When I was a teenager, I was an extremely heavy user of marijuana. As I got older and had more responsibilities, I cut back more and more until it was gone.
I tried opioids during my many injuries, but never got addicted, or even thought of it. I watched a lot of people I knew get pretty sideways on the stuff. Some recovered, most didn't.
IOW, I used a lot of weed and had plenty of access to opioids, as a student athlete - and I didn't start abusing those drugs.

Ideally, cops would be able to defuse the situations they encounter. My grandfather and uncle were military-police, Eritrea (then Hebron) and Northern Ireland respectively. I'm told they both did okay at it. Didn't have to do too many arrests.
Once there's an arrest, especially in a shithole like Hebron or Belfast, all the Community Leaders spill out alleging racism or some shit like that. And G-d help us all if a shot is fired.

Anyway, after getting that hooked up, I inhaled a whole quart of Gatorade in less than 5 minutes. It's been a long time since I got warm enough to do that.
Then I dug 28 holes with it. Miley was a big help laying it off.
This thing is an 8" auger. Did the trick nicely.
Then we went to town and got a load of lumber which we'll slap up tomorrow, weather permitting.

When I put in the field fence around our cabin i put in 22 post holes for the corner braces- all by hand with a post hole digger. It was a couple month long project all told. The post holes were all ~24-30" deep. My 14 year old grandson offered to help. He managed about six inches in one hole before deciding he had had enough.

More fucking bullshit. Back in the 1980's there was a big to-do with the "Lubicon Lake Cree Indian Band" complete with their imported Chicago agitator. They wanted oil royalties from production on their "ancestral lands". I'm putting this all in scare quotes, because there never was such an Indian band. Well, the Lubicon turds mostly lived in a town called Little Buffalo, and I passed by there one fine day between Christmas and New Years, riding shotgun seat in the cab of a seismic recording truck (a Ford F600, if you must know, with 4-wheel drive, too). The highway passed right by the garbage dump provided by the Province of Alberta to serve the town of Little Buffalo, and the access to the town itself. We could tell we were getting close to Little Buffalo by all the trash in the ditches on both sides of the road between the dump and the town access road. Lazy, worthless fuckers could even drive 3-4 miles to throw their trash in the dump. It was a hideous mess.
So don't blow smoke up my ass about "first nations" being good stewards of the environment. That's just bullshit.

Downtown South Bend is very nice, a few blocks of along the St. Joe river. And it was the corporate home of Studebaker, and Oliver Tractor, and South Bend Lathe, among other major manufacturers.
But it became a shithole, because those jobs went away, and the welfare came and settled.

I think June is now my least favorite month of the year. After seeing all these corporate logos "rainbowed" in deference to pride month, I just want July to get here already. My least favorite used to be August, don't like heat and am ready for Summer to end... but now its June, now the stupidest month of the year.

Make sure the guitar is setup correctly. This means the strings height above the fretboard at the bridge and nut and everything in between is within specs. If too low it will buzz, if too high it is difficult to make the chords. Have it checked out by someone who knows what they are doing, if a guitar has a twisted neck the intonation will be off, and impossible to tune.
Check out "ShutUpAndPlay" on YT if you like 60s and 70s classic rock, or even if you don't. Andy is a great instructor.
What I've found is some tunes that I thought would be impossible for mere mortals to play, sometimes aren't too bad, particularly. They just soumd like they have a lot going on. Don't get me wrong, they are awesome tunes for a reason, they just aren't as technically demanding as one might think.
On the other hand, some pretty basic tunes with just a few chords can be very difficult to pull off well. As in years of practice. Really. Trust Me. It's all about the tone, and the vibe, the feel of a tune when you try to emulate a guitarist, most of the good ones, or maybe famous - have a distinctive tone, and can be recognized right away.
Ever notice when someone says "Oh yeah, that song's really easy" they can't play it for shit?

I think it is fine they want to cure diseases and breast cancer is certainly one that needs a cure. Men get breast cancer too although you would not know it from the media. Women die more from heart disease than breast cancer, but heart disease doesn't get the gender identity cred. The world we live in is weird, I don't see how that changes.
I say cure ANY cancer right now, get it done, then move on to the next disease pronto.

anyways, it's david gilmore in that 1970 video and he wasn't even in pink floyd when the song was first recorded. they were that committed to the verity of the song. but here's my point - gilmore is playing a black stratocaster but it's not the famous "black strat" that featured in nearly all of his recordings and performances. that guitar was bought about a month later when the one in the video was stolen.
in any case, check out the video, it's fantastic. and check out the black strat and all the other guitars from gilmore's collection being sold at christies in new york on june 20.

