Women's March Cuts Ties With Three Founding Members Accused of Anti-Semitism

The Women’s March is cutting ties with three inaugural board members who have been dogged by accusations of anti-Semitism, infighting and financial mismanagement — controversies some say have slowed the organization’s progress and diminished its impact.
Co-Chairs Bob Bland, Tamika Mallory and Linda Sarsour stepped down from the board July 15, though the organization has been slow to announce their departures. The Women’s March website continued to host their photos and titles as co-chairs through this week, when the group announced the board turnover.

Reminder: Communist Bernie Sanders, who honeymooned in the Soviet Union, so much did he love that particular antisemitic tyranny, recently tapped Linda Sarsour to be a national spokesbigot.

It was in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month and partially in Spanish. 97% of the people attending Mass didn't look hispanic. WHY does this need to happen? Why do they get a special month? I do recognize that my great grandparents immigrated from Poland, however they celebrated that in their neighborhood, in their church or within their family. They became Americans and honored that on the 4th of July.

Actually, no.

Clove at best acts as a mild surface-level anaesthetic. it generally never masks the pain of any deep-seated tooth problem.

But that's not the primary "issue" with clove oil as a
"remedy" for a toothache:

95% of toothaches are simply indications of a much deeper problem that needs dental work ASAP -- cavities, roots canals, abcesses, gingivitis, etc. etc. The worst thing you can is try to numb the pain and hope it goes away. The pain exists for a reason - -to warn you that dentistry is needed NOW.

Maybe in the Olden Dayes when there were no dentists people used clove oil as a (totally ineffectual) way to mask pain that will eventually kill them or cause massive mouth problems, but no longer.

Yup, went through that this year, in a tooth with no filling. Ended up with a root canal. They said a nerve can just die sometimes. It goes out with a bang, but then will subside after the nerve is dead, but thats when bad shit can happen. I ended up with a very small white colored filling, because of the high tech way they do root canals now.

AZ Supreme Court rules that a couple of Christian women who run a custom calligraphy company, and did not want to be forced to create wedding invitations for same-sex weddings, don't have to, and also that they can post a notice on their website saying that they will not create or sell such invitations.

This was a declaratory judgment action, meaning that the women's business was not targeted by gays (as Masterpiece Cake Shop and so many other Christian businesses have been). Instead, the women saw what had happened elsewhere, and they went to the courts pro-actively and said we'd like a declaration that the Phoenix ordinance (prohibiting any discrimination by public accommodations) does not require us to create custom invitations for same-sex or polygamous weddings, which we oppose on religious grounds. Of course, the City of Phoenix and a bunch of gay groups opposed the suit, and argued that the women just wanted to discriminate against gays in their business, but the AZ Supremes rejected those arguments.

That's what happened to me several years ago. I broke a molar, got a root canal, got a crown, the root cracked and got infected, then I had the whole thing extracted and eventually got a bridge. It would have been cheaper and less trouble to go straight for the extraction.

For feed, do a search on duckduck, or I think C-span has them, or search on the evil UToob - I recall finding several feeds in the past, which was handy because some can have technical problems, and you can switch to a clean one if needed.

Me and friend were in SF for an event and we need to get to another part of town fairly quickly -- somewhere not near a BART station or Muni line.

So I said, "Heck, let's just take an Uber!"

But, unexpectedly, she said, "No -- no Uber."

I said "Why not?"

She said "I refuse to give them my money, It's a matter of principle!"

I said, "What's wrong with Uber?"

She said, "They don't pay their drivers enough! Workers' rights!"

I said, "So, you think the drivers should get paid for for each ride?"

She said, "Yes!"

So I said, "Then why don't you simply pay them more for each ride you take. Problem solved."

She said, "But I don't set the fares - -the company does. I CAN'T pay them more."

Me: "Yes you can."

Her: "How?"

Me, pointing to the app on my phone: "You can add a tip of however much you want to each ride you take. Think the drivers are underpaid? Tip them generously! Plus, the money goes all straight to them, not to the company."

She grit her teeth and glared at me.

Her: "I think I should just get going home now anyway. " And she walked off.

Have not heard back from her since.

And I doubt I ever will again.

Youtube says it is because of inadvertent copyright infringement. Guessing it is the 1 or 2 seconds of the Rolling Stone "Can't Always Get What You Want", but they have ignored RSBN emails trying to get clarification.
