The Morning Rant

talking ape.jpg

Progressives' Greatest Hits of 2019

"HATE HAS NO HOME HERE!" shrieked the violent antifa goon as he pulled the elderly man out of his wheelchair and beat him senseless.

"WE'RE NOT THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!" screamed the talking heads on CNN as they called for the doxing of the Covington students.

"DOWN WITH CAPITALISM!" the Cadillac commie furiously typed on his MacBook Pro over the Starbucks' free Wi-Fi while sipping his soy latte.

"THE PRESS DOESN'T TAKE SIDES!" shouted the WaPo reporter as she posted a photo of herself and her colleagues celebrating "Impeachmas".

"THIS IS DONALD TRUMP'S FAULT" squealed Gavin Newsom as the homeless man dropped trou and took a huge dump in the produce aisle of the San Francisco Safeway store.

"HOW DARE YOU!" snarled Greta Thunberg from the first-class luxury section of the train.

"DIVERSITY IS OUR STRENGTH!" shouted the limousine liberal from his gated community.

"WE SPEAK FOR ALL WOMEN!" proclaimed the Women's March organizers as they disinvited the pro-life women.

"DONALD TRUMP IS A SLEAZY AND UNETHICAL ATTENTION WHORE WHO IS WITHOUT HONOR!" yelled Michael Avenatti.

"THERE WAS DEFINITELY A QUID PRO QUO!" testified the diplomat who wasn't there.

"WOMEN MUST BE PROTECTED!" screeched the feminist who was leading the pro-abortion protest.

"WE NEED MORE KINDNESS AND CIVILITY IN OUR PUBLIC DISCOURSE!" shouted the enraged woman wearing a 'Fuck Trump' T-shirt.

"THIS IS WHAT A MALE FEMINIST LOOKS LIKE" hollered Joss Whedon, Matt Lauer, and Harvey Weinstein.

"A PERSON WHO THINKS ONLY ABOUT BUILDING WALLS IS NOT CHRISTIAN!" pontificated Jorge Bergoglio from behind the walls of the Vatican.

"IMPEACHING DONALD TRUMP IS SO SERIOUS IT HAS TO BE DONE RIGHT NOW AND WITHOUT DELAY" insisted Nancy Pelosi just before she left for the usual congressional month-long vacation.

"NOBODY NEEDS A BILLION DOLLARS!" bellowed millionaire Bernie Sanders from the living room of his 3rd house.

"THERE IS NO DEEP STATE!" shouted John Brennan as he clutched the illegally obtained FISA warrant.

"I'M A SERIOUS JOURNALIST!" exclaimed Rachel Maddow as she argued in court that her on-air statements were not intended to be interpreted as factual.

"DONALD TRUMP'S REFUSAL TO SAY THAT HE'D RESPECT THE RESULTS OF THIS ELECTION IS THREATENING OUR DEMOCRACY!" wailed Hillary Clinton.

"WE MUST DRASTICALLY DECREASE OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT!" bawled the climate activists flying around the world in their private jets.

"I'M A SERIOUS PERSON WHOSE SERIOUS OPINIONS OUGHT TO BE SERIOUSLY LISTENED TO!" shouted the actor who was paid to pretend to be someone else.

"HANDS UP, DON'T SHOOT!" screamed the menacing thug as he assaulted the store clerk.

"YOU TRUMP SUPPORTERS ARE ALL SUBHUMAN MORONS, NOW VOTE FOR ME INSTEAD!" shrieked several Democratic presidential candidates.

Posted by: SMOD at January 03, 2020 10:53 AM (3aI0K)

Al Mahdi recently resigned as Iraqi PM, he has always been very pro-Iranian. A deadlock has resulted in the Iraqi legislature, and no new PM has been named, so he continues in a caretaker role.

Reading between the lines of a lot of reports, it seems likely that Al Mahdi and Iran's Shiite Militia's were planning to launch a coup to take over the Iraqi Govm't and invite Iranian forces in to support it. Soleimeini would have been the architect of this plan, and he would have needed to drive the US Embassy out of Iraq to accomplish this. It's likely that he was traveling to Baghdad to personally take command of this operation.

Iraq stands on the brink of another vicious civil war. It was just about to start, with the Shiites holding the upper hand - but now their faction has been decapitated, and the US is taking a very active role. Abd Al-Mahdi's statements are not a surprise, he would have been the one issuing the invitation to Iranian troops.

