the new one was terrible. It gives Hercule Poirot Adrian Monk's backstory and OCD, starts with a #Woke prologue, barely features the train (they're always going outside to get away from the train, you know, the main selling point of the movie), has really dumb action stuff to put in the trailer, features Daisy Ridley in a major role (a zero as usual), does not feature any interesting detection or interrogation, etc.
Terrible.

"Unplanned" was a Christian movie that was good. The "Narnia" movies didn't avoid the Lewis subtext. "God's Not Dead" was... I'll rate it good, too. I didn't see "Fireproof" but I heard it doesn't blow.
But there's a lot of dreck out there and Christian producers need to find smart Christian editors.

This movie is probably cheap. Maybe $30 million.
It doesn't need to make too much to make a profit. It's the sort of little project a big studio will give to a director that made a movie that made a lot of money for them.

The trend I am seeing now in productions is the blurred line between a male and female. In description, in partner, and switching back and forth. I was thinking of writing something about Soviet propaganda, but War and Peace doesn't really fit. It's nationalistic, but not really propagandist.

Well he did lie to the FBI. That doesn't appear to be in dispute so trying argue the case there doesn't seem very fruitful.
But if it can be shown that the case should never have been brought in the first place but for prosecutorial misconduct the lie becomes immaterial because he never should have been charged with anything.

Hollywood knows shit about Christie and who-dunnit capers. They just want to push their trash in any form and get metaphorical revenge. You'd think that an entire industry that has finalized it's goal of stamping out non-woke thought would just take the win and go back to making entertainment. They must be feeling the turn coming against them, otherwise they wouldn't need to constantly lecture their audiences so forcefully.

Internet reviewers and aggregate sites became popular when cable reviewers became co-opted by the establishment.
Now aggregate sites like Rotten Tomatoes are co-opted, but the people will just find another source that has not been co-opted.
