Transgender Book Readings Now Scheduled For Virginia Elementary Schools

When did learning about a bizarre sexual subculture become elementary education?

Part of compulsory taxpayer-funded, government-provided elementary education, I should specify.

The normalization of the transgender agenda hits public schools in Virginia and other states this week. Activists in the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and the National Education Association (NEA) team up to encourage a day set aside to celebrate transgenderism. Volunteers will read three books chosen to help young children understand a very adult topic.

The event is called Jazz & Friends National Day of School & Community readings. The three books chosen for this year’s indoctrination are: "Julian is a Mermaid",
I am Jazz", and "They She He Me: Free to Be!" Family Research Council (FRC) is encouraging parents to keep their children home from school.

The Family Research Council explains:

The anti-Christian Human Rights Campaign and their pals at the powerful National Education Association are pushing public schools to recognize this Thursday as “Jazz and Friends National Day of School & Community Readings.”

One of the books they are promoting is I Am Jazz, a transgender propaganda book designed for children. It is based on the real-life story of "Jazz," a child who was convinced that he was born in the wrong body. As a child he was injected with hormones to block his normal sexual development, and recently he had radical surgery to complete his "transition" to another sex. Which, of course, is impossible.

Activists groups are trying to make the reading of this book an annual event.

The day will be used to promote gender deviance and LGBT politics to vulnerable children. Not all schools are doing it. Yet. But some are.

In one Arlington, Va. school, "mystery readers" are scheduled to come and read to the children. The school has not revealed to parents who they are and what they will read. Wow.

Meanwhile, people are horrified at a TikTok video showing a tranny drag queen suggestively -- sexually -- crawl up to a tiny little girl and "embrace" her at a
"Drag Brunch."

You know how a stripper might crawl like a cat to pick up a five dollar bill on the stage? That's how this tranny approaches a child.

A "Blessing of Liberty," David French called these drag events.

A viral TikTok video of a drag brunch shows a drag queen suggestively crawl up to a child before embracing her.

TikTok user Amelia Marino posted a video Feb. 9 captioned "Drag Brunch realness" that shows a room full of people watching a drag queen suggestively dance towards a little girl seated on a chair in the middle of the room.

....

Banks, who is dressed in jean shorts that expose the drag queen's buttocks and a black long sleeved leotard, first crawls towards the child and hands her something before dancing away to the song "Lose Control."

The video shows the child look around the room at those watching the performance before Banks dances towards the child again and embraces her.

The little girl's foot can be seen shaking before Banks embraces her.

So many Blessings of Liberty.

Do you all feel Free now?

Meanwhile, David French, who supports forcing local governments and elementary schools to inflict bizarre sexualized pantomimes on little children, gloats over PragerU losing its lawsuit against Google.

David French is hardcore libertarian when it comes to Google and leftwing companies' rights to exclude whoever they like, but when it comes to Christians wishing to not do bake cakes for gay weddings, well, that's a different story, you know.

Yes I know he supports a very limited "right," offered only to those who can prove a "sincere religious objection," and only usable after hundreds of thousands of dollars and years' worth of expensive litigation. He doesn't support the general right that anyone can decline business to anyone else -- which would be a real right, a right you don't have to spend a half a million dollars to actually use.

He wants to keep all those intrusive laws on the books. Just with very limited and very costly carve-outs for Christians who can prove they're Christian.

For everyone else -- forced Drag Queen Storytime Hour.

And for the leftwing corporations -- well, sky's the limit as far as freedom goes. They can refuse to associate --- refuse to do business with -- anyone they want, no questions asked.

28 This will not end until the money spigot is turned off. Here is Mannix's plan to fix this problem:
- School choice through a universal voucher system. Immediately. In each district, set the voucher value to 85% of the last three years' average per-pupil costs.
- Public schools are privatized. Immediately. Attending yesterday's public school requires the use of the voucher. It's private now, like everything else.
- Fixed minimum standards that can be objectively tested. History, reading, writing, math, sciences, civics. Any school that fails to achieve a 75% pass rate is ineligible for vouchers the next academic year - death penalty for those schools.

Don't think your state is immune. Do you think it would be any different if the Ds ever had complete control, however brief, of Georgia or Texas?

