Rashida Tlaib Now Calling for Boycotts of Individual Jews
Well, Bill Maher, I think, is half-Jewish, and of course an obnoxiously evangelical atheist. But I'll count it.
Maher had called her efforts to push the BDS (Boycott, Divest, and Sanction) movement against Israel a "bullshit purity test" and refuted the claim that just because Palestinians are "browner" and Israelis are "whiter," then of course the Palestinians must be the oppressed and the Israelis the oppressors.Tlaib called for a boycott of Maher in return.
Maher came out hard against the BDS movement Friday, calling it a "bulls— purity test by people who want to appear woke but actually slept through history class." It is "very shallow thinking that the Jews in Israel, mostly white, and the Palestinians are browner, so they must be innocent and correct, and the Jews must be wrong. As if the occupation came right out of the blue, that this completely peaceful people found themselves occupied," he added.
Maybe folks should boycott his show.

China is friendly with Iran, has predatory inroads in Africa, got the canal from US, has infiltrated our universities .... not sure about S Africa. They had reach on trade with US via ? We need some sort of better relationship with Russia, which may be part of the strategy of DeepState making sure Trump never has dialogue with Putin (with their Trump/Russia coup still ongoing, if you heard Pompeo getting grilled by Dems on that)
Israel is a pivotal ally in the ME, but they are still a foreign country with their own interests. They have their own relationship with Russia ... lots of moving parts, above my pay grade, not in my purview.

It depends. I know a guy who came here from Holland just after WW2 and he still has a super thick accent. You can tell he still thinks in Dutch and has to sit and translate things in his head before he talks or listens to people. Some people just never get any better. Some people pick up languages and accents really fast.

Yeah, I completely agree. It's obvious that they run in the same circles as this guy.
There is such a thing as guilt by association; while it's easy in the current climate to like a tweet without knowing the poster's entire personal history and get flamed for it, this one seems legitimately suspect.

And then part of me thinks... what if Trump *could* make a deal with Denmark (Denmark, right?) and what if Trump managed to actually increase the physical territory of the United States during his term of office? Like the Louisiana purchase or Alaska... just buying land. Which seems to be the general "American Way". Instead of conquering, make a deal, give France some money. Jews will not go to the GOP for the same reason blacks will not go to the GOP, the Democrat party, for reasons too vast to get into, is their political party.
In order to attract these groups they would have to essentially become like those groups.
It would be similar to asking a GOP voter what would attract you to the Democrat party, it would take movement on so many core issues that it would be insurmountable.
For instance, I could never vote for a party that supports abortion as a plank of its party as just one of those core issues.

To be fair, "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" didn't really work. Donald Trump openly cares about the black community, and I can personally attest that white nationalists are quite turned off by it. But who cares? If he seriously makes a dent there, or even turns them off Segregation McHairPlugs, he destroys this thing.
The mindset among American Jews has roots in British colonialism, and their status as a very educated minority who rightly fear ethnic persecution. Fascinating stuff, once you realize the pattern.

I've looked at it this way: what if the United States did acquire Greenland? Nuuk would need a major expansion of its airport.
ANC is one of the busiest airports out there, not just because of all the small plane traffic that congregates there (and at nearby Merill Field) but also because of the many cargo planes that stop there for refuel and for Customs clearance before flying onward to the lower 48. I could see the same thing happening at Nuuk: planes from Europe stop there to refuel and to clear Customs before flying onward to CONUS.
Was buying Greenland a serious thought? Maybe not. But it does present some interesting things to think about...
