market in Mexico. Thanks to NAFTA.

Protectionism is all the rage now as even "conservatives" are showing they love big government as long as it protects their ox from being gored, but never forget that Smoot Hawley Tariffs did not bring about a boom period in the 1930s. Quite the opposite, in fact. (I have the Mark Levin view towards free trade.)
