And that's why I'm seriously ambivalent about Ross Perot. Even 7 years in a North Vietnamese POW camp couldn't prepare Stockdale for the savagery of US electoral politics. I blame Perot for dragging him into it unprepared, making the poor man into a laughing stock, and permanently tainting a brave man's legacy. Stockdale deserved better.

Perhaps, Trump made the right political move to allow this sham investigation to go on.
But Trump as the head of the Executive Branch knew this was a waste of time, money and resources.
This investigation should have been terminated a long time ago. Because in this country, we should not only expect, but demand, that our investigators NOT waste our tax dollars on sham investigations. Trump wasn't the only target, and innocent people were hurt.

While that is likely the case - it appears Weissman was really running things - he was the guy in charge, and the buck stops with him. He approved of Weissman because he did not stop him. Mueller *could* have wrapped things up months, a year earlier than he did. But he didn't.
He's a partisan, political swampy, and he gets no passes for being a passive leader of a rabidly partisan investigation.

I have a client who used to drink-- not sure if he qualifies as an alcoholic or not, since I work remotely-- and he mentioned a few weeks ago he has stopped. Since then, he has done a 180 on a bunch of things, and is now super demanding and never satisfied. Any advice/ thoughts?

Let Congress investigate more. That's their Constitutional right. But we should never have sham investigations in the executive branch. Letting Mueller run his investigation was a very shameful episode and has set an awful precedent.

There are few things more miserable than a recently reformed alcoholic. He's miserable - and he's going to make everyone around him miserable - for quite some time. Unless you like the the guy - stay the Hell away from him.

I have a client who used to drink-- not sure if he qualifies as an alcoholic or not, since I work remotely-- and he mentioned a few weeks ago he has stopped. Since then, he has done a 180 on a bunch of things, and is now super demanding and never satisfied. Any advice/ thoughts?

Speaking as an alcoholic who has been on and off the wagon a couple times, and this especially applies to maintenance drinkers, removing the booze leads to removing something the body and brain have been depending on for awhile. There's a withdrawal process and it can be highly unpleasant. That's the immediate explanation.
The psychological explanation is that this person was drinking in the first place to medicate some problem like anger issues or depression. This could also be at work here.
The most I can say is give it time. If it doesn't get better, see if you can work around this person because it might be something that's simply beyond your control and his.
