Liberal Rag "The Hill" Whines and Cries: ICE Arrested Illegal Aliens Outside of a Court House, Despite California Law That Says They Can't!!!

Here's the thing, Cognitive Elite: Federal law trumps state law. You've relied on that yourselves when you've forced a liberal ideology on a country that did not want it.

Remember gay marriage? Would you like to cancel federal supremacy, and get rid of gay marriage?

Let us know.

If you now resent federal law trumping your state law, you have one option: Secede, bitches. We'll be glad to see the backs of you.

Here's some liberal whining from our objective and professional media.

Who are also Enemies of the People.

Undocumented immigrants arrested in California courthouse — despite state law

The 2019 bill prevents civil arrests on courthouse grounds while a person has a hearing pending.

By
Alexandra Kelley

ICE agents arrested two undocumented immigrants in a California courthouse on Tuesday.

This is a direct violation of state law.

The two men are reportedly from Mexico and have several prior convictions and outstanding charges.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents reportedly violated a California state law that prohibits immigration officers from arresting undocumented immigrants without a judicial warrant on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.

...

Both arrested men are from Mexico, according to Justin Moor, a public affairs specialist at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Moor explained that the men had been arrested before. Antonio Hernandez Lopez has pending charges against him, including domestic abuse, a DUI and witness tampering. Lopez also has prior convictions for a 2005 DUI and a 2009 local ordinance conviction, according to Moor.

The other man arrested was Pedro Romero Aguirre, who, according to Moor, also has "five criminal convictions spanning more than a decade, such as trespassing, driving without a license, and a DUI."

Doing the jobs Americans just won't do.

An Act of Love.

40 There is no such thing as an "undocumented immigrant", just as there is no such thing as a "hate crime".

And the marriage redefinition disaster is not a good comparison, I think.

There you had the judicial system usurping what is clearly a cultural issue it had no right to decide, with the usual ridiculous rationale ("equal protection"). Federal vs. state wasn't even really the point.

And with immigration, there is absolutely no doubt, since we have no internal borders, borders immigration and sovereignty are a federal issue, period. Conceptually, constitutionally, statutorily.

My suggested tactics require no new law. Though the completely absent backdrop of *any* political effort, whatsoever, to properly politicize and make this issue toxic for elected officials would help, and might even help enough to get many needed new legislative changes.

But episodic tearful appearances with Angel Moms, and a few ICE actions long over-due, are what we're going to get.

And the legal immigration/labor front is looking like Army Group Center about January '15. The GOP is chomping at the bit, may not be able to resist on ag labor, and the administration is continuing to put Americans last on the Hs and Bs.

I thought the greenies and animal rightists demanded that cows sleep in feather beds and have city wide roaming rights?

Cows produce better milk when they are well cared for. Testing by various ag colleges showed that cows who were protected from the elements, listened to music while they were milked and had plenty of pasture time produce significantly higher protein and fat percentages in their milk.

So I think stuffing them into little boxes so their poots don't create free-range methane bubbles might be construed as inhumane.)

Wind power here can do at least to suck out the air from an internal chamber, to operate an airlock, and to operate a computer room [per Rodrigo Borgia: using vacuum-tubes, as it will be hot but low pressure].

What I'd like to know is, if I've compressed the air on the inside, can I pump some of it through a tube exposed to the outside, where it's 700 K and 5-6 MPa, cooling down this compressed air? so I can let some of that back out on the inside. Humans and electronics will do better at 300 K than at 700 K.

Or does my coolant have to be liquid, meaning the usual refrigeration cycle used in Australian mines. Liquid sodium or (better) sulphur will work at these pressures and temperatures but both are very reactive (although sodium might not react with other metals). I have no idea what form of metal pipe I could use to keep sulphur coolant on the inside. Also they'll only get me down to 400 K.

True enough, but I think the idea is that the carbon in the cow fart methane isn't a fossil fuel, but was instead removed from the atmosphere when the crops for the cattle feed were grown. So the overall carbon balance is neutral.

That doesn't make it not a cockamamie idea, but slightly less of one.

