The Morning Rant

talking ape.jpg
"I remember, a month or two before the 2016 election, that I did something I don't normally do: I actually went to the main page of the CNN website, and I was shocked. The page contained links to 6 of their main 'news' articles, all of them relentlessly negative toward Trump, and a couple of them virulently so. That's when I first realized that something had gone very, very wrong. There wasn't even a pretense of objectivity. So I was reminded of this yesterday when the Mueller report was released and there on CNN was this huge desk on the set (must've cost them a fortune) and behind it, there was a human centipede, 8 or 9 commentators, all relentlessly bashing Trump, eating and regurgitating each other's crap talking points. Again I was amazed, just like 2016, that any pretense of objectivity was gone. but now I guess that's just naivete on my part. The journalism standards have changed from 'you can run anything that you can corroborate with verified sources' to 'you can run anything that bashes Trump.' And then they get offended when Trump calls them the enemy of the people. I know because I hear them complaining about it when they're handing out journalisming awards to each other. Which I suppose they have to do, to shield themselves from the truth that most normal Americans hold them in the same regard as infomercials or used-car salesman. The guy who comes on Me-TV in the afternoon and promises you big money from suing some company if you've contracted mesothelioma is more reputable. Saul Goodman > Brian Stelter. Goodman actually works for a living. Stelter is just a pasty lump of dough."

former architect of Notre Dame Cathedral (13 years). It's in French but
subtitled.A couple of take aways - 800 year old oak would take "a lot of
kindling" to ignite and would burn slowly. The fire started in an area
where there was no work being done. Finally, there are state of the art
sensors and 2 men on guard 24/7 monitoring them. At least the French
press isn't afraid to mention these things. Looks fishy as
hell.-------

He responded by hunting down White at a rooftop party on one of the structures he designed (Madison Square Garden, IIRC) and capped him in front of G-d and everyone. It was a scandal.

238 Looking at Rachel Maddow's face the asymmetry seems to be mostly at the mouth, suggesting that she may have congenital absence of the depressor anguli oris muscle, or more appropriately (given her track record) "asymmretric crying facies syndrome"

"The depressor anguli oris muscle sometimes does not develop in utero, meaning the baby is born without the muscle. This absence is not noticeable when the baby is quiet; however, when crying a facial asymmetry is visible."

Since the 'depressor muscle is missing on one side, that corner of the mouth tends to turn upward when crying or showing other emotions.

And yes- there IS a code for that.

339 >>**cough**Obama**cough**

Obama was at least smart enough to run as a moderate and his record for the most part was one of voting "Present".

Harris has already defined herself as an angry black woman with a record of flip flopping and her performance during the Kavanaugh hearings was a disgrace. It will not play outside of deep blue states.

Trump is going to run on the best economy in 50 years and no wars. I have a hard time seeing any of these dwarves giving him much trouble and Harris is near the bottom of that list.

I'm not sure where I found this link but it is an interview with the
former architect of Notre Dame Cathedral (13 years). It's in French but
subtitled.A couple of take aways - 800 year old oak would take "a lot of
kindling" to ignite and would burn slowly. The fire started in an area
where there was no work being done. Finally, there are state of the art
sensors and 2 men on guard 24/7 monitoring them. At least the French
press isn't afraid to mention these things. Looks fishy as

WASHINGTON (AP) - Americans burned a record amount of energy in 2018, with a 10% jump in consumption from booming natural gas helping to lead the way, the U.S. Energy Information Administration says.

Overall consumption of all kinds of fuels rose 4% year on year, the largest such increase in eight years, a report this week from the agency said. Fossil fuels in all accounted for 80% of Americans' energy use.

That's despite increasingly urgent warnings from scientists that humans are running out of time to stave off the harshest effects of climate change by cutting greenhouse gas emissions from consuming coal, oil and natural gas.

We had a good friend--- now, alas, no longer with us --- who spent a couple of decades working for Izvestia in the USSR. He would point out to us the many techniques the Soviet press used that are also seen in our establishment media.

One of them is what he called the round-table of agreement. Heh. When the ruling class had something difficult to address, a particularly tricky lie, you did not have it pronounced by one figure. That would seem authoritative, dictatorial.
What you did was get a collection of 5 or more people to "discuss" the subject and present the line in various forms. It creates the illusion of widespread acceptance of the narrative.

Damn I wish that old Rooskie had lived a few more years.
He would have loooooved Trump.

Dawww, you say the sweetest things.

One thing to remembe about 2024 speculation: the state of total insanity in the media is real, yes, but it's also tactical. Donald Trump has no advantage, and has mortal folly, in letting everyone who plotted against him walk free. That guarantees his indictment when he leaves office. After 2020 he has to bleed the Democrats dry, assuming he doesn't (or hasn't) poached a large number of Sanders supporters.

Trump is going after everyone without a last name of Obama. Get hyped.

Car interior fires are incredibly hot. The urethane foam in the upholstery burns like old celluloid movie film. I have burned old car seats in my burn barrel.

And once the interior is burned out, the is a write-off anyway. Guaranteed. So, if the battery exploded, so what? car was already a goner. As you would have been, had you still been in there.

I am in no way a Toyota fanboi, or (shudder) a Prius fanboi. But they are do make durable cars, and the Prius does seem to work well for the taxi companies, who have reason to note fuel economy.

Okay, I didn't realize it was hot enough to blow a battery. I do know I got out just as the fire was jumping to the front and I could FEEL the heat, so that makes sense. I'm really not trying to scam anybody, I just want to know what happened.

The architect basically says the fire didn't start where there was work being done, electrical fire impossible, state of the art sensors in the attic monitored 24/7, 800 year old oak nearly impossible to ignite without "kindling" and the fire burned way too fast for 800 year old oak.
Posted by: Timon at April 19, 2019 11:59 AM (dKm4U)

Putting aside all the other questions, what would an arsonist have to do in order to make the wood burn that fast? That implies that the wood would have to be prepared ahead of time.
