Hill Country is a DC fixture. It serves BBQ. It's pretty good. (Though I've never had what many of you would call real barbecue. But it's pretty good for non-real barbecue. As it's serving a city with a significant conservative-leaning population, and conservatives generally like barbecue more than liberals do, it would be a really bad business decision for the management to declare that no conservatives are allowed in the restaurant any longer. Maybe, people can have differing opinions and you can just let them be, and then bitch about them later with your friends, like we do here. It's far less confrontational, everyone gets to go about their business, and we get to read good stories.
For instance, our family was eating at a restaurant near a table of special needs teenagers and adults and their aides. Some were vocal, and it was because they were happy- they were out at a restaurant!! A couple stood up next to our table and started screaming at the top of their lungs, and then yelled "You all have ruined our lunch, and you should have been aborted."
The owner of the restaurant asked them to leave, we went over to the table of kids and hugged them and bought them dessert. Did we get in the screamers faces? No. We probably should have, but we thought this was a better reaction.

Apparently, they meant that someone had, in the meantime, created a parody account of this... specimen, and they had replied to that account, mistaking it for the real thing.

Not to be pedantic (or homosexualize, as Zod puts it), but even in open carry states it could be an issue. The act of revealing a concealed weapon in the circumstances described is an implied threat.
In the scenario Xipo mentioned, a person was saying 'wearing a MAGA hat will get you an ass-whupping.' So, wouldn't that be a threat first? Would revealing the weapon be a means of actually diffusing the situation because you are informing a person threatening you that you can and will shoot them in self defense?
I don't know the law on this, so I welcome any light on this subject.

There are numerous Army, Navy and Air Force installations in and around the area I live in.
We have little problem with the left consequently. I can wear my MAGA cap with nothing more than an occasional side eye.
So overall, life is good in that aspect.
Downside is Upstate suffers badly from the Cuomo clan and the democrats. They outnumber us.

I never expected a clean process, which was why I could never quite figure out a process. I wanted something that wouldn't devolve into mere sniping about movie tastes.
I do like the idea of starting my own and then getting feedback.
Like, I come up with 20 choices and then have regular up and down vote type events. Top 15 move on, bottom 5 get cut. Replace bottom 5 with another 5 from the Horde. Do that for a few weeks in a row until we have something.
It could work.

This is how social media is so destructive. This media guy (?), in his little bubble where he's reading/discussing his #Resistance/Trump-hating stuff all do goes outside of social media and verbally attacks a random couple in a restaurant - and then expects it to turn out how it would if he had made the attack online.
Online, he would have ginned up a hate mob to all tweet and DM the "Nazi" and then get the guy's twitter suspended. What a hero, massive retweets and new followers! Yay, you fearless warrior.
IRL, he got a normal human response - the guy defended himself, his date backed him up, and the restaurant rightly kicked out the guy making a scene.

My high school Latin teacher went on a trip to Italy some years back with her husband, who was a French professor at the local college. She said that she used Latin in conversation with the locals because she had never studied modern Italian. They evidently recognized enough Latin words to understand her-- they were delighted that she was trying to learn their language. She was from Toronto originally and never quite lost her Canadian accent, so I don't know how much that might have influenced her pronunciation of Latin. Anyway, she and her husband had a wonderful time in Italy, which is what really mattered.
