WASHINGTON--A consulting firm hired by Burisma Group mentioned that former U.S. Vice President Joe Bide'’s son served on the Ukrainian gas company's board so the firm could leverage a meeting with the State Department, according to documents and a former U.S. official. The documents--email exchanges between State Department staff members made public this week--show that the consulting firm, Washington-based Blue Star Strategies, used Hunter Biden's name in a request for a State Department meeting and then mentioned him again during the meeting as part of an effort to improve Burisma's image in Washington. Mr. Biden was appointed to the Burisma board in 2014, when the company and its owner faced allegations of corruption, and he remained there until April of this year.

In the BDSM community, they have this concept called a "safe word." Some of you are probably familiar with the idea. I don't think so. That recent NYT/Siena College poll had Warren losing to Trump is all the critical battleground states. And that's before people have gotten to know her very well (we pay attention, but most people don't).
I think when the DNC looks at how she does in their internal polls in the blue wall states they're going to pour themselves a stiff drink, and look at Biden or possibly Hillary. Warren is just too far left for most of the country.

I think expanding Republican control of the Senate gets immeasurably easier then.
I think everyone pretty much admits elections have very little to do with the issues and character of the candidate but absolutely everything to do with money spent.
Even the lottery doesn't guarantee that the person who buys the most tickets wins - but in politics it is a bank account measuring contest.
I wonder when we will all realize this, abolish the electoral, forget about popular vote and just take the first Tuesday in November to see who burns the most cash in a pyre.