This has been building for a while, but I think many moderates in Virginia (those who don't really follow politics much, but vote fairly regularly) were convinced by various media markets that the Republicans were backwards and Trump horrible, etc. The Republican party didn't help itself by not running candidates in tons of districts. However, a LOT of people who either didn't vote or voted for a D who replaced an R are not happy with the radicalism shown by the new legislature. It will be a long two years in Virginia, but I wouldn't be surprised if the GOP retakes at least one part of the VA legislature next year.

"Make your own platform" is bullshit because high tech firms cartelized. This is flatly illegal under antitrust.

Want to make your own platform? Go ahead. Don't try to accept electronic payments, though - the payment processors will banish you. Don't try to bank anywhere - the banks will end you. Don't try to use server colocations or datacenters - the operators will banish you. Don't try to use the cloud - the cloud providers will banish you. Don't try to advertise - the ad networks will banish you. Don't depend on peering - the backbone telcos *might* banish you.

So yes. Build your own platform. You'll be perfectly successful so long as:
- You have your own facilities
- You have your own bank
- You have your own payments processing network
- You have your own network big enough to muscle in on peering
- You have your own backbone-scale infrastructure services like DNS
- You have your own advertising network

Unless you have all of that - that is, unless you have your own fully integrated high-tech economy - the cartel will rub you out if you uppity.

It's called "conspiracy, in restraint of trade or commerce" - otherwise known as a "cartel." It is flatly illegal and the master class in Silicon Valley does it constantly.

96 This will not end until the money spigot is turned off.

112 I love trans people (my sister is one, as the Horde knows), but celebrating trans culture in K-12 is going to mess up heteronormative kids that diverge at all from the standard gender norms. It might save one trans kids but will mess up a dozen others. I was a huge tomboy and a very sensitive child. I can promise you were this taught to me as a kid, I might have wondered if I was trans or actually gay.

And drag queens should NOT be anywhere NEAR children. Anyone who has seen a drag show knows the WHOLE POINT of them is to be sexual. Everything from their stage names to their dialogue to their act is chockfull of sexual euphemisms. Some playful, but most are tackily overt. That is the point, to flaunt sex and wave a middle finger at what is socially accepted. I do not see most drag queens toning that down, even for young children story times. And as we can see in the vids leaking out, they are not.

I didn't say it would happen. I said it was necessary if the problem is to be fixed.

A more straightforward partial solution is the standards element. Fixed minimum, testable standards. If your districts fail, then no more federal money until you stop failing. This isn't ideal, but it would probably be an improvement.

182 Do they tell the kiddies about the 40% suicide rate among the "transgendered" or do they just pretend it's all sunshine and lollipops after you have your body mutilated and pumped full of synthetic drugs to try and maintain your delusion that you're a sex other than the one encoded in your DNA?

Do they show them photos of the surgery sites, so they can see how lovely they'll look after the mutilation, and do they explain to them how, for example, the surgical wound created to mimic a vagina has to be periodically re-opened, because the body, which knows it's true sex, will treat it like the wound that it is and will try to heal and close it?

Do they bring in mystery readers to read the kiddies the books written by "transgenders" like Renee Richards, who say that "transitioning" is not what it's cracked up to be, and it doesn't actually turn you into a different sex, and you're gonna have to live with the disappointment of knowing that you're still just pretending to be a sex you're really not?

Yeah, that's what I figured.

183 96, The money spigot will be turned off sooner or later, the next real financial depression will pretty much coincide with the public employee pension liabilities and something will have to give.

The sovereign debt crisis is still a thing and while Trump's economy has staved off the wolf from the door presently, the long term fundamentals indicate that public spending has to be curtailed to a sustainable level. That will happen much sooner in places that cannot borrow anymore money at reasonable rates as the interest payments outweigh any new spending--IL, CT, NJ are prime candidates. CA is in a massive downturn. When you are borrowing to finance government pensions, it is not sustainable.

Things that cannot go on, will not and there is a top to tax rates that at some point produce reduced revenue no matter how much you raise it.

Run for PTSA executive board. Its a small time cxommittment (I served as pres., execs vp, and secretary different years all while practicing law full time) and gives you access to other parents, $$, and most importantly, the faculty decision makers. They will be moved by parents who are involved and who control the $$, believe me.

Chomksy, of all people, has the right of it, in warning the left not to start a physical conflict.

