Also, I went to "Tile and Decor" store to pick up a 12' long butcher block counter for my daughter's remodeling job. Customer service is totally unknown there. I would rather burn my house down than go back to that store.

I noticed that happening in the Presby Church, which I've now left, really starting about 10 years ago (but accelerating now) Way back in the old days, like 20 years ago, membership was split between social conservatives and social liberals, and people respected each other's opinions and tried to keep politics out of church. But, the left took over the seminaries and gradually, the leadership, and started making the place more and more uncomfortable for people who didn't agree with them.
And watching this, it hit me - they *knew* what they were doing, they *wanted* the church to shrink. They have decided that it is far far easier for them to run a church that is a fraction of it's former size because they will never get any criticism, and they can do what they want. That's the plan - and in your case, I guarantee, your priest doesn't want you to "repent" - he WANTS you to leave and never come back. Much much easier for him if you do.
PC-USA, the main Presby body, still had 2.6 million members in 2000. As of last year, they are down to just over 1.3 million - half of the entire church has quit or died over the last couple of decades
And with every church they have shutting down for most of this year, I expect the membership drop to really accelerate. Honestly, I do not expect that body to exist by 2040.

The USA has an internal insurrection underway. We are broker than broke fiscally. I don't really want to get into war with China over HK.

That's just it, we really don't know what the right to do. Granted, Australia is a big country with a comparatively tiny population but their urban sprawl around the big cities rivals ours and we've had nearly more deaths in a single nursing home than they've had in the entire country.
And they've been doing things pretty similar to they way we are and they have a significantly closer proximity and relationship with China.
One major difference, their schools have opened. Not flawlessly and from what I understand not universally but they are ahead of us on that.

I work with a guy who is involved in manufacturing some herbal supplements in China. They need to be manufactured there because that's where the stuff is. Many years ago when they were standing up production, they had massive quality control problems as well as counterfeiting in their plant (basically, what was in it was not what was on the label).
They couldn't move it out of China, so they sent their own QC team over to take over all quality control and testing. And they don't do single-run testing due to the problems with that, too. They test every batch at every point in production and burn up a lot of product doing additional spot-checks at a way higher rate than industry average.
They got their quality, but they have to pay through the nose for it and have their own men doing it "over there."

I kind of agree. No, I don't like wearing a mask. I don't wear one when I'm outdoors either. Even here in SoCal, I've never been hassled by a karen about no mask outdoors.
But, just about every private business is requiring masks if you want to enter their shops and places of business. If I were wealthy and could have everything shipped straight to me, so I never had to wear a mask, I would do that. But I'm not wealthy and I can't do that, so I'm stuck.
I can't help but wonder if we as a people are being 'broken in.' Eventually I expect the powers-that-be to say "okay, all business are back open, go to church, you can dine out, whatever, but keep wearing those masks and social distancing." Among other things.

It's a conversion to DAO from the CZ Custom shop. I'm assuming the spring replacement they did (they sent back the originals) was done for a reason.

I just use ball ammo in my .380. Most of the .380 defensive loads don't work as expected. (Buffalo Bore and Underwood excepted)

It isn't about the mask, not really. It is manifesting that way.
It's about being lied to by every authority. No one trusts anyone else. The mask item, in particular, has been one of the biggest policy whipsaws and footballs in recent memory. There isn't great evidence as to efficacy. They are expensive and hard to come by. They are being mandated, yet other restrictions aren't being lifted. They're incredibly dehumanizing. They're used as a cudgel by the state on general principle.
If there was good evidence of efficacy, I'd have a different attitude. Even if without evidence, if they were being used as a shibboleth to justify reopening things and keeping the Karens at bay, I'd have a different attitude.
But it is just another indifferent or lie-based control put out by yet more controlling liars. Yes, continuing shutdowns are far worse than wearing a mask, but this isn't an either-or question. It's both masks and shutdowns (both of which appear to be pointless or of minor efficacy, paid for at eye-watering expense) and more and more control by ever darker and more pernicious liars.

With .380 defensive ammo, either the hollow point doesn't expand (because velocities are lower on .380), so you end up with ball ammo performance; or the hollow point DOES expand but you get reduced penetration, which can be a problem if you shoot from the side (like the lady cop in the video last week).
.380 ball ammo (and Makarov ammo too) gets good penetration. Just put the rounds on target.
Underwood/Lehigh Extreme Penetrator .380 rounds (they look like a phillips screwdriver nipped off) DO perform very very well. But they're expensive. So are most Buffalo Bore offerings.

when I trained nurses on the use of oximeters my company sold, many would come in wearing masks they had worn for awhile. When it measured their oxygen saturation many were way below normal levels. soem were so low they would have qualified to Supplemental Oxygen through medicare. of course it depended on other factors like weight, how much you exercises etc. Add that to other contraindications like collecting dust, pollen, bacteria and they are not good for prolonged use.

Get yourself a SIRT gun. It's worth the money. We invested in a bunch of them to run simulator classes (which are popular), and I keep one of them here in my desk. Whenever I'm on a telecon or long boring meeting, I whip out the SIRT and practice draw from concealment, trigger press, mag changes, etc. Get a deck of those Dry Fire Training or Dry Fire Fit cards and deal yourself some random training bits. It really helps and you notice a difference when you do get to the range.

It's great that there are parents who can home school, and it's nice to see more of that, but it's a luxury some cannot afford.
