RUSSIAN Propaganda Site Daily Caller Releases "Doctored Video" of Impeachment Hero Eric Swallwell, and Must Be Deplatformed Immediately
Plus: More Bearclaw!

This guy's underwear is working harder than Ana Navarro's spanx.

Additional thoughts on the fake impeachment:

That "Lieutenant Colonel Bearclaw" joke of CarpeDonktum has perhaps been confirmed by new reporting:

I'd like to direct your attention to this original reporting from Deb Heine from a couple of weeks back.

A Lieutenant Colonel Hickman -- who has served alongside Vindman -- reported that Vindman would routinely "bash Americans" while speaking to his Russian counterparts, usually in Russian, though there were interpreters to let Hickman know what Vindman was saying.

The New York Times claims this is "unsusbantiated."

Strange. Deb Heine was able to substantiate it with just a couple of phone calls. Perhaps the Times was not motivated or incentivized to substantiate it...?

But Hickman’s former boss, Thomas Lasch, a highly respected simulation strategist at the Joint Multinational Simulation Center in Grafenwoehr, Germany, corroborated his story on Twitter and to American Greatness.

"Jim, I remember exercise ATLAS VISION and this incident. I was your Boss at the time and was satisfied when you told me that you 'took care of it' (meaning then MAJ Vindman’s disparaging comments about the U.S. to the Russians ) and I just put things together this past week," Lasch tweeted.

Lasch vouched for Hickman in a second tweet: "Everyone on this thread should know that Jim Hickman's patriotism and honesty is unparalleled. He is one of my personal heroes." He added: "This is not about Trump! This is about an officer [Vindman] that is disloyal to the United States of America."

American Greatness was able to reach Lasch through his LinkedIn account. He verified that the recently established Twitter account in his name vouching for Hickman was indeed his.

A second individual who witnessed Vindman's troubling behavior in Grafenwoher, has supplied American Greatness with a statement.

The individual--a General Services Employee with the Department of the Army--wished to stay anonymous due to fear of retribution at his place of work and for his family.

"Yes I do remember this, LTC Vindman was uncomfortably supportive of Obama. He seemed almost self-hating of white Americans, and made comments to the Russians during Atlas Vision 13 about how, in my own words, American's are too big for our own britches and not exceptional. He also spoke in Russian and we really didn't know what he was saying. I remember giving him shit about it, then telling LTC Hickman about it, and he said something to him [LTC Vindman]. He seemed like a poor performer, not too motivated, and a bit of a sluggish officer."

Why is it that Nice Deb, who used to Guest Blog here when I took time off, can manage to work the telephone and New York Times reporters can't?

I have a cryptic tip from a source: the tip suggests that a look through four years of Vindman's CV -- four years that are not well accounted for -- would be rewarding.

I don't know what this means.

Benghazi hero Mark "Oz" Geist, and Robert McNeil, who iced Bin Ladin, don't think much of Lt. Col. Bearclaw:

The only "undetectable" poison I know of *was* succinylcholine, but some years back the cops devised some kind of gas chromatography that can turn it up if it looks suspicious, and it doesn't cause seizures.

Nicotine poisoning will induce seizures, paralysis and death, but again, if it looks suspicious, they'll look for high concentrations.

Of course, when the vic has dirt on Clintons, it never looks suspicious to cops.

Infantry officer, served active duty from 1999 to the present, and only 1 combat deployment in 2004-2005? The guy's a scummy shit-weasel, everyone knows it and actively avoids him, so he moved from the hard alpha lifestyle of an infantry officer to foreign service, where he has more power and can let his liberal/establishment freak flag fly.

Warrant Officers are (in theory, at least) technical experts in their MOS and are selected from the enlisted ranks based on a track record of suprerior technical performance. In Army the exception is Warrant Officers who are pilots and usually enter the Army directly through Warrant Officer Candidate School. They are afforded the courtesies of officer status and (again, in theory) are not in command or leadership positions.

Technically, only WO1s are mister. The rest are usually called "chief". I've seen plenty of enlisted say "sir" to warrant officers, though, and it's appropriate.