Let's examine this strategy:

1. Create huge amounts of demand for arms, ammo, and training by way of threatening bans on such. People stockpile absurd amounts of arms.

2. Demonize your rapidly-arming opponents

3. Fuck with their kids.

4. Promise to tax the fuck out of them, red flag them, disarm them, and have the state take their kids

5. ???

6. Lasting political victory!

201 There are really two things that destroyed Virginia.

1. Beginning with Chuck Robb, and culminating in Dick McAuliffe, the level of corruption at the polls reached a level not seen here outside the far southwest. (Which was legendary as "The Fighting Ninth"; they actually had gun battles over ballot boxes.)

2. The big item - which is NOT the "demographic change" that is so much in vogue - is of course the concentration of DC, and its lackeys, in NoVa. Without them, we wouldn't be deep in the shit hole we now inhabit. With them there is no likely escape. When I was young in the 70s many of us saw it coming, and advocated building the Great Wall of Fairfax.

This already true. Administrators are in the hook for failing schools. They can't control how much time their students commit to their studies. You know, things that would actually improve student test scores. But what they can control is "teaching to the test" and allow test re-takes. Things they do now.

Also, when we were in school, we were given daily homework. You show up to school without your homework done, you get a zero. Now, homework is discouraged by administrators. Thus, no more zeros.

270 This is right at the core of why I can't be a libertarian, and never could. The idolization of autonomous freedom cannot lead anywhere else. It is an example of Sowell's "unconstrained" view, at it's philosophical root.

It is also simply not true that freedom is, strictly speaking, a good at all. It is a necessary precondition for an action being good. But in itself it cannot be an ultimate end; it does not answer the question "Why did you choose to do that?" to answer "Because I chose to."

Not that I don't support many of the actual laws and policies advocated by libertarians when I was young. I do. Even then, the argument was essentially philosophical, not political. Of course, libertarians nowadays are a rather different breed from my old friends. I suspect few of them would be found dead in a ditch with the current crop.

One of the all-time classic linguistics studies tried to determine what was the "most beautiful" and "ugliest"-sounding words in the English language -- to non-English speakers. Totally divorced from the words' meanings -- which ones were the most melodious and least melodious to the human ear?

It's essentially impossible for English speakers to determine this, because we are incapable of segregating a word's sound from its meaning. So if you ask an English speaker for an example of a "beautiful sounding" word, they'd say something like "butterfly." But really, if you think about it -- are the sounds of the word "butterfly" beautiful?

So what the researchers did was read thousands of English words to thousands of overseas non-English speakers who had no idea what he words meant, and asked them to rate the words according to how beautiful or ugly the sounds were.

The winner and loser?

Based on sounds alone (not meaning), the word that was rated the most beautiful in English was...

diarrhea.

And the ugliest word was...

303 A repost I put up this morning about the Prager U decision by the 9th Circuit:

I feel great sympathy for Prager U., but I suspect they pursued their case for the publicity it would generate. Legally, it was a very foolish claim to push, and I have to say that it would have been greatly damaging if the 9th Circuit had found in their favor. This is a situation that must be solved legislatively, NOT judicially, and if the Legislature cannot act then it cannot be addressed.

Consider this: If Prager U. had won that suit, Ace could be personally sued every time one of the coblogs used the banhammer on a troll. And that is not an exaggeration. Prager U.'s claims were legal poison, even though they were being treated most unfairly.

Not every harm has a judicial remedy.

DNS over HTTPS is going to break intranet apps as well. There's really no good reason they are doing this other than THEY want to track you along with your ISP.

321 278 Without reading French's screed, I can tell you it's almost certain a slight of hand.
It'll be cherry picked stats with limited data he extrapolated to suggest a broad trend
Nor will it address other, potential causes (hint: an improving economy that he's loath to give proper credit) while making a correlation-causation fallacy

How can I guess that without reading?

Because he's a liberal and that's what liberals do

Posted by: RoyalOil, Vicroy Canadian Territories at February 28, 2020 12:32 PM (vPKfA)

You're correct(though he's not the only one to use this particular set of false stats).

Divorce rate is down because less people are marrying. Other stats, abortion, illegitimacy, kids in broken homes % are down because men and women are so alienated from one another that they're having substantially less sex. So basically the stats reflect our population entering a further stage of collapse.

