Now Vimeo Also Deletes James O'Keefe's Journalism

There's no coordination here between a monopolist company and other semi-monopolies.

No, none at all.

Except for the fact that they share many of the same personnel and keep in frequent contact to make joint decisions which they then all impose together.

33 Propaganda is totally useless and has absolutely no effect on the tastes or preferences of the public. Trust us, this is a nothingburger, a meal only for paranoiacs.

47 Coordinated messaging cannot shift opinion. Trust us, it's impossible, and only crazies would suggest otherwise.

Posted by: Bloggers, Activists, and Twitter Addicts who spend most of their day online trying to shape opinion

YouTube deplatforms people for exposing the bias and targeting of Pinterest, and YouTube and Vimeo both deplatform people for exposing the bias and targeting of Google.

And more:

Tim Pool@Timcast

Within 2 days of Carlos Maza calling for The_Donald Subreddit to be censored Reddit has taken action and quarantined one of the largest Pro-Trump forums.

Meanwhile, commenters say that established monopoly platforms are banning links to social media upstart BitChute, and earlier came reports that the Apple store was banning Parler, the competitor to Twitter, unless Parler imposes all of the same censorship policies as Twitter (and Apple).

This is how Robust and Free Capitalist Competition is supposed to work, David French assures me. An tiny number of coordinated monopoly concerns -- ten or so in total-- all offering products with the same speech restrictions and political biases.

And all competitors to this Ruling Caste Order squelched and stamped out by their other conspirators, like Mastercard and Patreon.

The nation's entire political discussion controlled -- controlled -- by a small group of people who all know each other and are all on the far left and in fact all live a mile from each other in the richest suburbs of San Francisco.

A bunch of soybottomed hard-left oligarchs and venture socialists having a hippie high tea meeting and deciding who the next president will be, and who has the right to speak in the public square.

Isn't that what America's really all about?

Boy, it's too bad that the country didn't vote in reaction to this in 2016 and install a Republican president and Republican Congress to do something about the increasingly censoriousness and controlling nature of the tech monopolies.

But the important thing will always be blowing Kochs.

As Tucker Carlson said last night, people vote for politicians to protect them from unfair practices aimed at harming them -- but the Republicans affirmatively aid those seeking to harm Republican voters.

The Republican Party will deserve it when they wake up one day and discover that their former voters have deserted them.

Here's an older editorial from Carlson.

Tim Pool on Carlos Masa demanding that Reddit censor The Donald subreddit, and Reddit, of course, eagerly agreeing:

The knitting site -- KNITTING SITE!!! -- has forbidden any advocacy for Trump or anyone but NeverTrump Republicans.

Of course, they're still allowing -- encouraging -- anti-Trump and leftwing agitation.

I wouldn't say that the knitting site is in the same class as the others; that's more of a small blog that isn't a monopoly (or a market-dominating company).

Update: Commenters disagree, noting that Ravelry is a monopoly in the small market of pattern-vending:

Ravelry is in pretty much a monopoly position for people selling patterns. As someone noted above, it has 8 million users.

But they're all joining together on this.

And where is Bitch McConnell?

Where, for that matter, is Trump?

Breaking just now: Trump has called for a censorship summit, for whatever that's worth. He notes that "we" might sue Google and Facebook, I guess through the FTC.

A researcher -- and Hillary Clinton supporter -- named Dr. Robert Epstein ran double-blind large-scale experiments to determine how much search bias could affect an election -- stuff like eliminating all negative search results for Hillary Clinton, while permitting the results for Trump to be stocked with negative results.

In experiments with more than 10,000 people, he found that 20% of undecided voters will switch their votes to the Google-favored candidate based on such manipulation.

In that latest Tucker Carlson appearances, he says the number of voters who will be flipped by Google's tactics is 15 million.

He found -- based on controlled experiments involving over 10,000 subjects in total -- that undecided voters who were 50/50 to vote on either major candidate would shift to a 90-10 split when the search result manipulation was applied. (That is, suppressing all negative returns or search suggestions for the candidates Google and Facebook favor.)

People who keep relying on their ideology, untainted by evidence, facts, or reading into the subject, should explain why their simplistic dogma should trump the facts and research.

