Had an advanced college math class with that one asshole who, in every class, continually asks the professor "Is this going to be on the midterm?"

After one midterm, the kid protests "You said this wasn't going to be on the midterm!" The professor -- normally humorous and mechanical -- rubs his hands together, gets a mischievous look on his face, and says with maniacal glee "I lied!"

144 Since it took me half an hour typing while flitting around, I willowed myself. So, repost:

Good Morning, Horde!

Today it's my turn to regale (and possibly bore) you with my preparations for our Thanksgiving feast.

Just got the turkey on the smoker 10 min ago. Wed night, I brined it with maple syrup (hey CBD, at least it's not French Toast!), brown sugar, Kosher salt, whole garlic cloves, and a poultry bouquet (fresh sprigs of sage, rosemary, and thyme. Scarborough was a bit too far to go for herbs.

Smoker is set for 225, but I expect it to run about 5 degrees cooler. It's a Traeger and 40 degrees is the boundary temp for whether to use the insulating cover. Of course it's 39.5 degrees out now. Rather a bit cooler and run it hotter and 15 min longer at the end than fight it being too hot all day. I am using apple wood.

Yesterday morning, I took the bird out of the brine, let it drain on a cookie sheet, dried it thoroughly with paper towels, then double bagged it in shopping bags. You know the ones. The kind your college neice's boyfriend says only get used once and will kill Gaia.

Now I never brined a bird the stuck it in the fridge for 48 hrs. I am usually putting it on the smoker at 0530 for a 1230 carving time, so this is new territory.

I toyed with the idea of leaving it unwrapped. Hey, CBD, I know there's some French cooking term for leaving a bird uncovered on the counter for a bit. Something to do with changes to the skin. Like I said, thought about it, but it's a holiday meal for others, so not really time to experiment.

After drying and cleaning and drying the cookie sheet, bird is back that to be painted in more maple syrup. Hope CBD's not gagging. Liberally (the good kind!) rubbed with rotisserie chicken spice mix. Got a big ole container of that at the bulk foods market in Amish country. Colorado Spice Co brand.

Put the bird in a one-shot aluminum roasting pan along the neck, amputated tail, giblets, and half inch of water. I'll pluck out these after a few hours (measured by convenience not cooking time) and then makes some stock. Likely 3 hrs or so.

Mrs IMG and I will share the stove today. She's making a barrel of smashed taters. I am baking some rolls and at the last minute making gravy.

Won't get over to F-I-L today. Prolly tomorrow. Had a nice (one sided) chat last night. Sure hope there's a lil spark left inside listening.

Ladies all leaving in an hour to meet the funeral director.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. They truly are a comfort.

217 From the "... Hatred of Western Society is the Disease" article:

"All Americans should support Israel because Israel is a civilized country similar to the United States in terms of culture and values. .... Egypt is not free, and Gaza, the home of the "poor oppressed Palestinians," is not free. American values say Americans should side with the world's free countries and not dictatorships like Turkey and theocracies like Iran."

As we decouple from China, our new economic alliances will probably involve less free nations, and at times alliances with Egypt or Saudis will involved some compromise on our Western values.

Iran without a theocracy would perhaps culturally better fit in the Western sphere than Egypt, India seems not so free really, but a better ally than Pakistan, Mexico and points south have a more Christian culture yet are narco-states mostly ... the path toward a Western culture dominant grouping of Nation States aligned with US ... We need a better comprehensive vision of what SuperPower USA is looking for in our future partners.

Vietnam and Malaysia will take up some slack as we decouple from the Chinese efforts to conquer. At home though, we have domestic enemies seeking their own New World Order run by DeepState, and/or the commie SJW Google/FB assault on freedoms. Brexit is challenging the parallel assault on the UK.

Lots of big decisions ahead ... we need more than conservative judges, and we really need some prosecutions.

This is why I object to the repetition of the term "pedophile" when people talk about this guy. He might have sampled the product himself. He probably did.

But what he is most famous for, and the reason he died, is not because he liked young girls, it's because he supplied young girls to the rich and powerful.

The CIA and spook agencies the world over have networks where they get off-the-books cash. The blackest black budgets are those that are off the public books entirely.

They can hide stuff in a myriad of ways, but when they really need money they don't want anyone to be able to trace, including their own paymasters in Washington, they use other sources.

You're probably heard the persistent rumors of CIA drug running. I believe it, and believe they get tons of black cash for it.

