White House Pondering Shrinking the NSC, Starting With Firing the Pudgy Fat-Ass "Lieutenant Colonel" Vindman

The White House is reportedly weighing options to dismiss Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman from the National Security Council (NSC) in an effort to shrink its foreign policy bureaucracy, a report said. Bloomberg reported that the White House plans to frame it as part of an NSC staff downsizing, not a retaliation.
So, you may be wondering: Which leftwing outfit is pumping out that weapons-grade spin? CNN? MSNBC? Nope -- FoxNews. "The Fair and Balanced alternative." The "conservative-leaning" news network. The same network that just leaked an internal report from their "Brain Room" savaging their own contributor John Solomon and claiming there's nothing at all to his Ukraine reporting and that Joe Biden is totally innocent and framed by RUSSIANS. Strange -- that sounds a lot like CNN!
Vindman had drawn applause from spectators during his testimony before the House Intelligence Committee -- after expressing his love for America when asked how he overcame his fear of retaliation. "Congressman, because this is America. This is the country I have served and defended, that all of my brothers have served. And here, right matters," Vindman said. "I knew I was assuming a lot of risk. [My father] deeply worried about [my testimony]. Because in his context, it was the ultimate risk."
I very much assume that "has been obtained" means "was leaked to us from one of the leftwingers in the Fox brass."
Fox News' own research team has warned colleagues not to trust some of the network’s top commentators’ claims about Ukraine. An internal Fox News research briefing book obtained by The Daily Beast openly questions Fox News contributor John Solomon’s credibility, accusing him of playing an "indispensable role" in a Ukrainian "disinformation campaign."
Wow! Using all the same "disinformation" deplatforming pretexts as CNN.
The document also accuses frequent Fox News guest Rudy Giuliani of amplifying disinformation, as part of an effort to oust former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, and blasts Fox News guests Victoria Toensing and Joe diGenova--both ardent Trump boosters--for "spreading disinformation."
Here's the entire leaked Fox attack on Fox contributors, served up to allies in the openly liberal media.
The 162-page document, entitled "Ukraine, Disinformation, & the Trump Administration," was created by Fox News senior political affairs specialist Bryan S. Murphy, who produces research from what is known as the network's Brain Room--a newsroom division of researchers who provide information, data, and topic guides for the network's programming. The research brief is especially critical of Solomon, a former opinion columnist at The Hill whose opinion pieces about Ukraine made unsubstantiated claims about its government interfering in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Solomon’s pieces for The Hill fuelled Giuliani’s efforts to dig up dirt in Ukraine, which eventually helped lead to Trump's impeachment. Trump has also frequently cited Solomon reporting on Twitter in his own defense. While Solomon is portrayed on Hannity’s show as a crusading investigative reporter, the Brain Room document accuses the contributor of taking part in a Ukrainian smear campaign. "John Solomon played an indispensable role in the collection and domestic publication of elements of this disinformation campaign," the Fox briefing book notes.
Had enough yet? I can't tell you all the things I know, but I can tell you, vaguely, that: 1) Journalists who have specific areas of subject-matter expertise, and who are therefore competent to make conclusions based on primary documents, are told that they are forbidden from reporting their own conclusions, because their conclusions, though both expert and, oh yeah, true, are a "conspiracy theory." 2) A high-profile journalist had important scoops about the general subject of the Russia hoax consigned to the website only, and were blocked from any mention on the air, due to the Fox News Division brass deciding that the thought that any suggestions that the FBI or Mueller were biased and corrupt were also a "conspiracy theory." I know a lot of things. I know that FoxNews' culture is actually quite liberal, and even where it's borderline Republican, it's Paul Ryan bullshit. And that's as conservative as it gets. FoxNews can be made to Learn to Code too.

As for Vindman being moved out that should have been done the moment he was found to be a leaker. Just how many from the NSC work at the WH? Get rid of most of them, shouldn't need more than 2 or 3. That's an example of bureaucratic bloat that needs to go.

John Solomon is a national hero. But that's my opinion.
What isn't my opinion is that there are a lot of lies packed into that excerpt. Solomon has provided evidence for all that he has written. Not necessarily proof (those are not the same thing), but always at least heaping mountains of evidence.
This kind of "reporting" tells me something, and that is that these people have nothing left. The tank is empty. All they have now is the politics of personal destruction and nothing more. They are attacking the men and making bald assertions about their produce in order to justify the personal attack.
This entire excerpt is nothing but unsubstantiated personal damage.
Our press whores aren't worth anything. If they were literal whores, they'd be the ones on a street corner in a very bad part of town with ripped stockings, visible open sores, caked-on filth and a sign reading, "I have AIDS but at least I'm full-price."

the wife accidentally caused the annoying stray cat I feed (out of guilt/annoyance) to die.
Damn thing darted into our garage when she was taking the dog for a walk. The garage door came down on its neck somehow and it smothered to death while she was out walking. Came back to dead cat.
She was pretty shaken up and the cat of course voided its bowels, soaking a box of 5.45x39.

Family takes cancer hard. I (only) have/had breast cancer and not stage 4, and my husband really broke down. The hardest conversations were when I talked to my family. I have a lot of brothers and sisters and my parents, well, I broke down more when I talked to them.
And the number of appointments is exponential. You cannot imagine. You are always in the hospital for a very long time, and lots of follow ups even after the first year. It's tough. Both my husband and I were tired because we were in this together. It's rough. Especially at the beginning, going through chemo.

Not supposed to shave on chemo, etc. You cannot have any cuts. I don't think he started chemo, but shaving is a no no. You become too susceptible to illness and cannot fight it in that state. There are a list of do's and don'ts.

What is the point of the NSC? I understand the need to feed intelligence into the executive branch, but what about the NSC makes it vital? It seems to be a breeding ground of corruption and intrigue. It deals in intelligence so this is probably natural, but why the NSC and not something else.

I want that status gone. A lottery system is a nice idea to replace it. If Iowa stopped being first in the nation every cycle, we might actually reverse some of the ethanol fuel standards.

I read how it became important. From wikipedia:
After the 1968 Democratic National Convention protest activity, Democratic Party leaders decided to make changes to their presidential nomination process by spreading out the schedule in each state. Because Iowa had a complex process of precinct caucuses, county conventions, district conventions, and a state convention, they chose to start early. In 1972, Iowa was the first state to hold its Democratic caucus, and it had the first Republican caucus four years later.
So what about that -

Iowa was important for Democrats, so now it's a thing.