They should also be made to explain why they compare about the minor media manipulating public opinion -- CNN, newspapers, etc. -- but don't think the real current Major media -- Google and Facebook and twitter -- are also capable of such manipulation, despite being ten times the size and reach of the old, shriveled, dying media.

This power that they are using is no more than what has already existed. What was needed was the fanatic creed (of social transformation). It's why we don't allow two or three big corporations to fix the price of a product.

They always could, when they wanted. We the people only stepped in when the DID use their market power to fix prices. Price fixing isn't one of the benefits touted for the "free market".

However, colluding to fix prices was always within the freedom of a "free market".

One additional facet of the whole disgusting media/tech/Democrat information control complex is incitement to murder, of course. They don't just want us blind, mute and intimidated, they want us killed.

I believe that what has been done so far is nothing. The voter fraud, financial institution warfare, propaganda, silencing, doxxing, job losses, de facto state-sanctioned mob violence, and actual murder up to this point are just a shot across the bow. As the '20 election approaches, they'll be firing broadsides into the guts of the ship.

I don't see any obvious will or intent from Trump or anyone to really deal with this.

Most of us post here anonymously for a reason (see above). I think if Trump loses, we won't be anonymous for long. And the internet as we knew it will be over rather quickly. It will be as if Hillary won the election. She was just a broker for these things, not the source.

One of the few things we have going for us, is the detachment from day to day reality of the people constructing this prison around us. They've had it so easy, it's been largely cost-free for them. There will be a tipping point, and their largely passive victims will not be passive any longer.

While I agree in essence, its not exactly how you're portraying it. This isn't people being fooled into voting FOR x by search engines. Its people being denied information to vote for y. Its a lockdown on opposing viewpoints and stories that are damaging to one side of the political perspective.

The reason the press is called the "fourth estate" as in the fourth branch of government, is because in a democracy (small d: vote for things) voters need to be informed in order to do their job. Controlling that information... controls the election.

261 I'll say it again: Big Tech simply refuses to read history. Even the Soviets had samizdat to contend with. The ONLY thing they will succeed in doing is driving conservative thought/debate into the underground, and then, it will turn and bite them all in the ass.

Do not misunderstand me; this is appalling to me as it is to you. However, I do not think there is anything to be gained through what the techies are doing as much as they think they are. Cut off debate from a digital platform and watch it go elsewhere and then they will be all shocked when they see all they did was simply ignore the deplorable caste. And then they will all be shocked when the next Trump-like figure is elected.

This could *all* fall apart on them, leaving them to be shown for the totalitarians they are. (Note: totalitarianism do not have to be immediately repressive, just *totalists*.)

So far, in the age of Trump, the left has been unable to stop itself from falling down the stairs repeatedly. Strong-arming other people is *all* that is left for them. If they can't herd millions of new voters through the borders and can't silence the left-alternative viewpoints, they stand NO chance of making gains.

And they are exposing themselves tremendously by coming right up to the edge of RICO protections, and FEC violations (which I think are legitimate). But they're in the push.

293 Keto, don't disagree with you, in a comment section it's very hard to make a point without the facts [there being no media, you have to "bring your own" to every discussion, as most won't even know what you're referring to], which leads to my verbose comments.

Also, no observation or criticism of Trump on specifics implies the slightest tendency to ignore the disaster the GOP had become, or the unrecognizable alien nightmare the Dems have become. In fact what I was whining about above [and for nearly 2 years] is that Trump has *not* recognized he needs to do battle with much the GOP, not just the Dems, on some yuuge issues - if he wants to achieve his goals [which I think he genuinely wants to do].

Trump's endorsement - in any district/state where a GOP win/hold is considered likely - ought to be harder to get than an intelligent sentence out of AOC. Doesn't look to be that way. McSally? Proven loser and far from a "MAGA" sort? Tillis? A disaster on the Beltway lynch mob idiocy ["Russia!"], and of no positive consequence on anything else important [NC Morons might be able to correct me].

Just like using a paid cutout to access foreign dirt on your opponent is totes okay, but sitting down with foreigners, exchanging nothing, and getting NO dirt on your opponent is Treason(tm), even if those foreigners did meet with people employed by your opponent before and after the treason.