Another way to get billions would be to compromise the world's billionaire boys clubs and officers of big corporations. Get them on tape fucking jailbait, and they'd be yours. They could get you all sorts of money.

That's what was going on.

I kinda see abstract painting like jazz music. Although I genuinely love some abstract art, whereas very little jazz appeals to me.

However, the point being, sometimes you assemble an artistic collection of seemingly random notes, and it really does add up to art.

Sometimes it's just cacophonous noise. And sometimes the so-called "artist" knows he's created shite, but still puts it out there anyway, because he doesn't think you idiots will know the difference.

And there is seemingly no end to the number of rich and powerful pedophiles of the world.
Posted by: Prince R Andy at November 29, 2019 10:48 AM (BiNEL)

I think when people can't quite wrap their minds around the idea that so many rich and powerful men are wanting underaged girls... and/or boys, for sex partners, there's a piece of this that should help it make sense:

Imagine you ARE rich and powerful. You can have anything you want, seemingly... and this dovetails to the very cogent point Trump was making with his "grab her p**sy" statement. Men who can have all the high priced ADULT women they might want, eventually get bored. It's like every other addiction, a tolerance develops, and you need more and more of your drug to get you chasing after that same high you got the first time.

Well, when it comes to gorgeous women, it pretty much amounts to the same thing, regardless of how good looking they are.

So your "high" has to come some other way. That's why hetero men will jump in bed with other men. Or trannies. So it's no stretch that many of them will gravitate to younger and younger. It's the thrill of the hunt, the high one gets, like it's the first time all over.

Money corrupts. Power corrupts. Sex corrupts.

Why, it's almost like the Bible knew what it was talking about.

Not all of them take up the offers of jailbait. I remember reading about parties Epstein would have. The idea was to get the rich and famous there, offer them the jailbait(and other appetites, no doubt) and get it all on tape.

There are some who want no part of that, and get the hell out when they see what's happening.

I imagine some of these are set up. If they willingly participate, all the better, but if not, they can be set up.

The problem is, the game has special rules to protect passers and receivers. (interference, etc) If anyone can be a passer, and anyone can be a receiver, then none of those rules make any sense (or alternatively, defense is disallowed and the offense scores a touchdown every play).

Any player CAN pass (lateral) backwards on any play. That one change prevents a team from advancing the ball using such methods, but otherwise allows it.

Didja see this about the Ole Miss end zone celebration?

When Ole Miss scored with four seconds remaining in regulation, the game looked destined for overtime. That was until Rebels wideout Elijah Moore got a little too frisky when celebrating his touchdown that cut Mississippi State's lead to 21-20.

Yes, that is Moore crawling on the turf and pretending to pee like a dog (in homage to DK Metcalf) - a celebration that drew a 15-yard penalty. Instead of setting up a normal extra point, the try was 15 yards longer than usual.

Predictably, Luke Logan pushed his kick to the right, allowing Mississippi State to hold on to a wild 21-20 win.

Worth noting. They're email and chat agents, HQ postin' stations, and financial management tools. They summon cat videos from the ether. They're also better cameras than single-purpose point-and-shoot digital cameras from five years ago, zap the pictures over to anyone you want to share them with instantly, and are more likely to be in your pocket when you see something that you want to get a picture of. They play music. They play games. They're only vestigially phones.

Good job, ftard. Whatever you think of the "excess celebration" rules, the players all know about them. I'd bench the idiot at least partway into *next* season (well unless he's a senior...).

399 Worth noting.

They're actually not very good at the phone part.

They gave me a work phone, made by the Borgapple, and I'm still getting used to its inferior ways. Nevertheless, I have a desk phone sitting there that is damned near useless, so whenever anyone asks me "what's your extension," I tell them to call me on my cell. It's a better phone than that stupid 80s technology piece of crep they put on my desk.

Get an older Blackberry that uses the Blackberry OS, not android. Has a real keyboard, too. Fifty bucks.

407 I've been thinking about acquiring a smart phone purely for wifi use, not for phone or phone service.

Any suggestions?

Samsung Galaxy Tablet "Tab A6"

they are about 100 bucks on Amazon or Fry's, they have a slot for a micro SD, they are purely wifi, and fit in most inside coat pockets like a dream.

I got one for my GF when she went to Seoul, since I really didn't want the Norks to have all her personal information and I knew her cell based tablet wouldn't work on that network there, but I find it very useful myself. I also now know all the free WiFi spots in my daily circuit .

My only complaint is the virtual keyboard, and should I ever get a bug about it, I will buy a bluetooth keyboard for it.
