Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Feinstein Asked "Basic Questions" About Her Husband's Pre-Pandemic Stock Sales"Basic questions" like "Did you commit a crime?" and "Can you prove you did not commit a crime?" "Senator Feinstein was asked some basic questions by law enforcement about her husband’s stock transactions, as I think all offices in the initial story were," a spokesman for the California Democrat told Fox News on Thursday. ... Earlier this year, reports had said Feinstein, who is the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and her husband sold between $1.5 million and $6 million in stock in California biotech company Allogene Therapeutics, between Jan. 31 and Feb. 18. But a spokesman for Feinstein at the time denied any wrongdoing and indicated the sales involved the senator's husband, saying that “all of Senator Feinstein's assets are in a blind trust" and "she has no involvement in her husband’s financial decisions."Weird that all of these politicians have their money in blindtrusts and never profit from their offices and yet every single one of them leaves ten times as wealthy as when they came in. Clintonworld had a motto for this: "Doing well by doing good." That is, making a lot of money by, supposedly, having the right politics. But.... how does money end up in your pockets from doing supposedly altruistic things and not legally permitted to accept money from outside parties? They never explain it. They just keep on getting richer. And they keep on demanding that we thank them for their "service." Meanwhile, Kelly Loeffler previously denied being served a warrant by the FBI, but then admitted at the end of the night that she had "voluntarily" turned over documents related to her own stock sales. "No search warrant has been served on Sen. Loeffler. She has followed both the letter and spirit of the law and will continue to do so," the spokesperson added. Between the day of the virus briefing, Jan. 24, and feb. 14, Loeffler and her husband sold stock worth between $1.2 million and $3.1 million, and purchased stock in a maker of software that helps people work from home -- just before millions of workers were forced to leave their offices amid coronavirus business rules, The Daily Beast reported. They're pretty confident no one's going to dig too hard into the affairs of Senators. Maybe they're right.
But the Uniparty is betting their lives on it. If Donald Trump wanted to discredit Congress entirely, and goodness knows they're the enemy, then exposing the sheer scale of their corruption and double dealing on the plague issue would be a fantastic start. I wouldn't suppose the DOJ had that many trustworthy lawyers, but there is a lot of talent outside Washington. It's easy-peasy. The trustee invests the money in a special, one-customer fund, one that guarantees an agreed-to minimum positive rate of return. Posted by: Chi-Town Jerry at May 15, 2020 03:24 PM (CjFDo) =============== I hate to admit it, but that's actually a really good point. Well you gotta be in a position of power where people show up to you begging for stuff and handing you cash. Remember the scene at the end of Goodfellas where he steps off the stand and directly addresses the camera? Anything I wanted was a phone call away. Free cars. Keys to a dozen hideouts all over the city. I'd bet a hundred grand over a weekend, then blow the winnings in a week or go to sharks to pay the bookies. Didn't matter. It didn't mean anything. When I was broke I would go rob some more. We ran everything. We paid off cops. We paid off lawyers. We paid off judges. Everybody had their hands out. Everything was for the taking. And now it's all over. That's the hardest part. Today everything is different. There's no action. I have to wait around like everyone else. Can't even get decent food. After I got here I ordered spaghetti with marinara sauce and I got egg noodles with ketchup. I'm an average nobody. I get to live the rest of my life like a schnook. That's why they break the law and try to destroy people who get in the way and fight so hard. They live like kings and don't want to give that up to be just regular people who have to wait in line. You can ignore any Florida poll from now to election day that says Biden wins the state. Trump will win Florida. I expect he picks up 1 to 2 points on his margin from last time. If DeSantis and Scott can win in 2018, there is no question that Trump will win the state. All of the fundamentals put this state solidly in Trump's column. Over just three days, Conde Nast, Quartz and VICE gutted their newsrooms with layoffs. This is a historically bad year for digital and local journalism.
Funny that. After separating some fools from their money a few years back for funding to start up these lame clickbait sites (although Vice used to make money back when Gavin McInnes ran it) the money finally ran out and nobody wants to invest in their crap any more. Not without serious changes. I guess you might believe #6 after all. Burr props up the Russia narrative on 4/20/20 (even though he had the 2017 transcripts) 5/8/20 the transcripts are released showing he lied 5/14/20 The FBI serves a warrant for Burr's phone Here's what I'd add: 1) it's a hell of a coincidence since the trading stuff had been dead for over a month but maybe that's all it is and 2) that warrant isn't limited to insider trading-- kinda how the warrant for Wiener's laptop found Hillary's emails? I'll say he didn't resign because of the warrant-- he resigned because they told him he no longer has security clearance. And he can resign and it'll be automatically revoked. I use the iPad of Shame. I suppose I should say something bad about it.
Posted by: tubal at May 15, 2020 04:25 PM (bCLt0) --- Pffft. A number of us use Apple products here. No biggie. Posted by: SMH at May 15, 2020 04:27 PM (RU4sa) 445
Jeebus... the neighbor's 5yo son went missing, so I was looking for around for him, and eventually his mom found him. Then his dad started shouting at him and calling him a "little n***a" for wandering off after our other neighbor girl. If someone called my girl a n***a or a k*ke or somesuch, the only surprise after that would be watching how fast a 29+ man could dig a grave. Some people shouldn't have kids. Anon, I read about JCPenney a few days ago.
They're closing about a quarter of their stores, so it sounds to me like they're downsizing, but not going away. Posted by: qdpsteve at May 15, 2020 04:27 PM (L2ZTs) 448

396 Heh, saw a picture of a sign up in a store:
Governor Janet Mills has ordered that all customers must wear a mask when entering this store. IF YOU HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION that prevents you from wearing a mask, you do not need to wear one; we will assume this is the case. Due to HIPPA and the 4th amendment, we will not ask you about your condition. Thank you for your patronage. Somewhere in Maine, presumably.