You are absolutely correct. The communists put the community over the individual and libertarians put the individual over community. Neither extreme is tenable in real life.

Conservatism, has both the virtue and weakness of extolling both with the idea that communities are limited in affecting certain of the individual's rights necessary to be politically and economically independent and that individual's rights are limited in order to keep a community viable. To do that means that sweeping dramatic pronouncements become quibbling about the proper boundaries of the limits on community and individuals instead of embracing a heroic vision of individual or community uber alles.

Indeed. Historically, you could either be a "common carrier", like the phone company, that had to provide services to all, and which had no responsibility for the content (e.g., the phone company isn't responsible if someone slanders someone else over the phone) or a "publisher", like a newspaper, which had full control of the content, but which also had full responsibility that content.

The Facebooks and Googles want it both ways. Full control, no responsibility. That needs to end.

354 303 A repost I put up this morning about the Prager U decision by the 9th Circuit:

I am convinced that a number of fed level medical "civil servants" have set us up for a clusterfuck, intentionally, in order to take a jab at PDT. People who should be quarantined, are not. Those who should have been tested weren't.

408 352, Romeo13,
And that campaign is doomed to failure--you cannot kill ideas, you can only bring them out into the open and debate them. That is what kills an idea.

Conservatives, to some degree, were actually stupid about this regarding communism as they described the effects of communism without ever getting into why the theory was bat shit crazy to begin with. It uses an analogy of the natural communism found in families for structuring a whole society. However, without the force of love and Christianity, the whole thing topples to the ground as everyone seeks what is good for themselves and their loved ones.

Tech oligarchs are doomed to failure in censorship as is the left because even if the communication is through passed notes, the ideas cannot themselves be killed.

Liberals understood this, but we have been importing leftists and leftist thought that thinks that they can--they will lose.

The only question is whether or not the suppression efforts turn bloody in society.

416 Heinlein had his character Podkayne, who was a human girl raised on Mars, comment on the various Earth languages she'd encountered. She said that French sounded like a catfight, that Spanish sounded like honey dripping from a jug, and that German sounded like someone being strangled. Not so sure about the Spanish -- it sounds more like knives clashing -- but the other two are true.

But it depends on how it is used. Greg Giraldo had a great bit about Arabic and how harsh and awful it sounds, but when he heard a couple of cute young women speaking it, it sounded kind of hot. Delivery can make a huge difference. German doesn't have to sound like a screaming SS agent. French can sound beautiful or slurred and drunken. Spanish can be harsh or lovely

True. "Je t'aime" lends itself to spitting; I suspect no Western language can beat French for sounding contemptuous. But it can also be uttered softly.

As for Spanish, I recall the title of one short piece I had to read in high school: " 'El Alcazar No Se Rinde!' " You can hear the challenge fairly ringing in that.

Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice at February 28, 2020 12:45 PM (fUqBx)

I disagree, and I think a big part of the problem is that many laypeople misunderstand the difference between a "liberal" judicial philosophy and a "conservative" judicial philosophy. Because it uses the same words, it's easy to think that it is related to the political uses of these words, but it isn't.

The decision by the 9th Circuit *against* Prager U. was a very Conservative legal ruling, one that any Conservative Judge would completely support.

A conservative judicial philosophy was best personified by Antonin Scalia - a Judge is to look at the plain language of the Law, and also at how it has been applied for the last 230 years, and then rule on that basis, without any regard for how he wishes that case to turn out in favor of a sympathetic defendant.

A LIBERAL judicial philosophy, on the other hand, says that the OUTCOME is all that matters, not the law, and thus the Liberal Judge will pick out who he wants to win first, and then he will manufacture some reasoning which would allow him to supersede the legislature and allow him to impose his will on the case.

In the Prager U. Case, the plain language of the Constitution states that it only applies to Government actions. You cannot sue a private party on that basis. Period. Only a very Liberal Judge could find any differently.

School administrators used to be responsive to the community they served. Anymore? not so much. Now the Fed/State can come in and declare your school failing and has the power to remove those administrators. They aren*t going to do anything to jeopardize that by challenging the students with rigorous course work. And I*m sure the swag kickbacks don*t hurt either.

447 Does anyone know anything about Pence's attempted live corona virus conference yesterday? CTH has a post on it yesterday with a 9 minute youtube clip. At 4 minutes there is a rude question from a reporter and at 6 minutes all hell breaks loose ... seems to be the reporter and crew being ejected.