The experimental liquid metal fast breeder reactors were sodium cooled, and (in a slightly less exotic application) there used to be (and maybe still are) high performance automobile engine valves that had sodium cores. So there are ways around the corrosion problems.

On return, CBP in Erie would board for an ID check. I could never figure out why they didn't do it at departure from Buffalo, as there were 4 or 5 brief stops before Erie, giving opportunity for somebody to get loose in the interior.

It's been 11 million as long as I can remember.

360 I've thought for a long time the IRS should be weaponized to go after immigration.
Every illegal working here is committing some form of either tax evasion or identity theft.
They don't all work for cash mowing lawns.
Eventually they will self deport if life is made miserable for them.

Mandatory e-verify would do it. You *will* have an I-9 on record for all employees. You *will* put that through e-verify. If you don't, you're fine 1% of your enterprise value per offense.

If e-verify kicks it back, you must terminate employment or file an appeal within 14 days. If you don't, same penalty.

Illegal alien employment opportunities would dry up right quick.

Still find the idea of attempting to harness an entire species' flatulence hilarious.

Me too. I suggested to the guy that we ought to have sail-powered vehicles, and that we put a fan on the rear of the car to generate the requisite wind.

He looked thoughtful. Another start-up idea in the hopper.

I think Tacoma Park MD (close enough to an HOA) has such a law on the books!

I just assume anyone I meet face to face is an absolute lunatic these days. Fortunately I work from home so I don't meet many people. Plenty of crazies online though.

There was a report somewhere in the last day or so that cow burps were worse than farts. Because cows burp every twenty seconds or so.

365 In *Virginia?* A state with 8.3 million people and
that is nowhere near a border? That implies 1.2% of the state population
is illegal and it isn't even in a high-risk geography?

Assuming that figure for the whole country puts the illegal
population at 42 million. It might be higher - lots of parts of this
country are in higher-risk geographies.

Yeah, that 25 million number they always push is total, unalloyed bullshit.

High energy density batteries are intrinsically dangerous. If the get damaged or short out, it starts a roaring pyrotechnic fire that can't be put out. The fuel and oxidizer are in the same device in close proximity. It's like a can of solid rocket fuel. Once it starts it can't be stopped. One of the reasons I will never own an electric car.

Some guy got burned up in a Tesla-- the battery pack ignited and the doors wouldn't unlock.

368 Lot of grow operations on federal land. DEA used to arrest on pot busts. It IS still illegal under federal law, which is why pot shops have to be cash.

Feds could squeeze if they wanted too.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Right. Something that has TWO THIRDS support of the American people is something you think the feds should just say "fuck it" and counteract state law.
I'd love to know what other broadly popular measure (66% per Gallup) is still contradicted by federal law, but not enforced, that the super smart set thinks should be back on the table for enforcement ?
Do you have any idea how tiny the minority opinion you are part of on this ?
Eight years ago 64% of people said the feds should stay out of states where it's legal. That's when support for legal pot was still under 50%. Now, it's up to 66%. So what do you think the numbers are for people opposed to the feds counteracting the law in those states ? 75% ? 80% ?
Yeah, that's a super winning issue. Let's hear some more of your brilliant political ideas.
There's potential for this to get sideways. If people see you frantically packing your car, screaming "I gotta get out of this city!" . . . well, that could affect the experiment.
Yep. Einstein also was a fan of Tesla, and informed that it was too successful, it's stock price is $1000/share. As if that has any bearing on a company's success.
I didn't have the heart to ask him what Enron's stock price was before it collapsed.
He laughed and said Oh boy, yes.
380 In re Neagle (1890) the US Supreme Court ruled that federal officers are immune from State prosecution when acting within the scope of their federal authority.
Ironically this case involved a fatal shooting in California in which a former Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court assaulted an Associate Justice of the US Supreme Court who had ruled against him in an appeal of a US District court decision. When a US Marshal shot and killed the ex- Cali Chief Justice the state tried to charge the marshal with murder, but the USSC forbade the prosecution.
