Bah, that was fast. I'm back. Aces cracked, but you'll have that.
So, back to pets: we started homemade dog food this week. Tank appears to be allergic to pretty much all the meats, but I'll be damned if I'm going to feed him vegetarian. The vet said commercial dog foods, even limited ingredient, may be cross-contaminated. She suggested we make it ourselves using balanceit.com if we have the time and the money, and we kinda do, so, we're on it. Sarge isn't allergic, but he is picky and turns his nose up at kibble most of the time. He hasn't refused a single homemade meal. Tank is still itchy and rashy, though. Hope it clears up shortly. Hi all. I want to thank everyone for the sympathies over losing my sweet kitty Dorkie Dork. She was such an incredible cat. The night before she died, down to about 3#, couldn't walk, my gf had cleaned her up and put a little puppy diaper on her, then put DD into her plush bed which my gf then put on her stomach (gf was lying on her back, propped up on a big pillow). All of a sudden, DD looks up and starts to claw her way towards gf's right upper arm, which was DD's favorite place in the world. Keep in mind that DD doesn't have a back, right leg, hadn't really eaten anything in days, and had only a day or so left, but nothing was going to keep her from mama's arm. Mama, of course, picked her up and put her right where she wanted to be. They loved each other so much.

Well I finally planted him in my mom's flower garden under a bunch of catnip, next to a little garden temple. Fitting, since he demanded worship from all he met. Rest in peace, you fat fuzzy bastard. Afternoon, all,
I like the Corgi sitting up in bed as he "works." Sort of a mascot for the AoSHQ Pet Thread. Some of you may remember that my older cat, Chekov D. Siberian, has been having, uh, "digestive" issues for some time. After running innumerable tests, his vet believes it's a food allergy of some kind. I've tried him on Iams, Science Diet, and even Instinct "raw" rabbit dry food. Nothing seemed to work. He'd have a problem on the bathroom floor or occasionally carpet every 2-3 days. Finally I gave in and bought the expensive ($56 for 7.7 lbs.) hydrolyzed protein food the vet suggested when the other things failed. Mirabile dictu: It seems to be working! He eats the stuff readily, seems energetic -- and he has not had a bathroom accident in a week! The big black cat, his adopted younger brother, eats it too, and I have to figure out a way to feed him good but less pricey stuff while Chekov continues on the cordon bleu. But it appears he is in remission. (Of course, now that I've written that, the big white-and-black devil will crap on my dining table just to spite me. You know how cats are.) My little Moose has been out of sorts since yesterday. Daughter took him to vet because he was shaking his had alot. He said the ears weren't bad probably allergies so he gave him a shot and cleaned out what little dirt there was. He was just weird all night before I went to bed, refusing to do downstairs. So I left him laying in the chair. This morning about 11:00 I hear this howling! I knew he was down there with her and I heard her trying to comfort him. Bad dream maybe?

My cat climb a tree going after a bird and traversed across a thin dead branch . I thought I was going to have to get my 16ft ladder out but I apparently have a smart cat that knows how to put itself in reverse. She just came down the same way she got up only walking and climbing backwards. Never seen that before.

Posted by: Weasel at May 09, 2020 04:54 PM (MVjcR) Have heard parrots especially like routine. Bitey bird must, each morning get: 3 unsalted pistachio nuts in shell. Half his cup of volkmers hookbill. Assorted dried red chili peppers. 6-8 zupreme pellets. Dried banana chips. A fresh chili pepper, jalapeno, fresno red or anaheim red. Bell peppers will do in a pinch. Cozy skritches on pin feathers at sundown. Posted by: banned must produce at May 09, 2020 05:09 PM (d3B9X) 125

My cat will play the piano, only at night, maybe 3am.
First a high note, then a low, then a cluster, then he gets up on the keys and walks from high to low, low to high. Then I get up, close the lid. Happens about once a week. Great pets, thanks for the thread, as usual. Posted by: navybrat, at large at May 09, 2020 05:13 PM (w7KSn) 128

New Vid at AJC shows man shot in GA to be jogging down the street at a very , very slow pace
in fact, most people would call it walking then man enters a home that is under construction man in empty site for about 5 minutes neighbor comes out, calls 911 man runs out of house in a hurry then all hell breaks loose Of course, AJC speeds up vid to make it appear man jogging and shorten his time on construction site please send this matter to a grand jury and let them decide if they are guilty, put them away but don't placate the black community with the accused freedom Posted by: REDACTED at May 09, 2020 05:37 PM (tQbpU) 142
