Good Morning Morons today is Sunday, March 15, 2020. On this date in 1916 President Woodrow Wilson sent 4,800 troops over the U.S.- Mexico border to pursue Pancho Villa. Villa escaped.

As I posted over and over in the past few days out political communists are using the so-called coronavirus to call for all kinds of shit they have wanted forever. In the words of Obama's favorite commie, Rahm Emanuel, never let a good crisis go to waste. The thing is that almost all of the shit they are screaming for has absolutely nothing to do with the virus and the only reason they are not laughed out of the room is protection from the MFM.

It's really a tragedy old classic Disney films are now being censored from the Disney streaming service to satisfy a handful of SJWs. And the new Disney films are crap because they care more about PC shit than making a good film. I'm just glad I have almost all of those old classics on DVD and Bluray. Morons if you don't have these old classic gems you best get them before they completely disappear.

I was just reading. The UK and Boris' government are drawing up some serious "measures" to fight corona. In the next 20 days, they're going to order all seniors over 70, the highest risk group, to stay home and isolate. Anyone who develops respiratory symptoms will be ordered to isolate at home, and that will include the entire family. They've got very few ventilators (socialized medicine) and are starting up some crash program to manufacture more of them. The govt. is going to buy all them. No amount is too many, they say. The damned army if necessary, will be deployed to protect hospitals and *food supplies* and enforce rationing. The army is also drawing up plans to set up field hospitals, with tents in hotspots to handle overflow. So a bunch of Brit MASHes all over the place. You can be sure that the feds have similar plans being drawn up. Posted by: publius, Rascally Rapscallion of a Poperin Pear at March 15, 2020 06:24 AM (rCwaK) 32

I was just explaining to Mrs. DIG yesterday that there is a basically a constant demand for TP, because we all pretty much crap at a constant rate. (Total demand is primarily a direct relationship to population, is my first order assumption.)
So, a run on TP only means that people are increasing their personal stocks. Once they get tired of overstocking, supplies will return to normal. I think this would be a pretty funny business economics case study. Posted by: Deplorable Ian Galt at March 15, 2020 07:09 AM (ufFY8) 99

Well, hello there! How are you?? Our issue last week with the cups was that there wasn't a garbage can so people just put them back in the holder, possibly touching the other cups. Still better than people dipping the bread and their finger tips into the cup... Our governor banned gatherings of 250 or more and our church is going virtual. I'll be watching on Facebook Live a little later. Posted by: Mama AJ at March 15, 2020 08:57 AM (wSGZR) 294
I have been wondering about loss of some liberties that we take for granted after this mess - similar to how airline travel changed after 9/11. The mayor of Hoboken is exactly what I have been fearing. I'm not panicking about supplies, these are artificial shortages, I'm panicking about our liberties.
Posted by: LD at March 15, 2020 08:45 AM (KxVME) As I said last night, in the spirit of "never let a crisis go to waste," this is a perfect opportunity for the left, the MFM and every little tinpot Hitler infesting a mayor or governor's office to see just how much they can get away with and how far they can push people. And the sad thing is that not enough people - that I can see - are fighting back. For example, the imbecile governor of MA has forbidden gatherings of more than 250 people. If this were still the "cradle of liberty," groups of 251 people would be popping up today, tomorrow and the next day, holding signs daring Chaaaaaaalliie to come arrest them. Do not doubt that the Deep State is watching this and taking notes. Posted by: Mary Poppins' Practically Perfect Piercing at March 15, 2020 08:58 AM (2JVJo) 295

Is that the one on South Cedar? If so, did you happen to notice if they had any 62 grain 5.56?
Posted by: hogmartin at March 15, 2020 08:55 AM (t+qrx) --- They had lots of 5.56 but I didn't check the bullet types very carefully. There were some holes in the deeply-discounted stuff (which is to be expected). Their 9mm was going for basically online-level discounts so folks swooping in on it is not unexpected even without the panic. If you don't mind getting ripped off, Dunham's near Frandor has lots and lots of just about everything. They did that even during the bullet bubble. But their prices kind of suck. Champaign IL Mayor Deborah Frank Feinen has issued an executive order that would give her office "extraordinary powers." She has issued the order despite the town and surrounding area not having a single case of the disease.
Here is the list of other items from the declaration/executive order, which also includes the ability to ban the sale of "food, water, fuel, clothing, and/or other commodities, materials, goods, services and resources," in addition to alcohol and gasoline. Additionally, government agents or officials have the ability to seize private property and to cut off the city water supply. The mayor justifies everything "in the interest of public safety and welfare." Posted by: TheQuietMan at March 15, 2020 08:24 AM (d4SMW) And the fact that a baying mob hasn't shown up at her house to drag her out to the nearest lamppost proves my point. I understand about people wishing to do online services to keep people safe but I don't have the capacity to do that.
For as much time as I spend on the internet I also HATE the idea that we be glued to the little screen 16 hours a day. You can shop from home, do schoolwork from home, work from home, order things online and now do church from home. Maybe we can go all day everyday without contacting with a living person except our family. Oh, brave new world. Posted by: FenelonSpoke at March 15, 2020 09:04 AM (WI7YS) 309

Well, if it's an officially declared state of emergency, I would think they could. It's worded as a "halt" to gatherings of 250 people or more. Churches can still meet and have smaller services. Posted by: Mama AJ at March 15, 2020 09:11 AM (wSGZR) 316
133 I posited last week that the driving factor behind this Wuhan virus panic is the high mortality rate it has on older people with underlying health issues.
The median age of congress and the MSM's "thought leaders" (*snort*)' is pretty high, and they all hang out together. I bet you can't drive a toothpick through their assholes right now. Posted by: CrotchetyOldJarhead at March 15, 2020 07:39 AM (saIjW) Most of the churches in my area have announced they are closing for the next two weeks, and from emails among friends of mine and others I know, I realize it's all of the older congregation members pushing this. I don't know why they can't be satisfied with just staying home themselves. Posted by: Tom Servo at March 15, 2020 09:13 AM (V2Yro) 317

Sunday TP Report -
- Hit three local stores and all are completely wiped out of toilet paper, tissues, napkins, and any similar paper product except the 'Happy Birthday' ones (which will be a nice touch for EOTWAWKI). - All bread gone. Except raison bread and a couple of packs of whateverfellonfloor bagels. Nobody gonna tough that. - Lunch meat and sliced cheese - gone. Block cheese untouched. So f you can use a knife, you are good to go. - All water gone. People are even taking the distilled water. The high end bottled water looks like normal stock. Who buys that ritzy water anyway? People with money. How do these people have money - they know things... they know something is up and are not panicking. What do they know?
