Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Fusion Nat Bertrand Writes in Politico That a Previous Article -- Published in Politico Itself! -- is a "Conspiracy Theory" with "No Evidence"On January 11, 2017 -- one day before the Clapper/Tapper ring would execute the plan to give the fake dossier a "news hook" -- Ken Vogel and David Stern reported for Politico that Ukranian officials had interfered with the US elections -- on Hillary Clinton's side. Donald Trump wasn’t the only presidential candidate whose campaign was boosted by officials of a former Soviet bloc country. Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office. They also disseminated documents implicating a top Trump aide in corruption and suggested they were investigating the matter, only to back away after the election. And they helped Clinton’s allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisers, a Politico investigation found. The Ukranian officials colluded with a DNC official named Alexandria Chalupa. Because the fake dossier was given a "news hook" and reported on by Jake Tapper -- as had been arranged -- the next day, and also, of course, because the media was trying to prove foreign collusion on Trump's behalf and not Hillary's, this story didn't get much attention. Right-leaning channels keep pointing it out -- and the leftwing media and NeverTrump corporate-funded GOPe clique just keeps ignoring it. But it's never been disproved or even "credibly alleged" to be in any way false. Certainly Politico has never retracted it. But the story is inconvenient for the leftwing media/Democratic effort to execute a coup against the duly-elected President, so it has to be Disappeared. Enter Natasha Bertrand -- or "Fusion Nat" as I like to call her. She now pens an article, also for Politico, essentially claiming that the earlier Politico article was Fake News and should presumably be retracted. In an article co-written with Andrew Desiderato, she now claims that Politico published, and I do quote, "a conspiracy theory" with "no evidence" to "support" it: Two top officials who served on President Donald Trump’s National Security Council staff [Fiona Hill and Vindman] testified that they had seen no evidence that the Ukraine government interfered in the 2016 election, contradicting a claim the president has made in public and private. ... The testimony undercuts a conspiracy theory that has been pushed by Rudy Giuliani, the president’s personal lawyer, as he sought to upend the intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia sought to help Trump defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016.No evidence except for a well-sourced article published by Politico itself, quoting Ukranian officials. I mean, other than that -- sure, "no evidence" for this "conspiracy theory." BuzzFeed decided to join the MinTruth in destroying all record of this wrongthink article and now writes the Politico news article itself out of existence, claiming that this "conspiracy theory" merely comes from a "viral article on FaceBook," rather than a news organization which obviously leans very far to the left. Media delenda sunt.

GOOD CALL I have moved half my savings into guaranteed income contracts with a triple A financial company. GOOD, ASSUMING THE ECONOMY STILL WORKS. I have tightened ties with family -- the one I can depend on when times are tough. DEFINITELY. I own two indestructible Jap shitbox vehicles NO GOOD IF YOU'RE NOT THERE YET. and I own two 12 ga shot guns-- one with a rifled barrel. YOU ARE WOEFULLY UNDER-PREPARED. Natasha Bertrand, a/k/ar "Fusion Nat," is 26 years old. She graduated in 2014 with a BA in political science from Vassar College. She's also, apparently, best buddies with Fusion GPS founder Glen Simpson.
