That's all they want from a "Representative", someone to make sure plenty of cash keeps coming in, and to keep any pesky police from bothering any of the drug rackets that are running. Posted by: Insomniac at September 23, 2019 12:59 PM (NWiLs) But I've heard it puts a BIG hole in whatever you're shooting at.My dad had a .357 magnum, which he let me hold a few times and I remember that it felt very heavy for its size. Apparently that fires a pretty powerful bullet too. I shot M9s in basic training. At the time the AF had just switched to those from using .45s I remember that feeling very light and not having much recoil. It was very easy to shoot. But the instructors said that it had almost no stopping power conpared to the .45 it has just replaced and they didn't like it for that reason. They said you could put somebody down with one shot with the .45 but with the M9 you'd better use several rounds to make sure. Later on I heard the same thing from several Security Police guys. I'd rather sit at home with honeys than travel to DfuckingC and live in that craphole for months on end. Are you impressed with Ivy League degrees at all then? Obviously when I was worried about those schools being too tough academically (not that I could afford Yale), they were, even at that moment, graduating dumbasses like this one. Posted by: DamnedYankee Everyone I've ever met from Yale or Harvard law have been fairly uniformly brilliant, intellectually. Some of them could not cross the street without a map, but intellectually, they would not make this type of moronic statement, even if their level of knowledge about boomsticks was the same as Stupid Jerkoff Lies. The undergrads are tough to get in if you are melanin-deprived, but once you get in, there's only so much harder they can be than any other school. Plus, Yale isn't MIT---even dimwitted scions could get by with "gentlemen's Cs." Posted by: imp at September 23, 2019 01:10 PM (w+Z9D) 475
She's not used to carrying more than 1 1lb box of fudge at a time. So 10 is a big deal to her. Sexton was knocking congress for having a child be an expert witness.
supposedly her handler is a Soros employee ... some tweet had a picture of the radical woman in background at four events where Greta was speaking. And of course GReta is being fed some lines, just memes really, she knows nothing but some easy dogma. Dogma is easy, doesn't require science, or any formulation from deep thought ... no processing of 100 various considerations to arrive at a complex interpretation of facts, with various degrees of confidence, always evolving with new input. Nope ... "WE are right because my Liberal Bible tells me so." Posted by: illiniwek at September 23, 2019 01:13 PM (Cus5s) 479

SJL keeps getting re-elected because she is reasonably priced and she stays bought. That was Hillary's problem. She cost too much and she did not stay bought. Ask the Russians after the Uranium One deal. They thought they had made a purchase but Libya proved it was only a short term lease.

This, by the way, is not the first time I've encountered complete morons coming out of Yale. They have to be 30+ years over the idiocy event horizon by now, given the age of said morons, though. Posted by: lurker (the other one, but spelled with a P) at September 23, 2019 01:46 PM (67XdO) 489

Well if she can park her fat bottom behind the handles of a Ma Deuce (which if recall correctly weighs ~90+ pounds on a tripod), put on some ear muffs (unless she's such a fat head that she doesn't need ear protection), and then have a friendly troop help her load and fire, she's gonna have a good time. From AIT 50 years ago, I can recall hitting an old APC at 1,000 meters and making the hull ring like a bell. Just walk those rounds in and enjoy Sheila. Then hand the dingbat an old M-16 and she may learn the difference.

"AR15 in 50 caliber?" I call the "AR-50". ;-) Deer lord. They actually exist. shopalexanderarms.com/50_Beowulf-Rifles.html Posted by: I R A Darth Aggie at September 23, 2019 03:07 PM (1hM1d) 498
I don't want to back up what she said - because she's lying - but there are actually two types of .50-caliber AR-15.
The first is the .50 Beowulf by Alexander Arms, and the second is a *bolt-action*, *single shot* upper receiver in .50BMG. The Beowulf is still semi-auto but as I understand it the gas system on the standard AR cannot accept the operating pressure of a .50BMG in semi-auto, so bolt-action is all you get. And the recoil with such a light rifle is... reportedly quite substantial. Posted by: WKL at September 23, 2019 03:50 PM (FTsgw) 499

The M-15, the military version that the civilian version the AR-15 ("AR" standing for the original manufacturer, Armalite) was designed from was designed as a lightweight rifle firing lightweight ammo. Neither version weighs as much as 10 moving boxes. Unless they were empty or filled with bubble wrap. It would be ridiculous to expect an infantry man, or a deer hunter respectively to carry around such a weapon in the field. Also, both fire a relatively small 22 caliber round, which is actually less lethal than previous generations of standard American infantry ammo. 22 caliber rounds tend to wound, 50 caliber rounds tend to remove limbs. Typically, 50 caliber weapons ARE huge heavy items, such as HEAVY machine guns or $10,000 sniper rifles fired with the aid of a supporting tripod or some such. Assuming Miss Lee actually held such a weapon (could she hold one off the ground?) mistaking it for an AR-15 is a ludicrous mistake. Assuming the rifle was actually an AR-15, it's one of the lightest rifles commonly available so one wonders at her physical strength if she found it so unwieldy. And one wonders where she got the impression that it fires ammo suitable for attacking lightly armored vehicles instead of deer.
THIS, this is why I tend to oppose any "gun control" law proposed or supported by the current crop of anti-gun politicians in general. Posted by: BobM at September 23, 2019 11:06 PM (Xbthd) Processing 0.04, elapsed 0.0584 seconds. |