As for weight and fitness standards, you can get away with quite a bit. The physical fitness test isn't THAT hard, and you can be a fatty and still pass as long as you've done a decent amount of order. This guy's 44, so off the top of my head...2 mile run in 18:45, 31 pushups in 2 minutes, and maybe 35 situps in 2 minutes? With his position, too, he would be better setup to try and pencil-whip his scores. As for being overweight...it's a weird system where they measure your waist and neck, height and weight, calculate your body fat. I think 28% is the max? I don't know....if you're 6 foot like me and under 203 lbs, you automatically pass and don't get taped, so I don't know the details.

But then, unexpectedly, the transcript was classified above his pay-grade, and Trump released it from under them.

278 I didn't mean that. I just meant, so some go into the program not because they want to actually fight as Rangers, but because it's a necessary credential for moving up the command chain?
Posted by: ace at November 19, 2019 05:49 PM (PbpT7)

Well, no, not really.

Ranger school isn't about "fighting as Rangers."

The Army wants Ranger qualified officers throughout the combat arms portion of the Army. Is it a plus up on your "resume?" Sure. Are there people who do it because they think it pretties up their chances for promotion?

I suppose. But largely, they do it because the Army expects it.

Vindman is an Infantry officer. He may be an FAO specialty now, but he still wears crossed rifles. It is kind of expected that Infantry officers will go to Ranger school.

It sounds to me like Vindman was leaking like a sieve to Dems, and Schiff latched onto the Zelensky call as his thing.

He made up a bunch of shit about it, and picked Ciamarella as the cutout to be the "whistleblower," which would protect Superchunk's identity, and leave him open to modify the transcript for the desired "evidence" (like the Flynn 302).

But then, unexpectedly, the transcript was classified above his pay-grade, and Trump released it from under them.

Whoops! Whoopsie!

Posted by: dingbat at November 19, 2019 05:58 PM

Warrant officers are "technical specialists". They should have unmatched knowledge in their area of expertise. In the Army, many are pilots, but there are also many in maintenance, HR, and logistics. NCOs and officers work in those areas, too, but they also have other leadership responsibilities, command, etc, and may bounce around different assignments. Warrants stay very focused in their assignments, and so become experts. This level of expertise (and the fact that many are super old) leads some to not give a shit about things like formations, group PT, etc.

Posted by: Grimaldi at November 19, 2019 06:03 PM (TvbyR)

299 Warrant officers are interesting beasts.

They are officers by way of a - get this - warrant - rather than by a commission.

The military likes to have well rounded officers - they don't really specialize (despite having military occupation specialties).

Warrant officers can specialize. Stay in the same field forever. Sometimes its about technical stuff - nukes, or pilots, or something like that.

307 I have to say that I'm frankly disgusted at the disrespect shown to this brave, honorable man.

Is a kind of a fat body? Sure, and it looks like his hand to cinched into his uniform, but extended time overseas does that. He ate those Ukrainian patries with courage, honor and distinction - which I doubt no one here did.

The other day our 1st Sgt. with three Ranger tabs and two CIBs came to me with tears in his eyes, and said "If people will tweet mean things about such a distinguished and high-ranking officer, what will they say about ME on social media??"
He burst into tears and I had to give him some reassuring hugs.

Ace, we're losing the military vote. Average 11b grunts like me see the shoddy treatment given to this man and they are outraged. That's why Trump is in trouble. No wonder so many of them are big fans of Bloomberg.

In Bloomberg's army, no one will be fat. Or use straws, or have guns or smoke or swear. I can see a lot of GIs voting for that.

They're basically super-enlisted. In the UK, the highest NCO rank is Warrant Officer.

I know a guy who resigned his commission and got a warrant because at a certain point, officer-track aviators become ground-based commanders and he just wanted to fly.

The Air Force doesn't have warrants and isn't clear on why they exist.

But come on, what's a Warrant officer anyway? Seriously. In English.

In the old days it was respectful to know private corporal sergeant lieutenant and so on. Now everything is specialist grade E12 with crossfires and a 50 amp fuse.

I even try to do the whole polite yes sir officer sir sir thing when I interact with police, and they yell at me. It's not officer, it's lieutenant.

Well should I pronounce it leftenant? If you people want me to keep track of ranks you should make them easy to understand.

Well in the old old days of the Royal Navy, a WO was a slot that was not on the command track, but was specialized knowledge. Posts like Shipmaster, Ships Surgeon, Master Gunner and the like. Put in responsible positions and treated like officers as courtesy.