Keep this in mind when her name comes into play in connection with anything Trump. Fusion Nat had penned untold # of articles about Russia! Russia! Russia! and is propped up by the Progressive Left as one of, if not THE go-to reporter with "insider" sources on anything related to Russia (and now Ukraine) and Trump. So, just to keep it all straight, the Left has adopted Fusion Nat as their Oracle on the Mount about the misogynistic and racist GOP elected officials and the people that vote for them. Her "anonymous sources" (and let's be honest, probably a vast majority of the text she barfs into the public) are provided to her by private sector handlers that are also the paid "dirty tricksters" of the DNC generally, and Hillary Clinton, specifically. In fact, if you wanted to map out the media landscape's partisan bias, a good place to start would be to draw a circle around Fusion Nat, and then branch-line to all people and organizations that overtly prop her up and pump her into the Leftist media sensation that she is. She is literally the poster child of the the official DNC strategic collective, and that is precisely why she is heralded as the Best Journalist Ever by all of the usual suspects. Funny though. Now is the era of journalism where we celebrate those who pass through propaganda to the people. Good work Natasha. You have a very promising career ahead of you with the DNC insiders and all of the manufactured fame and glory that comes with it. Posted by: RichardWindsor at November 12, 2019 07:34 PM (DRgs8) 141

Posted by: JackStraw at November 12, 2019 07:31 PM (ZLI7S) Because in a spy thriller, even if "Mr Big" or "The Organization" skate free in the end, the hero has at least caused enough pain, suffering and death to the other side to make the reader feel that some rough justice has been meted out. There is no guarantee - in fact, I would argue that the delays, media gaslighting and calls for redaction argue against a guarantee - that anyone involved in this coup will so much as have their hair mussed, let alone face the business end of Bubba in PMITA prison. As the late Alonzo Harris once said, "it's not what you know, it's what you can prove."
Fusion Nat, 26-year old, 4-years out of college, miraculously has formed relationships with sources that consist of the highest level of Obama Administration officials, including Clapper and Brennan. Miraculously, she also regularly contributes to Politico and other top-shelf "news" organizations, is miraculously pushed breathlessly as a top-shelf journalist, is the subject of countless puff pieces in all of the regular corners, and her superior intellect and analytical powers have resulted in her conclusion that Trump, the GOP and their supporters and voters are white racists nationalists who hate gays and women. Oh, and this is all tied together by a single connection to Hillary Clinton's and DNC's paid hit men at Fusion GPS. Can we PROVE that Fusion Nat's entire career is a manufactured concoction built upon the insider connections carefully maintained by Hillary Clinton? No. But we all know it. The dumbing down, the paying of exorbitant prices for energy due to idiotic policies, the evolution of colleges halfway into toxic lunatic asylums, infringement on freedoms [depending on one's life and interests] - these affect a lot of people. The spectacular crap you hear about affects very few. In fact, it's not clear to me who would (even under Robert's guidance) be in charge of the Senate trial since idiotic democrats are doing this with a split senate/house. This endless coup shit-show is actually getting to me. These vile little pieces of shit are our actual government. Trump is holding back the worst of it -- for now.
2. I live in California. Where I live I am not confronted with disintegration of society on a daily basis, but I expect it will come to my door at some point. My house will be worth -- what -- then? Maybe nothing. Maybe no house, car, or person will be safe. It is a constant drag in the background. Always an asterisk to any action -- the footnote says "what's the point?" "246 If that happens, Trump's defense team needs to call lots of witnesses with knowledge about cash quid pro quos flowing to certain senators and their wives, including McConnell and Madame Chao.
=== let's be real, there's no fucking chance on God's earth impeachment hits 50 votes in the senate, so who the fuck cares and why would Mitch play along? This is just CNN saying things." Embrace the "if." But let's get real on one point: the GOPe-controlled Congress cannot be totally trusted not to vote to remove. The odds are quite low but not non-existent. YD also is correct about McConnell's dislike for the president's policy goals. Posted by: Trump poisoned my cat at November 12, 2019 08:11 PM (iw59Q) 256

He gainsays and makes veiled threats against the President in the media. Sometimes overtly, as with Sessions. All of his behavior (aside from the judiciary, which he'll have to live with after Trump is gone) indicates a plan to run out the clock on him. And remember, Trump's entire core agenda runs counter to his own (globalism, China trade, and illegal immigration). Who, Hillary? Don't kid yourself. She is terrified. Posted by: JackStraw ======== I'm preserving a schizophrenic view of the whole thing as insurance -- no matter what happens, one of my personalities will be vindicated. Cautiously Optimistic Blonde Morticia agrees with you on the Hillary thing. The more she hints about running and blathers on about policy and the changes she'd make and What We Need and so on, the more convinced I am that she's setting up her defense as "a potential political rival to Trump who is being attacked because of the threat she poses to his presidency." McCconnell is competent as a Senate leader. But he's no visionary. He's locked in his circa-1995 political machination mindset ("Comprehensive [________] Legislation"), and he ain't gonna change. Yes, he's doing good work at inserting conservative judges into the judiciary, and he actually showed backbone on stiff arming Bama on Merrick Garland in 2015.
