Why Are Leftwing Politicians Avoiding Saying "Christians" Were Murdered in the Sri Lanka Easter Attacks?
Obama, Hillary, and most of the gang of clowns running for the Democrat nomination have settled on a strange locution to avoid admitting that sometimes Christians are victims (and not just (Oppressors, as The Narrative demands): they're calling the people targeted "Easter worshippers."

The emotion you are supposed to have when the word "Christian" is heard or read is one of disgust and moral/intellectual superiority over the Christian.
That is why they couldn't say "Christians", because showing kindness to Christians would cause confusion among Progs. That is why they said "Easter Worshippers". Its an empty phrase that up to now was not associated to any emotional response.

They are not blinders. They are intentionally shrinking the ever smaller window of what is acceptable to say and believe.
They are also terrified of the common people uniting and the best way to keep us divided is to make us argue over EVERYTHING, including obvious atrocities where people of all stripes would naturally be on the same page. A house divided, etc.
September 11 united a large part of this country. It brought patriotism back en vogue. That's when "they" realized that that can never be allowed to happen again. This - that's what I got out of the Flucking NYT article I read this morning while trying to confirm that the Amish were at it again in Sri Lanka.

Going on the evidence, it's about 50/50 that *their leadership* is not wrong. Look at the rulers of the Saudi aligned nations - look at how they live, and how their families live. Their daughters do not tool around barefoot, with sacks on their heads.
The western left in the EU (and to a lesser extend their NA wannabees) represents a group that spent a millennia paying lip service to the church; they care not one bit about piety, only about displaying the appropriate appearance of such while going about their business of (literally) lording it over everyone else.
What matters is staying on top of the heap. Their presumption is that if another faith sweeps into power, they'll make all the appropriate noises and continue going on pretty much as they always have, but with a new set of arbitrary appearances to keep up.
All of the pet causes, all of the various marginalized groups - the left's leadership gives no fucks about any of them. They're tools, and when the time comes they will go right under the bus without a moment's hesitation.
It's some of the rank and file that will come to regret this alliance - but even then, it'll mostly just be those that are affected that give a shit.

That is what a K-12 + 4/6/8 of government education gives you.
You learn to say "food desert" rather than "convenience store". "homeless" rather than "drug addict". "immigrant", "spark of divinity", "little gifts of love" instead of "illegal alien".
You learn to string together words so that they guide an emotional narrative because emotions provoke people to action far more than mere ideas. At one time, people would be motivated to act on something due to natural impulses like "hunger" or "freezing", but welfare killed that avenue.

They recognized that this was not helping their cause, so they started avoiding using the words "Muslim terrorist" or even "Muslim" when something bad was done by one. That's why it was so refreshing to have Trump come up and straight out say Islamic terrorism when some news organizations had even banned the damned phrase.
And why its frustrating that Trump has not yet said anything about Christian victims, either.

And that is why they had to start with Global Warming because "Change" was previously associated with an implied Change for the Better.
Once "Global" and "Climate" were tied to FUD, then they could slowly replace "Warming" with "Change" because Change no longer holds its meaning as something positive and beneficial.
Notice how "Change" is no longer associated positively with political campaigns.

I live in NJ and we've had Muslims since the late '70's--they followed the immigration pathways of the Christian Arabs who'd been coming here since the 1890's. But you're right since 9/11, the number has exponentially grown.
I think Obama was letting in 1,000,000+ a year and strategically spreading out the immigrants to all areas.

Actually, cricket is much simpler than baseball. I give you, e.g., the balk rule, the infield fly rule, the dropped third strike rule, to name a few.
In cricket, the bowler tries to knock the stumps off of the wicket at the "crease." If he succeeds, the batsman is out (basically a strikeout). The batsman tries to prevent that with the bat, oftentimes just dinking the ball to prevent the ball hitting the wicket.* If he gets a pitch (whatever it's called) that he likes, and takes a full cut, and he likes the hit, he runs to the opposite crease (basically second base), while his teammate who was there changes places with him. That's a run. If the defensive team beats the batsman to the wicket with the ball, they knock the stumps off the wicket, and the batsman is out. If the batsman hits the ball over a boundary, that's basically a home run, and counts for six runs.
Simple, really.
*If the bowler hits the wicket with the ball, but the stumps do not fall off, that's a "sticky wicket."

The problem is that, while many (perhaps most) Muslims have no interest in terrorism or dominating a culture, they don't have a lot of trouble with those who do.
Its like abortion clinic bombers (you know the two that have ever happened in history almost 30 years ago but people will never shut up about). Christians condemn that immediately and think its wrong but... also think "but I understand why."
All those nice Muslims who blend in and fit our culture also have no problem with Sharia law and total Muslim control of the nation, outlawing other faiths.

Basketball has that problem, too. Too many hopelessly arbitrary rules that require constant judgment calls from the officials. (Just how long has that guy been in the key? Are they playing a zone defense?)
Now every sport entails some judgment calls, but there are so many in basketball it must be exhausting to officiate.

Leftards are leftards because they did not fully actualize as human beings.
There are two major flavors. One is comfortable as a predator while the other behaves like prey animals.
The prey animals vastly outnumber the predator kind. Their only interest is in the false security of numbers since it is easier for them to outrun their fellow prey than it is to outrun the predators.
While it would be great to fix it so that these not-fully-actualized subhumans can graduate into becoming real actualized humans, the safer bet is to leverage their core shortcoming, irrational fear.
That was the true lesson of General Pinochet's salvation of Chile in 1973. Take the reins of fear from the hands of the collectivist demagogues.
This can be done with a minimum of bloodshed.

Exactly. Pinochet terrifies the left, out of all proportion to his crimes, because of his surgical precision. The left needs a tightly controlled central authority to keep the machine together. This is also how and why American intervention in Venezuela will end well: and why the President will probably use it as a dry run for his actions here.

Washington state and some other (I forget which) are now considering legislation to allow dead people to be turned into compost material.
The supporters say it's a cheaper alternative for disposing of dead bodies than burial, and it's better for the environment than cremation.

Though, Christians aren't highly considered in India. Many of the political parties there actively shit on Christians in speeches. They may not find a lot of sympathy.