CTH and first few comments did not even mention the incident. The youtube comments explained a bit. So I did a search on youtube for "pence coronavirus livestream" and the longest segment I found was 12 minutes. I assume the other reporters went sufficiently hysterical that they had to end it. There was a 9 minute clip of Pence on Hannity ... but Hannity.

I'm hoping ace will pick this up.

They are 'othering' entire realms of thought.

Most people do not think about the issues themselves. They follow the herd. Thus BLM is GOOD! All lives matter somehow Racist! And if you speak out in public saying all lives matter, you will be attacked, OPENLY.

Same with the Gay agenda. Anyone who disagrees with ANY of it has been 'othered', and is open to attack.

The Tech Giants are now in the position to take those positions, and normalize them further, to where you can't even dissent effectively in the public square.

Its all well and good to pass a note to your friend, but if you cannot speak that idea in the public square, it will not affect the vast majority of people.

That does happen with the CDs. They sometimes override the teachers' selection and decide strictly on price, not value. However, this school district let the ELA teachers vote on the vendor and it was the teachers' vote for the easier path, not a CD's decision to override the teachers.

Things are going to get shitty. Not end of the world shitty by any
means, but it's going to suck more than just a moderately severe flu
season. It's not just the ill, it's the supply of hospital equipment
shuddering to a halt.

I think if it was going to get that bad, it probably would have
already at least started. Instead there are a few hundred cases
worldwide other than in China. And most of them are Chinese or Korean.

Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at February 28, 2020 12:46 PM (KZzsI)"

I'm going to post this just one more time, primarily because people are going to shit all over me for it;

There are not "just a few hundred cases worldwide". You are woefully out of date. Italy and Korea provide a good contrast with each other:

- In Korea, they had a deliberate spread of the virus (church was worried about PR, and so instructed followers to disperse and try and spread it to other churches, so the outbreak would not be pinned on them) combined with extremely aggressive testing. Their extreme number tested will likely give us the best idea of true mortality in that type of population, but it will take ~3 more weeks for the results of the initial rounds of cases to shake out to be able to crunch the numbers.

- In Italy, they are testing less, but still an order of magnitude more than the US, in a population not primarily composed of asians, and without an initial deliberate spread. However they're also going to miss more of the milder cases, and miss more cases in general, inflating the apparent fatality rate.

Italy still has a shit-ton of cases and may or may not be able to contain it. My guess is on not, simply because they've already since spread it to half a dozen other EU nations, that we know of.

Best guesses for CFR for this in the US are around 1%, leaning heavily towards 80+, smokers, and potentially (Italy will help tell) certain racial populations. That is still several times the regular flu, but that's not the really bad news; the bad news is the severity of the portion of cases that require hospitalization for a couple of weeks. That is a big fucking deal.

At this point in the US, we simply *do not know* if it's gotten started, nor will we know with any amount of warning unless the CDC completely unfucks their testing. They made some bizarre decisions in regards to centralizing testing, then came up with a set of requirements for who got tested that makes no goddamned sense whatsoever.

There are thousands of people running around loose in the US now, under "pinky-swear" home quarantine, that in Italy or Korea would absolutely have been tested, and in many cases put under no BS quarantine. CDC didn't even try - and not only did they not try, they deliberately chose to keep themselves and everyone else in the dark.

PDT turning info control over to his team (Pence) indicates to me that he knows they've tried to fuck him. The results of that fucking remain to be seen.

We could be at the same stage as Italy, right now - and nobody knows. South Korea tested tens of thousands of people - symptomatic and contacts - in a week. CDC did less than a hundred.

Complete, absolute cock-up.

Alcohol-based sanitizers kill it. N95 masks will stop aerosolized droplets from getting in if properly fitted.
Posted by: Brian in New Orleans at February 28, 2020 01:00 PM (CQ3Qb)

My understanding is that masks will slow the OUTWARD spread of the virus, becasue if you are a carrier you are not as likely to spread the virus all over the environment when you cough or sneeze.

516 That does happen with the CDs. They sometimes override the teachers' selection and decide strictly on price, not value. However, this school district let the ELA teachers vote on the vendor and it was the teachers' vote for the easier path, not a CD's decision to override the teachers.

