Committee Chair Bill Clinton will present each member with select cigars from his exclusive collection. And on another note, there has been much speculation about who the Democrats are going to chose to replace the senile half-wit Joe Biden when everyone comes to the conclusion that he has just got to go. My prediction is: they won't. And the NY Times editorial confirms it. The editorial would have thrown Biden overboard if the plan was to replace him. The Democratic Party leadership and deep-pocket donors are all 100% behind Stinkyfingers. There are Democrats who loudly insist "There is NOTHING wrong with Joe Biden. He may stutter a bit, but he's PERFECTLY FINE!" The only prominent Democrat who wants Joe to step aside is Peter Daou, but his lips are permanently glued to Hillary's butt, so you know who he wants as a replacement. I don't think the point of fingering the left's determination to vote for Biden against Trump is to prove that they're brainless slugs, or anything. I imagine most of us would still vote for Trump if he shot someone of 5th Avenue.
I think the point is to simply highlight how they don't actually give a shit about the entire feminist cause that they've latched onto for the last three years. It's the sort of thing that needs to be transmitted to feminist true-believers everywhere. "These are your allies? They're willing to toss you under the bus for power." Random theory of the day:
We've been saying all along that transgenderism is a mental disorder. What conclusion would we reach if we looked at it from a Jungian analytic perspective? Everyone basically had a core personality and a shadow - the shadow being parts of the whole that are normally suppressed. In a male, the shadow has feminine characteristics (anima) and in a female, it had masculine ones (animus). The conclusion is pretty simple - the person suffering from transgenderism has essentially suppressed their core personality to the extent that the shadow becomes dominant. This is still a mental disorder, but the why and how it arises is illuminating. Much has been said in conservative circles about how the school system discriminates against boys. The growth of the transgender phenomenon seems likely to be connected. Posted by: Cato, Collectivism Delenda Est at May 06, 2020 11:26 AM (J+mig) 73

I'm not a lawyer, and make no claims to understand the state of the law as regards an emergency, e.g. an Ebola epidemic. True, many governors seem to relish power over the citizenry, but I
think most people would agree that there are situations where it's warranted. I just don't know who decides what's a true emergency, and then what powers that entails. Pre-code Hollywood had some interesting themes. Posted by: Hadrian the Seventh at May 06, 2020 11:27 AM (mht8P) =========== Alfred Hitchcock's last silent movie is called The Manxman, and it falls into that weird pre-code era when morals were still very high generally but there wasn't a mandate that bad guys get their comeuppance at the end of the movie. The man who impregnated the girl promised to another man got the girl, but they went off in shame while the other man just went back into his fishing boat the next day, broken. The movie's not exactly great, but that ending is definitely interesting, especially from a historical perspective. the problem with donuts are freshness. If you buy a box of Krispy Kreme at the gas station, or at the grocery store, they have likely been made three or four days ago, and have started to really stale out.

Posted by: Cato, Collectivism Delenda Est at May 06, 2020 11:26 AM (J+mig) all well and good, but I think my Shadow Personality is not very feminine at all. Honestly, that's been out in the open for decades - Ted Kennedy, Clinton, and so many others. They know it and they are OK with it, at least in theory (see: Nina Burleigh saying she's blow Clinton). The feminists made their deal with the devil long ago: they will support any monster, no matter how truly monstrous, as long as he supports legal abortion. MSNBC: Whites Pushing to Reopen Economy Are Racist
Posted by: Bertram Cabot, Jr. at May 06, 2020 11:28 AM (aKsyK) +++++++++++++++++ If you lost your job -- let's be clear -- you can go and get a job. There are jobs in grocery stores and jobs in these essential professions where people are going out and risking their lives to ensure that people can put food on the table -- people can go to the hospital and get all of their needs met. If you need a job, you can go get one. I think part of the problem is that those people want to reopen the economy without even giving one ounce of consideration to the workers which allow this economy to run, and that is a really big disconnect between what the protesters are talking about and what's actually happening. When America gets COVID, black America is dying, Rev. She seems nice. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at May 06, 2020 11:47 AM (hYcqw) 267

"... pleading for an end to unbridled consumerism and a
'radical transformation' of economies to help save the planet." Yes, sorta. An end to unbridled communism in China, and end to WallStreet profits of China's slaves and pollution ... changing the economies from slave labor to "fair wages" via an end to replacement of the American Worker via third world slavery. Save "the planet"? Well, save Liberty first, but sure, we all want clean air/water, healthy food ... I'm all for government oversight ... which means an end to the drugged fish/shrimp from China, no more toxic mold drywall, no more contaminated foreign drugs, no more fentanyl (China China China). The best part of the outrage age Grennell is that Ratcliffe is undergoing confirmation hearings. The first time Ratcliffe was nominated, he had to drop out because enough of the Senate Rinos signaled that they were going to reject him. So, Trump appointed Grenell as temp director and renominated Ratcliffe.
Now, Grenell is doing even more than they were worried that Ratcliffe might do, and if they turn down Ratcliffe again, I think Grenell gets to stay in the office til October. Posted by: Tom Servo at May 06, 2020 12:01 PM (trdmm) 364