And although information has no precedent as being treated as a "donation in kind", Washington will make it one if they need to--even if you don't get information--maybe they'll opt for Attempt to Receive Foreign Donation-in-Kind!

370 Frankly, I think the left is demoralized. Kind of hard to overestimate how big a hit they took when Mueller didn't have anything on Trump and they know that scam is over. The more aware are starting to realize it's about to come back at them in a big way.

And the lack of enthusiasm for the collection of freaks and losers they have going up against Trump has nobody on the left enthused. They may act like it from time to time but the overall lack of enthusiasm and optimism is pretty obvious. They lied for a year about the border being a crisis and are now playing catch up on a problem that isn't going away anytime soon.

Trump is going to get his trade deals done. The economy is soaring. Unemployment is at record low levels. Trump hasn't started any wars. They have nothing but Orange Man Bad and they know it.

This. Fuck, I'm not saying be a polyanna or anything, but Trump's had a pretty damn good record as far as getting things done, he's bought some breathing room and trust from me about the wall and immigration. And as to the whole "Why doesn't he fire person X, Y, or Z NAOOW!!!" He's got his reasons, and he's got more info at his disposal than we do. All we can really do is cross our fingers. Or, or we could do as redridinghood suggests and burn up the phone lines. Just saying...

P.S.: Lets not start with the whole "Kushner baad" and "Trump is just Ivanka sock puppet" shit again. Trump doesn't strike me as the type who is that easy to manipulate. If he were, then, I doubt he would have gotten elected to begin with.

You all know that they wanted to wait longer and be closer to the elections to pull the crap they pulled recently and today. So they must be pretty worried and want to control the narrative surrounding their clown candidates otherwise they lose. I wish we could use both sites simultaneously without being at risk in both. I know. Doesn't make sense...

Posted by: Floridachick at June 26, 2019 08:26 PM (olKjn)

399 Perhaps Ivanka is no Jarrett but it seems that Trump is stopping himself from following thru on way too many very important promises lately. He seems to be becoming too kind and warm hearted towards the illegals and the dems. Let's give them one more chance sort of bs.

All I know is that we will lose our country and become virtual slaves if Trump loses in 2020. We will lose completely the 1st and 2nd amendments. We will lose our right to own private property and to make decisions over our children and our health. It will be over and I am not exaggerating. Been there done that. 407 Facebook Kills Popular 'Illinois Gun Owners Together' Group
http://tinyurl.com/y6rdkl9p

Zuck strikes again. On Sunday, Facebook deleted the very popular "Illinois Gun Owners Together - IGOT"private Facebook group. And with the appeal is stretching into the fourth day, it looks like IGOT won't be back.

We have watched as Facebook has shadow-banned conservative content in earnest following President Trump's election. Now, Zuckerberg's minions have moved to simply ban it on the platform altogether. And gun rights activism certainly fits that bill...

Anyway, Facebook told John Coyne of IGOT's leadership that three things would have to happen to bring the group back. They should change their cover photo, change the group's description and address the posts that supposedly violate Facebook's "community standards."

Posted by: David at June 26, 2019 11:22 PM (jY1B4)

408 If YouTube, a video hosting service, and Vimeo, a competing video hosting service, made a deal to both demonetize, shadow ban, and legitimately ban the same people for the same reasons, that's an antitrust issue. In the interest of free markets and capitalism i thought this could be resolved without government interference. If Vimeo was interested in making money, they should have offered Crowder and O'Keefe a better offer than YouTube. They need to be dragged into a courtroom or in front of the FTC and made to explain themselves. If Vimeo's excuse is "YouTube offered us a huge pile of money to give O'Keefe the run around" that's one thing, but "ORANGE MAN BAD" is a whole different problem.

409 I dislike these companies passionately, I will not weep if they vanish tomorrow.people who go use their site and find the site doesn't agree with their views will use the site still, but won't be swayed by their mind control.I've seen it happen in every video and such site, Liveleak, youtube, and frankly if they dropped off line today I would shout with joy. They make their product unwatchable and people will stop watching when what they want to watch goes away, and echo chamber is boring.