Schools should be free of this sort of brainwashing. If you want your children to know about such deviance, teach it to them yourself, on your time. Not at school.

No, it hasn't - there's still a leftist majority on the 9th. There are 29 judges total on the 9th circuit, and currently 16 are liberal, and 13 were appointed by Republican Presidents, 10 of those by Trump. At the beginning of Trump's term, 20 of the 9th Court Justices were hard core liberal, so it's improving, but it'll take time.

and remember that most rulings are made by 3 judge panels, so it's very easy for 3 hard core liberals to make rulings for the 9th Circuit, which is what I believe happened with both of the immigration cases today.

They'll go to the Supreme Court now.

If you are sick and wearing a reasonable mask, it greatly limits your snot particles from spraying all over. If you are not sick, a really good mask will stop you from breathing in too many.
Alcohol hand sanitizers are good and better than nothing. Wash you hands while whistling the Jeopardy theme and after you are done dry your hands in the form of a question.
Now I am off to Costco to buy two more 40 count TP packs and see if any bleach is left. Wearing my paint respirator, goggles, and rescue orange coveralls. Fun is where you find it.

Posted by: Brian in New Orleans at February 28, 2020 01:11 PM (CQ3Qb)"

This is flat out wrong. The tests are not very reliable, only about 70%, and even then that's only on whatever sample you have that has the most virus in it. So if you take 4 different samples, it's common to run all of them twice.

Even so, other countries are managing to test TENS OF THOUSANDS with just a few days notice.

CDC didn't fail to test because they couldn't. They failed to test because they didn't authorize anyone else to run the tests, and didn't authorize more of the kits to be produced.

There are dozens upon dozens of places in the US that could make and run these just fine. CDC told them to fuck off and do nothing.

The left is jumping on this weeks late as a political football, assuming the CDC's fuckup was incompetence and not deliberate. But it being a football doesn't change the fact that they fucked up.

If we had the level of spread that Italy does right now, we would have no way of knowing because the CDC testing protocols explicitly excluded cases that would be the result of community spread. Even with the modifications they made yesterday require CT scans and advanced pneumonia before they'd test.

541 The public drive to tell people that masks don't do any good comes from two things:

- They actually aren't really going to keep many people from catching anything, because people are idiots; they'll wear a mask all day and then go do stupid shit to infect themselves.

- The powers that be are willing to ditch the utility of masks preventing sick people spreading it to others, because healthcare facilities are currently panicking as they try to re-order masks and other supplies and are told that new orders aren't shipping until March, if at all. They're trying to leave more supply for healthcare providers, some of whom are already scrounging masks from any source they can find.

551 Is 'pecksniff' the right word for David French?

Did you catch the most recent IRS 990 for the National Review Institute available from proPublica? It covers the calendar year 2017.
Compensation packages as follows:
Jack Fowler (publisher): $220,000 per annumRichard Lowry (editor): $423,000Lindsay Craig (Pres, NRI): $330,000Kevin Williamson: $128,000David French: $166,000Ramesh Ponnuru: $212,000Jonah Goldberg: $209,000Kathryn Jean Lopez: $128,000

National Review has fewer than 50 employees. Their board approved a compensation package for Richard Lowry similar to that received by the President of Stony Brook, the state university on Long Island. Stony Brook includes a university medical center. The compensation package for Lindsay Craig resembles that of the President of the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Jack Fowler's resembles that of a number of medical and dental specialties. Jonah Goldberg's and Ramesh Ponnuru's that of a primary care physician; David French's that of an airline co-pilot; while Lopez and Williamson's resemble that of a 2d echelon business executive in an ordinary firm.

Posted by: Art Deco at February 28, 2020 06:53 PM (1BrBu)

552 David French has nothing to say about the Sherman Act, he has nothing to say about the natural monopoly of networks, he has nothing to say about Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, or about violations of terms of service. If YouTube were found to be a publisher, because it decides who can post to its site and who can earn ad money and who can have neither, lost its Section 230 protections today, it would be inundated by a tsunami of copyright violation claims tomorrow and declare bankruptcy on the third day.

The blackface business was just humbug, and merits no attention. There were serious charges against the Lt. Governor which require investigation. Grotesquely amusing how scandals just evaporate when they're inconvenient to the Democratic Party.