But he's MIA on budget and on every other major issue of the day. He's guilty of being asleep at the wheel for decades while the Dems, lobbyists and interest groups prepped the battlefield for what we're seeing today (wholesale Dem takeover of society, public and private). He's also been particularly bad on the recruitment and electoral strategery front. Basically, Mitch will put the awesome GOP insider power and money behind the campaign of anyone (a) approved by top K-Street players, and (b) that swears allegiance to Mcconnell. And, as a result, the McConnell GOP incumbent insiders have, for the most part, enjoyed re-election after re-election, so they're all good. We the pleebs? Get F--Ked. "259 What is the argument for not shooting all journalists?
Because I do not see one." It's hard to see a "journalist" because all we have left are state propagandists. In predicting news, there are two ways to play it, one is to argue the extremes which happen at a low rate of success but when the long shot prediction comes in, everyone forgets the missed predictions.
The other way is to play the safe boring prediction which has a high success rate but it is so obvious that most people promptly forget that they thought anything different. I tend to go with the boring safe predictions--there will be some sort of impeachment vote in the House, the FISA report comes out and names a few big names, Durham's investigation widens a bit and people start getting their subpoenas for New Years, and Trump rages on Twitter. The senators face the awful polling that impeachment is getting and pick the easy way out of being chicken and failing to vote to convict. Media and Dems in electorate have the sadz because Orangemanbad and how could it fail. The Republicans start their usual circular firing squad, the Never Trumpers continue to plumb the depths of insanity by repeating it over and over again that Orangeman is in effect really bad. Fox continues to suck up ratings as the best of the worst, the economy stays in the safe zone, trade deals put on hold, some sort of Brexit occurs. And then we get to the election--too early to tell but my gut believes that during the whole impeachment thingie, that if Trump's approval ratings will begin to rise which is what happened with Clinton in 97-98. If that happens, he wins impeachment and the 2020 election. I believe this because this impeachment is boring, process of the NSC is boring, most of their foreign policy arguments are boring, so people are tuning out. People were truly shocked in Nixon's Watergate hearings, People were titillated with Bill Clinton's sex life, People are bored about the crap with Trump. The whole political theatre gag with officers in uniforms etc. reads like something out of an old JAG episode except with fat out of shape political commisars disguised in uniform. The mysterious, widely reported, whistleblower is outed as a smart ass millenial kid, the widely disliked John Bolton, etc. It is trite, it is boring, and since it involves a country that most Americans could not find on a map and does not involve U.S. service members being shot, no one cares except for partisans. Boring tv=bad politics. Even the Republican stunts in the House just seem tired and ridiculous as if everyone is going through the motions. For that reason, and the fact that the Senate is a chamber of cowards and corrupts, impeachment goes there to die. Posted by: whig at November 12, 2019 08:24 PM (MItID) 263
An army of Confederate monuments dots Virginia's landscape but some of those statues could soon start coming down after Election Day gave Democrats control of the General Assembly for the first time in decades. Members of the new legislative majority say they plan to revive proposals to make it easier to remove the public displays honoring Civil War soldiers and generals in a state that was home to two Confederate capitals. Previous attempts to do so were quickly dispatched in the Republican-controlled General Assembly, in votes largely along party lines. I'm going to guess that a fair number of my fellow morons don't have a high opinion of Glenn Beck. However, he had all of this laid out in one of his famous chalk boards about 2 weeks ago. It would probably do many very well to watch his upcoming show this Wednesday night at 8pm. I won't post a link to it lest I be accused of shilling for Beck. You all know how to use a search engine. Find it and watch it. You don't even need to pay for a subscription to his channel. He's making it free on YouTube and Facebook.