There is nothing "disproportionate" about killing an enemy commander, in a war zone -- where U.S. troops are deployed according to proper legal authorities -- who is planning and executing attacks on U.S. personnel.

Mankewiecz does most of the prime time, sadly, but there's also an Australian chick who I like a lot more, and the film noire guy on late Saturday nights and Sunday mornings is pretty good. Remember all those "roadside bombs" and "IED's" that were killing US troops every week by the handful?

That was mostly this Iranian shit. Yeah.
______________

That PJ Media article about this diced Salami a-hole says the U.S. military was keeping a list of the dead U.S. servicemen killed by the IED's that this terrorist dirtbag was responsible for, and the total was over 500.

In 2015 the Israelis were following grilled Salami and had a plan in place to take him out, when the Obama administration got wind of it. Obama's people called the Iranians and WARNED them that the Israelis were coming for Salami, and he got away.

F*cking traitors.

"Best Years of Our Lives." When he's having a flashback while sitting up in the B-17 nose in the boneyard.

By the way, watch Jimmy Stewart's performance in the sequence from "It's a Wonderful Life" when he freaks out over losing the money in front of the family and he's ready to kill himself.

He's channeling his experience as a squadron commander over Germany. It's very tough to watch when you realize that is the context and why he was virtually unhireable after coming back from the war. PTSD right there.

It could indeed be an "Oh no!"

Iran is increasingly broke and desperate. If their dictators think their hold on power is becoming tenuous, they will over-react. They are immoral and evil and capable of any perfidy.

We did what we had to do - attacking an embassy abroad must never go unpunished - but it may indeed engender their response, which may well be reckless. A war with Iran would not be a great thing. I hope they do not make it necessary. If they do make it necessary, I hope that we make it as fierce, brutal, total and short as possible.

There is a 55 gallon per person per day water use limit that drops to 50 gallons in 2030. Water agencies will be fined if they miss target goals based on the number of customers. Fines can be up to $10,000 a day for missing targets. And you know who would wind up footing that bill. It most certainly won't be the municipality.

I think so. If you wanted to hand the Middle East over to Iran, rather than keep it in the hands of the existing dictatorships that kept their people under control, what would you do any differently than what Obama did ?

Barry was in love with the idea of Middle Eastern self rule, just as much as "W" was. The biggest difference was Barry didn't mind a Middle East that still actively hated, hunted, and beheaded Americans. As a matter of fact, I think that was part of the charm. Barry loves our wealth, and hates everything else about us.

295 There is a 55 gallon per person per day water use limit that drops to 50 gallons in 2030. Water agencies will be fined if they miss target goals based on the number of customers. Fines can be up to $10,000 a day for missing targets. And you know who would wind up footing that bill. It most certainly won't be the municipality.

+++++++++++++++
50 gallons per day. I'm a single guy. Let's game it out.

I take a shower every day, lasting an average of 15 minutes. Assuming a typical flow rate of 2 GPM, I am at 30 already. I also drink, but not much - maybe a half gallon. I flush the toilet 2-3 times a day most days, because I work in an office. Assuming 3.5 gallons per flush, There goes another 10.5 gallons. I'm up to 40.5.

I live alone and don't make a lot of dishes. I run the dishwasher every other day. At about 6 gallons per cycle (assumption), that is another 3 gallons per day. I'm up 43.5.

I do laundry. I run one load a week. Let's say that's 30 gallons, because it's an older unit. That is a daily average of 4.3 gallons. I'm up to 47.6. Add in losses and rounding, and I'm at the average limit.

Scale that up for a household of four, where the kids play sports. You get an allocation of 200 gallons for that family. per day, or 1,400 gallons per week.

The four showers will consume, probably 850 gallons per week. There are probably six loads of wash per week. If you have an HE unit at 15 gallons per run, you're at 90 gallons. Dishwasher is probably a daily affair, so there's another 42 gallons. Toilets get a lot of use. Probably 12 flushes a day seems like a reasonable figure, which brings you to about another 300.

Just bathing, washing, dishes, and toilets brings my hypothetical family of four to almost 1,300 - leaving you with a meager 100 gallons for everything else - like drinking and cooking - every week. I hope you don't need to do any other kind of laundry. Or water some plants. Or have a leak. Or take a bath (or bathe your young children).

This is all reasonable, though. It's far more reasonable than, say, trimming some obscene wasted expenses and finishing the California Water Project. That wouldn't be very green at all.

