1 I went out today. Someone last year said they always bought turkeys on black friday. Glad I didn't pass on the pre-holiday special cuz the birds were back to standard price today. But I did get the horse feed I needed and bought a ham that was still a decent price.

80 We have started the 'family tradition' of having brunch in the morning, everyone brings something, and buffet is nice and relatively stress-free. With all the toddler grandkids, I just thought it made more sense for me to have the little brunch and keep things relaxed before the kids have to get dressed and on the road to the inlaws. Traveling with toddlers can make holidays a nightmare, so a small gathering before the high drama works well for us on all the major holidays.

211 had a really delicious sample at Trader Joes, their new sour cream doughnuts.

then, about 30 minutes later, it became apparent they are made with soy...and it was an unpleasant hour or so, which may have passed already.

which is to be devoutly hoped for, as opposed to running for the bathroom for the next 24 hours.
