The Twitchy story does not say where this email came from -- I am guessing it was not leaked, but maybe released as part of the investigation into her sham marriage tax filings.

If it had been leaked, we'd have a whole new round of Leftwing Tech Monopoly deplatformings, because it's now a violation of terms of service to reveal internal communications about a misbehaving Democrat or liberal concern.

You may continue leaking top secret government documents, of course.

Ultimately, what our immigration system needs to be reformed to sort for is people who want to move here to be Americans, and live like us. Nobody's saying you have to assimilate 100% and forget everything you were, but if you're moving here, it should be because you like the culture and want to be part of it.

Bringing in people who want to hold themselves apart, or demand that we change our lives to better suit their mood... that's beneficial to none, and harmful to the citizens.

Taqquiya is lying to protect yourself about your faith (say you're not a Muslim if you're going to die or be persecuted for admitting it)

Kitman is withholding information to protect someone or to prevent bloodshed

Muruna: violating the laws of Islam to blend in as a spy or infiltrator, or when preparing for an act of jihad.

I and many others just call all this Taqqiya, but that isn't technically accurate. Islam is like the US legal code, they have tried to literally spell out EVERYTHING so there's no need to think, analyze, or understand: just obey.

They had a handful of good ideas in there. I liked the 'at will' powers. And the 'bloodied' state was good design work.

But they killed the role playing aspect of D&D.

I hear 5th edition is much improved. Dunno, I'm still on Pathfinder and enjoy that.

193 5th Edition is great. All it lacks is content. Whereas 3.0/3.5 had roughly 1,000 splatbooks of added classes, sub-classes, feats and what have you, 5e has had like...4 of them...in 5 years. But instead of that they've done a bunch of full adventure modules spanning multiple books and 15+ levels.

Yeah you have to draw the line as a GM and just not use a ton of stuff in a campaign if you want any remote sense of sanity. As in no prestige classes, period.

There's a reason that 5th doesn't have all those books, because they really did not make players or GMs very happy except the powergaming munchkins. Yeah it sold a lot of books, but Pathfinder-style content is a lot more popular and well received.

Southern cooking developed from both the slaves and the poor folk trying to get by. A lot of restaurants try to make it uppity, but it just doesn't taste as good. Chicken fried steak, made from cheap cuts of beef, covered in cream gravy with mashed potatoes. and green beans. It is so so good, but was cheap food, especially if you had a garden and a cow.

But a lot of traditional dishes started out as "poor" food. In Poland, carp in gray gelatin for Christmas eve comes to mind, because during the German and Soviet occupations, food was a scarcity. You could fish in the rivers for carp and eat it because the commissars didn't care. They sure didn't want to eat it. I'm sure there are many, many more similar circumstances around the world.

Same with getting a divorce. If they are not divorced in the religion, it does not matter what the State says.

I know of a couple here who 'was' married. Got legally divorced even though they continued to live together. Why? She gets more State support for their 4 Kids if HIS income is not being counted. He just files his taxes from his Parents house.