It's hard to read this and not think about how many civilians US
generals have killed in Iraq since 2003, for what virtually no one
argues in hindsight was a legitimate objective. They're better than
Soleimani because ---why, exactly? Have these people ever once thought
about this?

By all means, reply with your convoluted justifications! But my guess is
for most of these people it's just a deep-seated, unexamined belief
that America and its troops are uniquely good and a willful refusal to
learn any lessons from history they consciously lived through.
The invasion of Iraq was an enormous and lethal crime. Almost no one
seriously argues otherwise now. But the same people unwilling to defend
that decision are also unwilling to learn anything from it. It doesn't
color their understanding of US foreign policy in any way.

He understands that the US military is directed by civilian leadership/POTUS, right?

Soleimani and Iran had been very successful, and no American president was willing to make them pay, even when we knew it was them. This appears to be because the red thread in our government actually supported them (as became evident under Obama). The left's plan involved a complete shift in the region ... toward the hardliners of Iran ... undermining what we (allegedly) were trying to accomplish in Iraq in the first place (? ... a democracy?, or at least a marginal ally/beachhead for US?)

My guess is Pompeo and some others (Flynn laying groundwork years ago, reason they had to destroy him?) ... are pushing the reset button ... that is why the whole Trump/Russia charade had to be pushed so hard. DeepState was on board ... I think. We shall see what is next ... Iran still has "troops" all over Iraq ... crying.

Easy. First, they gradually upgrade the urban areas to use "smart" water meters - makes things easier! No more nasty blue-collar meter reader coming to your house!

The penalties start out based on averages to the utility. The utilities pay and then bleat about their bottom lines to Sacramento.

Sacramento agrees to a penalty rate to "abusive" customers. The utilities target high users based on usage history and sends them crippling bills. Many of these do not get paid.

The utilities then lobby Sacramento for cost abatement. Sacramento offers to reduce and cancel penalties if the utilities will forcible upgrade in-house physical plant to be more "water wise" through lower-flow toilets, showerheads, faucets and appliance rebates. The costs of these upgrades will be defrayed through a new subsidy from Sacramento.

The utilities undertake the scheme. Water usage falls by 2%-5%. The fines and penalties keep coming.

The utilities lobby Sacramento for permission to go further in their usage reductions by controlling smart meters to limit flow to reduce overages. Sacramento agrees, but only if they have a way to notify customers in real-time.

The utilities use their "mobile app" for real-time notifications. A modest discount on water rates is furnished if you use the app and enroll in auto-pay.

The utilities then start restricting endpoint flow through the smart meters. Customers squawk and some move. Rate fraud increases, as does theft of water. Meter readers (any that are left) and utility workers are targeted for violence.

The utilities lobby Sacramento to protect them.

Assume rage-stroke positions.

California tells us that 80% of the water goes to agriculture, and 20% to residences.

That's a lie. That's how much goes AFTER 50% comes right off the top for the effing delta smelt, a three-inch long baitfish.

So the true breakdown is: 50% for the guppies, 40% for agriculture, 10% for residences.

And the 10% decrease they demanded for residences? Amounts to 1% - one fucking percent of the total water. But it's a crisis, doncha know?

Iran will have to retaliate regionally.

So Israel, SA, perhaps other regional allies will feel it.

Beyond that, terrorist sleepers in Europe.

Possibly they make a move on USA with terror cells.

Maybe take a shot a POTUS and provide cover for the deep states attempt at POTUS.

Now they are limited in what they can accomplish. They were hoping to take over Iraq politically without firing a shot - and got pretty damn close.

When they least expected it, they got Trumped instead.

The 1% doesn't matter - but getting the residents of California to obey the 1% matters quite a bit. Because then they'll obey the next dictate. And so on and so forth.

The only thing about this ban that worries me is that more people will leave California - and vote for the same stupid shit wherever they land. Frankly - I'm for states having at least a residency requirement to vote in State Elections. It would somewhat help slow down the migration of retard.

However, the CA government obviously thinks it's possible, through the alchemy of writing the right legislation.

Clearly, he was killed in action in a "combat zone". He chose to be there, and was part of a war-waging effort by Iran to take over Iraq. A lot of Iraqis (including Shias) are not happy about what Iran has been doing. Barry Obama encouraged them to invite them in to fight ISIS when his incompetence allowed them to grow unchecked.

The 1% doesn't matter - but getting the residents of California to obey the 1% matters quite a bit. Because then they'll obey the next dictate. And so on and so forth.
