Saturday Morning Coffee Break

IMG_4807.jpg

(H/T Legally Sufficient)

***

Good morning Horde. The first Saturday of February, just where the hell has the time gone?

Let's take a look at a few stories that didn't get their fair share of attention here at the AoSHQ.

***

  • Hope they have lots of vacation time banked.

  • BBD - AKA Buffet Buster Deluxe. No not Ana Navarro.

  • I thought you plugged them in.

  • What's a Coffee Break without a Florida story?

  • Do you care for red or white?

  • Even a dog can shake hands.

  • Why do they call it common sense? It isn't common.

  • If they have Fox Sports North I would subscribe.

  • Naughty church.

  • Painting, a dangerous occupation.

  • You can't take it with you when you go.

  • Major league lazy ass.

Hey, enjoy these stories or something else that trips your trigger this morning in this open thread.

Just a couple of rules, no running with sharp objects, no pulling any 'ettes hair and for heaven's sake, don't pee in the pool. After all we don't swim in your toilette.

    Have a great weekend!!!

I met her a few times too, because we used to hang out with a couple of her kids occasionally 29 or so years ago and she was always around them. Absolutely delightful woman. She had that rare quality of seeming totally focused during conversation (unlike so many people), and she has a really nice family. I confess I had no idea who she was at the time, and I've still not ever read any of her books but RIP and our best wishes to her family.

58 The democrat/media complex's greatest asset is the memory hole. No one remembers what the democrats did to pass Obamacare. Few remember even what they did during Kavanaugh. Some do, of course, but for most, life goes on and if the story isn't in front of your face, who cares?

Likewise with what they did to Roger Stone.

If we were able to propagandize with half their effectiveness and persistence and keep these stories alive, they'd be in trouble in ways they never are.

82 19 It is interesting that the top story over at Daily Mail is that Fotis Dulos dude, and not Brexit.

You'd think they would cover the biggest news story for their country over the last three or so years, but no. They want to talk about some guy gassing himself in Connecticut.
    __________________

Yeah, it's weird how they obsessively cover some local crime stories. They've had lots of headlines about the Dulos guy, a womanizer who apparently murdered his wife during a nasty divorce/custody battle. A few months back they were obsessively covering that Chris Watts guy in Colorado, another husband who murdered his wife (and kids) because he had a chick on the side and the family was in the way. They've also given a lot of space to that weird rodeo dude who beat his CO baby-mama to death with a baseball bat because he wanted sole custody of their kid, and he had another girlfriend.

So if you've got a U.S. story about a philandering white guy who kills his woman because of some kind of domestic issue and then hides the body, you're pretty much guaranteed daily headline coverage in the DM!

Princeton downtown was once a community of privately owned stores and restaurants. A couple of restaurants remain, but the stores are basically chains. We thought it would kill the downtown, but it didn't. Princeton is far too snobby to go to the mall. It did lose it's local feel. Some PA towns still have this, but chains are encroaching there too.

After seeing my sister's husband dying in a freak accident and the major thing saving their family with young children,

was his extremely generous life insurance policy.

I immediately upped mine and the lovely and delightful Mrs naturalfake's life insurance policies to very generous levels.

So far, she hasn't murdered me.

I think that's a bare-ass minimum requirement if you're married with kids - to make sure your family thrives should your ticket get punched.

After the kiddos graduate college then you can lower it to more reasonable levels - remembering that your wife is probably going to outlive you by 4-6 years under normal circumstances.

Because, as you look back, this was always a media pressure campaign.

They were going to replay Watergate--so all they needed was one Republican senator to call for Trump to resign.
They knew they'd never get the base to agree. Or even a majority of the Republicans in Congress.
But, they were certain they would get a few in the House.
And just one senator--to publicly call for his resignation.
Before their bluff was called in the trial.

    Bluff called

People talk a good game about supporting local business, but they are mostly price conscious. This happened with a local craft store. Women came in like it was a show room, and then ordered the stuff online for a better price after peppering the owner with questions and using her time. I felt bad when the business closed, but the volume dealers have the advantage. And this applied to lessons as well as merchandise. There are a few online sites for crafting lessons where the yearly "all you can eat" type fee, falls below the price for a single in person class.

The hilarious thing about AOC and Hilary and Bernie is that they think they'll still have all the power and fancy stuff and nice houses once they're in charge, instead of sobbing on their knees in front of a ditch with antifa standing behind them. But if they had the capacity to think things through, they wouldn't be commies in the first place.

284 People talk a good game about supporting local
business, but they are mostly price conscious. This happened with a
local craft store. Women came in like it was a show room, and then
ordered the stuff online for a better price after peppering the owner
with questions and using her time. I felt bad when the business closed,
but the volume dealers have the advantage. And this applied to lessons
as well as merchandise. There are a few online sites for crafting
lessons where the yearly "all you can eat" type fee, falls below the
price for a single in person class.

Look for a salve that's coconut oil based. That seems to work best. I was using plain coconut oil as a skin cream for a couple of years before CBD cream came out. It's great all by its lonesome.

You know, it's hard to tell exactly with these idiots, but-

I believe that Pelosi and the DNCe/MSM's general plan was a four year long leak fest of damaging rumors about orangemanbad,

leading up to an October Surprise of some sort right before the 2020 election (maybe the vote for impeachment?)

What they obviously didn't count on was how emotionally unstable and intelligence deprived their baseline foundational Dims were and their Maoist cronies like Schiff and Toothy McBigTits were.

They kept fingering them in their special spot until they were all hot and bothered for Impeachment Now!!!

Cuz everyone (they knew) hated orangemanbad and he'd get impeached and then Hillary! would become President! Or perhaps Pelosi after Pence folded under fake charges like the GOPe would.

They were too stupid to realize that their game wasn't aimed at Dim voters cuz they already had them.

It was aimed at us. Trump supporters.

We were supposed to be so sick and tired of the constant storm of allegations that we'd not vote for him come November or diminish voting so they could easily cheat their way into a Senate majority.

Bu-u-u-u-ut, they blew all of that up with their incompetent, retarded, Fake impeachment.

Now, no one believes them at all. They've blown their wad.

The Dims will continue on with their original plan.

Fine. Whatever. But now, it just makes people mad and more determined than ever to vote for Trump.

    Great job, a-holes!

    Please keep digging.

The "community" of crafters moaned when this woman shut down, but it was a social community not a buying community. There were some temporary social groups formed after the store closed, but these are defunct a year later. The "community" was illusory.

Exactly. My friend always worries about the community, like he was put on the planet to serve the community, but the community don't give a shit about him. Personally, I like supporting local business. I never buy music gear online. A lot of musicians like me used to spread the money around, buy from all the local stores, because if you have a problem they generally take care of you. If you buy a guitar from my local store, you get a free setup and tweaking, and basic long term care. Not that I need that because I do my own work, but its great for the average buyer. You don't get that shit from an online purchase. In my friend's case people buy online, then come to him with an attitude to have it fixed, and then bitch some more. WTF??

If she does, she probably fishes on Plainfield Pond next town over. Place is usually busy. I had the unfortunate situation of going through the ice there years ago in about 4 feet of water. I don't ice fish anymore.
