"Remember when President Trump called CNN "the enemy of the people", and how pretty much everyone in the hair-on-fire media basically ran around like, well, like their hair was on fire? And how the endlessly proclaimed that the President's remarks were some kind of Clear and Present Danger to serious journalisming like CNN and serious journalismists like Jim Acosta who, presumably, were afraid they might get gunned down in the streets by a hate mob? Actually, in reality, the only hate mobs in the streets these days are left-wing and the only danger the Serious Journalismists need to be afraid of is getting laughed at and called out for being lying whores by normal Americans -- which, in the view of journalismists, is worse than getting shot, but that's not my point. My point is, Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth "1/1024th" Warren recently decided that her path to electoral success involved attacking Fox News, so she loudly harumphed that she turned down an invitation from Fox, which she called "a hate-for-profit racket", to do a town hall. I have a couple of questions about this. The first is: has it now become OK to publically smear the media and call them names? When did that change? I mean, why hasn't Serious Journalismist Brian 'Tater' Stelter called out Senator Warren for her heinous attack on the integrity of the Serious Profession of Journalisming like he did when Trump called CNN a fake news clown car? I guess not all attacks on the media are equal. The other question I have is: who is the brainiac in the Warren campaign who told her to spike the ball in her own end zone? Because she just kind of owned herself, much like she did with the release of her DNA results. Whether she likes it or not, many Americans watch Fox News, and she just p*ssed on all of them. And these are precisely the votes she needs if she ever hopes to win. This is just a massive self-own by Warren, another one. The only people cheering this are blue-state progressives. Unless her strategy is to write off the red states as hopeless and deplorable and concentrate on racking up huge majorities in the blue states. But before she continues down that path, she might want to ask Hillary how that strategy worked for her in 2016."

Please continue to pray for her for healing and for strength for she and OldDog and their family too. 4/14-OldRadarTech had extensive surgery including a “mushroom” to replace end of lower arm and also got thirteen screws and a plate to keep things in place. He appreciates the prayers and aks for prayers for healing for as much use of his arm and hand as possible. 4/22-ibguy reports that his friend’s wife, Debbie K, passed away on April 22nd of 4th stage lung cancer. Prayers for comfort and support for family and friends at this very difficult time 5/1-Cheribebe says cancer is spreading. She needs new cancer chemo regimen which is very expensive and asks for prayers to God for healing as well as help regarding finances.

Prostrate cancer advanced to level 3. Mom can visit via public transportation and freeway is convenient for local family. Prayers for skill and wisdom for doctors, healing and strength for family. 5/14-Grumpy’s friend Rhett fell off roof, broke 3 ribs and wrist and has lacerated liver. Now in rehab. Needs prayers for healing. 5/14-James Madison is having four wisdom teeth removed today. Prayers for successful surgery and healing and help with any pain from surgery. 5/14-Kraken’s friend died, and Kraken’s dog of 12 years died as well. SU is dying after fighting years of various forms of cancer. Requested in-home hospice care and quit medications. Wants to die peacefully and as painlessly as possible. Surgery to remove it was unsuccessful and now additional tumor was found in lung, Prayers for healing and that family and friends be able to fight this. 4/10-Kitsabass’ stepdaughter had emergency appendectomy. Within a week Mrs. Kitsabass had to go to the emergency room for kidney stones. Needed surgery for parathyroid issues and has used up annual and sick leave. Prayers for healing and rough places made smooth. 4/17 -Anon y mouse’s wife, Mrs. Mouse, had high blood pressure related to cyst on kidney and pressure on kidney and adrenal gland. Prayers for healing 4/18-Prayers for TonyPete’s friend, Kate, who lost her husband at a young age (27) to cancer and just recently lost her two little girls in a tragic accident. 4/22-Average Guy’s 19 year old son admitted himself to psychiatric care after a suicide attempt. He has been dealing with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts for several years. Prayers for healing. 4/24- Juliette aka “Baldilocks” struggling to pay utilities. Asks for prayers for financial resources to do that. 4/30-Farmer had a bad fall and break in ankle and is in hospital. Long recovery so prayers for healing are much appreciated 4/30-Phoenixgirl’daughter is finishing up finals and an internship. Boyfriend “broke her heart”. Prayers for both of them.

