Solomon says Biden is now fair game. He states that Biden says he did not fire the prosecutor over his son, but because that prosecutor was corrupt. So, the Senate is always easier to read than the House, and at this time, I think there's a 90% chance they won't convict.
What I'm curious about is Pelosi's tenuous command of the caucus. I don't think she actually planned to put this to a vote. But I think she's painted herself into corner, and will be forced to.
Can she drag enough red-state dems and blue-state Rs across the line? Or is this just stray voltage, where she'll have to let it die an ugly agonizing death on the floor of the House, and just try to get as much mileage as she can out of it?

(1)(a) Donald Trump, who watches too much Fox News, saw Joe Biden bragging (in his inimitable Tough Guy From the Mean Streets of Wilmington style) about how he played hardball to get a Ukrainian prosecutor fired. That's indisputable.
(1)(b) Trump also heard that this prosecutor had been investigating a Ukrainian company that gave Hunter Biden, a cokehead with no expertise in anything Ukraine, a $600,000/year sinecure.
(2)(a) Near the end of the conversation, Trump expressed what everyone should be thinking: the whole Biden thing reeks of at least morally corrupt rent-seeking. On its face, there's no way Hunter Biden would be getting paid almost $12,000 per week if he were not the Vice-President's son. That, in and of itself, should be a huge scandal.
(2)(b) Trump also expressed what everyone should be thinking: this looks really bad for Joe Biden. There might not be anything unethical about leaning on Ukraine to fire a prosecutor, but Hunter Biden's huge salary at the prosecutor's target should at least arouse suspicion. How could it not? If you're not outraged about this payoff to the Biden family, why aren't you?
(3) Trump didn't ask for anything in particular. He didn't ask Ukraine to prosecute Hunter or Joe Biden. He didn't ask Ukraine to seize the Bidens' assets. He didn't ask that the Bidens' phones be tapped. He didn't ask that pressure be put on the company that Biden worked for. He didn't ask that that company be prosecuted. Trump just asked that the whole situation - which, on its face, completely stinks - be looked into. I'm asking you: shouldn't this be investigated?
(4) Nothing at all was said about conditioning aid on any particular outcome or action.
So... what? What's the crime here? As far as I can tell, Trump asked Ukraine to look into the whole situation. Maybe this company should be prosecuted. Maybe it shouldn't. But from Trump's perspective, an extremely high-level American official stopped the prosecution of a company that was paying the official's son $50,000 a month to do nothing. What's wrong with encouraging that to be investigated?
Similarly, as at least one other person put it, what is the President of the United States supposed to do when he believes that the son of a political rival is wrapped up in corrupt dealings? Should he look the other way? Do we have a political class - a royal bloodline - that is above the law?

That assumes Hillary won't be dragged into this Ukraine maelstrom too. With Trump's spotlighting Crowdstrike how can she not be? And on top of that there are multiple investigations of the Clinton Foundation that have been in progress for some time.
As things stand now, I wouldn't bet that she'll be able to pull that off. The political situation is too fluid and moving too quickly now to assume that she'll be the last one left standing among the Democrat candidates.
