And they would send the hapless newbie into the lions den while they all hid outside in the hall, listening and waiting for the explosion to go off.

Yep MN here got some straight line winds. 6 trees down and some branches, most in the woods. Plenty of trees so no worries one in the yard. Wife's flowers are gone from hail. and Thin Lizzy Live and Dangerous.
Live albums are rare now. But most of the metal bands I've seen live over the years are tight and spot on. It often comes down to the vocalist. Death Angel, Testament, Slayer, Megadeth, Helloween, Flotsam and Jetsam, etc.
What it boils down to is how a band sounds live in real time vs carefully guided studio time.
Metal bands are very tight, in my opinion.

I just wonder at times because there are a lot of articles out there treating each Chinese announcement at face value, and being on my second trip towards 29 I recall how Soviet equipment was treated as being as good or better than Western European or American equipment. And I remember when that bubble was popped.

I read that - it sounded very plausible. It sure looks to me that there is a whole lot of game playing going on, on both the US and the Iranian side, which is a big part of why I'm so leery of military action. I suspect that for everything we read about in news reports, a half dozen or more other things have happened that we're not allowed to know about, on both sides.

In one of the fancier bathrooms of a cruise ship I was on had a long granite wall with water running down it. I looked around for the frigging urinals, and a dude that walked in had seen me looking around. It was a metal cruise, so half baked he says "bro, you pee on the wall". I said yeah I was wondering about that, at first I thought it was art, or some decoration. He says, fuck it, I would have peed on it anyway.

Also, I was surprised the Esquire folks left out the 1979 Phillies "Saturday Night Specials"-- all burgundy except for the white "P" on the jerseys. Never bought anything from Chewy, but apparently someone did, using our credit card number. About $80 bucks worth. Called Chewy. Within 5 minutes the charge was reversed and the customer service dude on the other end of the line reported the fraudulent purchase. OMG. my dad used to say he was going to put a dumpster in the driveway & toss all mom's crap off the balcony into it, and he wasn't gonna bury her until the house was cleared out. then he went & died first.

And yes, these are these days, common use black powder, muzzle loading cannon bores.
I've got lots of experience with the one inch bore. It is a lot more effective than one might initially allow.

This was a never ending, Alzheimer's fueled conversation with my Step Mom, from 2010 till this year when she passed.
Still, we managed to get an entire Trust aqnd Powers of Attorney(s) lawyered, written, recorded and put into effect before she passed this January at age 90.
Avoiding Probate is the paramount goal.
Probate Courts exist, not to fairly dispose of estates, but to enrich the Probate Lawyers admitted to their Bar.