If I knew I would do it myself. But I know conservatives and libertarians to spend money on initiatives. Would not a go fund me type campaign work with conservatives if the details were right? The alternative is we will have to hear every few days about the latest normal getting deplatformed or demonetized. As if big tech cares about that.

Again just ballparking things out ... if pundit could share a post with ace and vice versa...we have the blogrolls...they are like a friend list...so maybe on the backend ...say ace and cobs...they can see the things they are shared and can pickup up those shares to automatically blog about and reshare.
Now say I start a new blog and write a few posts. Then I think, "Notice me, Sen Pai" and I send a "friend request" from my interface to @ace.mu.nu ... digging into the details...thats a form post or ajax request to aces server. He's running a software that can here my requests. And he picks it up ...well... in his back end. lol .
Maybe a social protocol for any site. A way for any sites to friend and share with each other independent of any central authority. As a protocol...an API...it could be implemented in anyway. So a REST API for sharing between blog sites.

No. You'd have nearly as much luck trying to GoFundMe enough cash to land on the moon. Standing up enough capacity to take even 10% of their share - or to deal with 10% of their share in the form of new users - is a vast undertaking.
Part of the cost is because the effort is susceptible to deplatforming. As has been noted above, look what happened to Gab. Good luck even getting a crowdfunding site to actually let you try and raise the money without getting banned for something or other. Good luck getting bank loans, or site permits from local government. Good luck finding enough professionals willing to risk their entire careers on this - go to work for an effort like this and you will never be hire-able among mainstream silicon valley corps again.
Your observation on growth is primarily pertaining to company valuation via
stock. That doesn't mean the value is real, or that they necessarily have access to

These days there is Poland, Italy, and a few other that seem to be more on the conservative swing. I am not sure about Poland's modern history but Italy for sure has had lefty governance in the recent era. Australia has had a decent conservative run but they don't have many of our rights. Britain just a couple of years ago voted for Brexit, but as left as they are, does it even matter to us these days? It is still a good thing, but if they are independent and socialist-statist, will the independence mean that much to us? It is possible they could do more good in the EU.
If you want to live abroad AND CAN PULL IT OFF (it is not that easy for most) then go for it for sure, seize the day!.
But if you are just looking to get out from under the progressive statist bubble, the play is to move to a deep red area of the USA. Whenever I have had my fill of the blue bubble, I get out and I am renewed. It is amazing what time with normals can do to lift your spirits. Maybe the left will win at the Federal level, it happens. But if you are living in a place where at least you are free to say your piece, including liberals, it makes life a lot better. It is like it used to be, and when I say used to be, I mean a couple decades ago.

It was probably Gettysburg. I think they were both over 50,000 casualties though I had to check Waterloo on Wiki. The line that always stuck with me about Shiloh was that it had more casualties than all American and Colonial American wars til that date combined. And since Shiloh was the first major battle of the war, with major losses, it was an eye opener.

I am not bothered that people mix up complicated terms but it is odd that a major motion picuture would push such a fallacy. The dead at Gettysburg was more like 10,000, though they were very stringent and did not count people who died of wounds a few days after the battle.

I think it has changed a bit over the years but i can't tell you how. In the Civil War, a guy who was mortally wounded and died a few days after the battle was normally not listed as KIA for that battle. My guess is they would count that now but I don't know how it works. It would seem a grim and pointless endeavour these days.

I liked it. They say it took a some liberties but they all do. The worst thing is watching a historical movie when you have in depth knowledge of the subject. The ones that kill me are the movies about the O.K. Corral, Doc Holliday, and Wyatt Earp. It shocked me to realize that Tombstone was likely the most accurate film on the subject ever made. Ok, the Kostner film was probably more accurate but it was a bore. The previous Hollywood stuff, including classics like "My Darling Clementine" were just dreck on the history front. These guys didn't even try.

good idea I think. If you are saying have them take core liberal arts classes at community college, I am all for that. Some of my best profs were at a community college. My worst teachers were TA's at a major university.
When I went to school,they didn't require SJW indoctrination classes. My guess is the lefty Universities require these even for transfer students but that is just a guess. My play would be to only support kids if they went to a conservative school.

I think there are about 60 some odd health care plans run by the US. And only 1 even has some type of lifetime shared contribution, that is Medicare. And it was busted during the BHussein years.
