That is how bizarre this case is; Sullivan is *acting* like a party to the case, even though he isn't one. In any objective view, that right there should be enough to have him immediately recused from any future dealings with this case.

The district court is the target, not Sullivan himself - he's just a human stand in for the Court - and the court is not an injured party here - its being directed to fulfill its function as outlined in the rules governing courts. Courts can't appeal anything really ordering them to be - um, courts.

If Sullivan appeals or whatever mechanism is made up to get the hearing of his argument before the full court with 7 appointed Dems and 4 Republicans, the writ could get overturned. Followed immediately by appeal by Powell to SCOTUS. Which may take it up next session. And, with 5 liberals on the court, well, it could well rule in favor of Sullivan creating his own prosecution to preside over as judge. Or they may rule, no he can't. Either way there's maybe a couple more years of Flynn in jeaopardy here.

I think the same is true for the genuflecting being forced upon all the major sports. Kill the enthusiasm shown by the typical American, and it's just another "institution" the left is bringing down.

Funny thing is, the one thing all these entities seem to have in common is a corporate mentality that has been detracting from the underlying enjoyment of the sports for decades.

Sullivan can't appeal the way we think of an appeal - but he can try talking 6 out of the 11 Judges on the full appeals court to rehear it en banc.

What this decision did more than anything was to fully and completely take this out of Sullivan's hands and move it up to the next level. That's a good thing; but we don't know for sure yet what the next level is going to do with it.

This is the problem with multiple levels of courts; each level can dick around with it for years, if they want, before moving it on to the next level.

And yes it was on a Subaru. This was in a parking lot so I did not get a chance to see the owner of said vehicle.

Yup this is a very very deep blue state, although the location of this parking lot is sorta purple. But cars do go places. And blue voters tend to soil an area and then move to a nice clean red area in order to soil it.