Blood cot from tumor got into lungs. 2 weeks in ICU and had numerous blood clots and pneumonia. In long term care while doctors prepare her for chemo radiation and surgery. She is fragile and doesn’t want to fight it. Prayers for healing and strength. 5/7-Flounder’s mother-in-law needs prayers for healing. Glioblastoma has continued growing since February. Growth was always cancerous and expected to be. 2nd occurrence. Family is shaken by the unexpected news. Mother-in-law will be having follow-up radiation. Flounder family had moved in to stay with mother-in-law. Continued prayers and well wishes appreciated. 5/8-Emperor Country Boy needs guidance, direction, energy, strength, patience, and motivation for work situation.

For the last 3 years or so the Left have been branding non-progressives as "hateful" and as such, not worthy of basic protections such as free speech and the right not to be punched. When you say someone spreads hate, it's then OK to punch them, get them fired, have their social media cancelled, have their banking services revokes and so on.
Warren is doing something very deliberate and very despicable.
I think she'll want to have Fox News "de-platformed" - essentially, have various business privileges pulled - because they spread "hate." We've already seen the DNC refuse to let them host debates. Will they try to get them kicked out of the WH press corps, have cable/satellite companies to drop them, have them purged from any federal sites, try to take them off the air entirely?

I don't really want to think CM was doing a ruse because I know somebody-not CM- who was in that position-no job, no money and about to be evicted and he was quite desperate. And I think the people who were able to help CM out financially (I wasn't) were very kind, generous people and no, I don't think people who didn't want to give were bad people-just caustious. When people are that desperate I worry about suicide because the guy I know said, "If I have to live out on the streets I will kill myself. This is not a threat. I just know what I couldn't survive that,"Fortunately things are a little better for the guy I know so I will continue to pray for CM. My frosh year in college dressed up as Our Savior - white robe, gold rope belt, wig, beard, and somehow imbibed too much liquor and ended passing out in a female friend's all-girl dorm TV room. final follow-up with the surgeon was on Monday, all is looking good, when the treatment for the lung embolisms is done we are good to go for the reversal surgery - probably 3 to 6 months out.

They're right. The philly tourist/pison traps use cheezwhiz for Christs' sake. They rank with buying pretzels ON the Schuykill expressway.
Here, you get real meat, actual cheese and a decent sub roll.

We went to Pennsylvania a few years ago and, on one of our stops, ate at a place called Isaac's. We thought it was a local restaurant but apparently it was a chain. I can't remember what I ordered but I remember thinking that I'd stop in again if I ever passed another one.

On this I agree. I've only been to Philadelphia twice, but last time I had a delicious steak sandwich in Old Town. Now, kallisto is probably going to scream "I didn't mean THAT AWFUL place!", but I really like Sonny's Famous Steaks. Yes, they're not historic (opened in 2000), and they're somewhat touristy due to their location, but I really liked the bread and meat. It was all good.
Oh, and I was poking fun at Geno's style earlier. You'd have to pay me to eat that cheeze whiz.

Actually I rarely eat beef anymore,haven't had a cheese steak in years. But did enjoy them when I was a carnivore.
I'm just busting stones. But I do caution against eating at Pat's or Geno's, they're tourist traps. Tony Luke's is a better bet, or any one of the neighborhood joints that a local can recommend. Although since the city has become gentrified and hipsterized, the local mom and pops may have gone out of business. #Sad!

He's 100% correct on all. Good for him for staying calm and rational as he actually did something about a minor transgression.
And it was a *minor* transgression. She got called on it immediately, and is now being publicly embarrassed by the video. I'd be surprised if the issue went any further. But it might make her lose, maybe, possibly, just a *smidgen* of the sense of entitlement she apparently has. And if so, that's good enough for 10 minutes of simple police work...
